It's been about 20 years since I've body surfing, too. The turtle was at Santee Lakes. People use it as a dumping ground for their pet turtles they don't want anymore. This one was crossing the road there. The other photographer that was with me picked it up and moved it out of the road after I took that shot. The turtle expressed it's displeasure at being moved by peeing all over him.
Glad I was able to bring back some pleasant memories.

Brought back some pleasant memories. I used to like stopping at our truck terminal in Phoenix because it had a dirt lot and some prairie dogs. Watch out for the holes! I'm pretty sure we had a hole or two in the yard of our first home in TX.

I love body surfing! Haven't done it in several years, well maybe twenty. I love turtles too. When I see them in the road, if it won't cause an accident, I'll stop to get them back in the pond where they came from. They used to come into our yard regularly.

The second image is a flower submerged in a small fish tank filled with a mix of water and club soda, hence all the bubbles.

but ran into a bunch of blocks on here. So, I hope this posts. I love your potpourrai pics, especially that 2nd image. What is it? A flower? Right now, things have calmed down in h-bomb territory. H-bomb is hurricane. We still have a little more than 2 months of this sh1t. And no FEMA. Oh well. Anywho, Rec'd!!.
BTW, I loved to bodysurf back when I was young and agile. I've always been a waterbug. Enuff said.
