It was 30 years ago today we got hitched. Almost half a lifetime! Hope to take the
blushing bride out for a meal at a local waterfront restaurant, so may be unavailable
for comments later.
Noticed the Supremes are back in session. Wonder what they will try to legislate from
the bench this go around? And there are rumors Congress returns from their summer
'recess'. That could be messy with the budget fight and whatnot. Politics as usual.
And of course, the Executive branch wants to isolate the US with financial warfare on
the rest of the world. Backfiring tariffs screwing farmers and industries. What a way to
ruin a railroad.

We clocked in at 45 years this summer. Hoping to make it to 50 in 2030.
Off to B'ham today to see my 93 YO Mother. She's close to the end. Leaving this world can be difficult. I'm hoping I can bring her some ease.

My beautiful red-haired (and feisty!) Scottish bride and I just had our 36th last month. She may be sporting a teeny bit more gray now than when we first started out, but then so am I. I can still recognize her instantly in any crowd. And not a day goes by that someone doesn't ask her where she gets her hair color done (her pat answer is "age", since she has never colored her hair. Always good for a laugh...)
Didn't meet her until I was well into my 30s. Glad I waited! I don't know how many more anniversaries we'll get to have, but I'm enjoying what we have right now. You guys have a great day, and lift a glass of your favorite Adult Beverage for good measure!
