Album of the Week 10-4-25
Submitted by joe shikspack on Sat, 10/04/2025 - 3:00pm
Afternoon folks!
Here we go. Starting off we've got a couple of live albums, one from Albert King and one a compendium of live performances at the Montreux Blues Festival over the years by Luther Allison. After that, we have an album of zydeco from Clifton Chenier. Then shifting gears to blues-rock we have Roy Buchanan's for many years unreleased first album and some later live recordings. We finish up in the diversity bag with Los Straitjackets doing a kind of revved-up surf/rockabilly kinda thing.
Enjoy the tunes, have a great weekend!

Hi joe
Somehow, my dinner ended up even spicier than usual. I think it might have had something to do with listening to Chenier while cooking ; ).
