I mean, these are little inflatables doing coastal work. How is that effecting the big
bullies in Washington DC? That is not a threat, but an excuse to destroy another
sovereign nation. Not a good look to the ROW, especially south of the border.

And, having sailed those waters myself, I would be very miffed indeed if my vessel and I were to be converted into toothpicks by some enlisted member of our armed forces, just because we looked wrong, or were in the wrong place in the wrong time. That is Wrong-with-a-capital-W, indefensible, and makes me very embarrassed to be an American.
Nothing whatsoever gives us that permission. We are absolutely in the wrong here. The problem is that the Powers That Be don't see that as a problem: they believe that Might Makes Right, and gleefully commit extrajudicial killings (on the high seas and elsewhere) with alarming regularity. I absolutely feel the same way that you do about it- but there is nothing whatsoever that you and I can do about it, since both Approved Tribes think that such things are just ducky-fine. The United States of America routinely kills whomever they please, whereever they please, laws and treaties be damned; and will continue to do so until someone stops them.
And we absolutely, realistically should expect other countries to return the favor. I've been waiting for just that to begin happening, and don't think I'll be sailing those waters again any time soon. Sad, innit?

We've got the CIA and our special ops guys of several flavors and the brits have MI-6 and gawd only knows what else. We do seem, for now, however, to be the most globally lawless
Mos of the drugs, and especially fentanyl coming into the country are brought in by us citizens and distributed by us citizens, but we can't admit that.
