This fall the news seems to in a constant recycle of major themes. Regularly seek out the news sources I read, do not have any active news feeds and tend to ignore the current trend of most popular stories on a site. The newest trend I have noticed is instead of left/right media (for lack of better definition) responding to each others stories they are creating unique cycles for their target audience.

The world discourse has changed. Subjects or hypotheses considered not for civilized society are now being discussed. The stages of the discussion vary greatly depending on the news sources and information being spoon fed to a target groups via news feeds. I tend to use what would be considered right leaning sites for most references since left leaning sites are well covered Monday through Friday.

China's economy is collapsing has been a constant theme since I first visited in 1989. In my opinion two primary reasons. The first a desire to displace the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) as rulers of China. Second foreign investors are not the primary beneficiary of development in China. Improved quality of life for citizens is a major priority. Perfect - no - but what system is?

Spent an interesting evening in the fall of 2002 with some business students in Xian discussing the future. They were educating me on Adam Smith's model of economics and how US used it to become the industrial powerhouse of the world. They were optimistic China could move from the world designated low quality manufacture of the moment and replace the high-end manufactures of the world in 20 years.

Objectively, he has a point. China’s real GDP is 50 times what it was since reform and opening up began in 1978, far outpacing growth rates in Japan and the Asian Tigers (South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong) during their miracle decades.

What we have here are new breadcrumbs pointing to a genuine coup attempt, one that grew as each stage in the deployment failed, culminating in relentless media campaigns, lawfare, and even assassination attempts. Of course, this was not just about politics in the US. Populist movements had come alive the world over, from Europe to the UK to Brazil. Fully 194 countries were locked down over several weeks, with the claim that the problem would be fixed with universal human separation followed by injection of a compliant population. The scenario being built here through these releases is nothing short of terrifying.

Some countries reacted to COVID as a bioweapon. One suspicion was the virus utilized a growing scientific understanding of differing physical responses based on genetics of different populations and familial groups.
