The Israeli information blackout serves to keep Battleground Damage Assessment (BDA) from helping Iran with target choices. It's a sound war policy but in this day and age satellite and drone footage gives remarkable damage assessments and cannot be stopped.
Such is the help Iran is getting from China and Russia, along with their own drone footage.
And with the outrageous propaganda we are getting from our own MSM, which is directly penned by the government and fed to the domestic news(?) service, we have a basterdized blackout of our own.
Certainly nothing we hear or read can be taken as truth by any measure. Thankfully, we have the internet and thousands of sources to advance much more info to glean the truth from.
Until we don't.
I've decided to break out my short wave and search for alternative sources just in case the internet gets shut down, which to me would heavily indicate we are going nuclear on Iran and expect a like response from China, Russia, or even Pakistan.
I may be over reacting but I'm convinced our government would try to hide it or never admit the use of a nuclear device, but would try to convince us it was a MOAB.
I just want a little warning so as to bugout in a timely fashion.
In other news, the meme "Epstein Class" seems to have stuck, as I'm seeing it used more frequently and widely.
Good. It gives us a convenient target for our anger that everyone on Earth can readily identify.

I'm still getting a wide range of sources from all over the globe on the 'net. Some I trust to give me a semblance of truth. Others I trust to reveal to me what the liars want me to believe. A still others that are way out in left field that serve as a guardrail for both sides.
Shortwave has it's language downsides and many English stations are tainted with Epstein class bias.
But some are totally independent and small time operators who just want to talk about what is going on.

The home front
The war leads the news, but there is no actual news. Here in West Hollywood, gasoline was already normalized at over four bucks a gallon. Lots of stations at convenient locations have been charging over five bucks for the last several years. This morning the price at my cheapy station went up from $4.09.9 to 429.9. That is below the highest rates I've seen the last few years.
But I saw something new in terms of social cohesion this morning -- middle class looking pan handlers. As I was gassing up at about 8am, two relatively well dressed young people working the gas pumps. The first guy looked prosperous and he asked for a dollar or two for "a cup of coffee." Weird pitch for a beggar. The second panhandler was an attractive and very polite African American woman.
Probably coincidence rather than fallout from Trump War I, but when the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

Gas here is inching up
By inching up I mean a dime to a quarter every couple of days. I averaging around $4 here in Washington State.
But propane is going up faster than that, running $3.50 a gallon. If we didn't ship it to Europe it would probably be a buck a gallon.

The "Kuwait shot down 3 of our fighter jets"
story has me struggling. First we focus our attention on the wrongness of Kuwait having flawed air defense, so flawed that it endangers our fighter jets and their crews. Then we learn Iran says it shot down one U.S. fighter jet in the area. Then we learn the incidents happened during combat.
What actually happened is impossible for us to know. But it seems the immediate report from our government is that it was friendly fire by a government whose country we occupy, but not by us, with air defense equipment that made an error, but not named as to brand or manufacturer or system.
And we can't help but suspect that if witnesses hadn't posted video of a falling plane and parachuting pilot, we may never have known about it. Three fighter jets in one day. Sheesh.

Kuwait shares a border with Iran. What were they doing flying over Kuwaiti airspace if not to attack Iran?
My money is on Iran shot them down before they entered Iranian airspace and the narrative is friendly fire.

claiming an American warship fired the missile that struck the school. But I don't know how truthful or accurate it is. The same post noted the arrest of a married Navy couple charged with drug abuse on the same ship.. One was something like a Chief Ordnance Officer and the other involved with logistics.

I have always had a tiny short wave ever since
living in China pre internet. There were no English language newspapers except the People's Daily. The internet is a firehose. Lots of bad information and also a lot of very accurate info, it's up to the user to ignore one's own biases and value true information.
I feel the info out of Iran is fairly accurate. Some BS but it often gets culled before it gets to the mainstream media. Of course there simply isn't very much information anyway. Mostly people argue over unimportant details, or try to spin like the side they support is somehow winning. If you can ignore opinion and speculation, it's not too difficult.
I think Europe and China are hurt more by oil delivery disruption, than we are, we are a net exporter.
I think it's true that right now the US and Israel can fly wherever they want over Iran without worry. It's also true that some missiles are making it through to US military bases. (and today our embassy in Dubai) Iran should run out of drones and missiles a long time before we get sick of flying.
There is speculation that Mossad has extremely detailed real time location of many leaders of Iran.

Someone just blew up a Russian LNG transport
with maybe 30 to 50 million worth of gas on it. They say it was hit with an unscrewed surface drone which sounds a lot like Ukraine. I guess unscrewed means powered by a jet engine or something?
natural gas pipelines have been interrupted by the war and eros use lots of natural gas.
