Struggling to stay logged in. Will give Windows a try. May have to go to Verison on my phone.
Anyway, was trying to write about our weekend in Kalama, Washington.
Great car show. Getting bigger every year and a lot of new entries. Some beautiful cars (and trucks) that had to have taken years to "cherry-out", leaving no detail untouched.
You could tell by the age of the owners that it was their Dad's car originally, and in some cases maybe their Granddad's.
Family heirlooms, only in steel.
Had a great time walking the entire length of town and up and down each side street viewing these monuments to personal transportation.
I've been a motorhead all my life and even though I now drive an electric car, I still love the sound of a healthy high-powered motor.
So, I hope this posts ok.
Thread is open, let 'er rip.

Trying to set up a new macbook, just finished migrating data from the
old one, a bit above my pay grade, but seems to be working.
Also a lover of old vehicles. We have a few choice old trucks around here.
They are an inspiration. The rounded cabs and fenders..
Thanks for the OT

Good morning, e1!
I really mean it when I say "It is nice to see you".
I am a car fanatic. My second car, when I was 14, was a 1967 Mustang Mach 1. My very unsentimental Dad special ordered it for me. Back then, hubcaps always came off. For whatever reasons, he kept those hubcaps for the rest of his life. He moved from town to town, house to house, and when he died, I found them in his clothes closet. I want to string them on something, leather or metal, and hang them on the wall in my lair.
Glad you enjoyed your vacay! I am heading out to Galveston this afternoon for a few days, using a court appearance there as the excuse to party and play.
I will just ignore the predicted daily scattered thundershowers.
Thanks for the OT!

My Mom had a '65 Mustang
and she let me drive it to the Prom. Yup, soon as I got around the corner the hubcaps came off. Heh, then I fretted all night not to forget to put them back on before I got home.
Have a good time in Galveston.

How funny!
When the photographer came to the school to do the annual photos for the yearbook, he insisted on the car being in the back ground for things like class favorites.
Old DPS officers still bitch about never being able to catch me to give me a speeding ticket.
Well, Dad said he would ground me if I got a ticket. He spent lots of money getting me a car they couldn't catch.

Good morning e1. It is not just you, the site winks in and out,
going blank or giving me "site unavailable" notifications. I run 3 browsers for reasons and can ergo quickly verify that it isn't a particular browser. I suspect hiccups related to the great site migration project which is, I'm certain, a horribly complicated process given all the changes and updates and upgrades that must simultaneously be sorted out and tested and implemented and re-tested.
Wife's birthday here, so things to do related to that event. Just happens to occur on a day set aside aside for some specific indoor chores plus the usual outdoor ones. Already behind on bird feeding and the scrubbie is letting me know, which is bugging the shit out of the cat we are cat-sitting, so I guess that is my next priority today.
Something of a car nut myself, sort of envious at the moment as a result.
be wll and have a good one

Yeah, JtC says
he'll have something to say about it this Friday.
I just have to wait awhile and it returns to normal. Which still makes me suspect TPTB might be effin' with us.

I always say
that if I had all the money that I'd spent on cars- I would spend it all on cars... (;-)
Twice bitten, permanently shy.
I used to say
if I had a million dollars I would spend it on fast cars, fast women, and good wine. The rest I would frival away on unimportant stuff.
None of that works today as a million dollars is a tract house in Reseda.
Thanks for the post.

Of course this will have no impact on inflation in the US.

"Was it something I said?" In the past, sometimes it has been.
Kevin has a brief bio on his youtube channel introducing himself and his background. He's lived in China quite a while, yet doesn't speak, read or understand Mandarin. I understand about the tones. I don't even try to understand the tones, but I try to remember the pinyin, for a rough idea of the sound, especially if I know the character already in Korean (Hanja) just for comparison to the Korean sound.
In any case Warmsley is a very smart guy I think, especially about business. He said he had military experience as an intel specialist. I guess if the Chinese cared they would have kicked him out long ago. I liked this discussion I listened to yesterday, but I had trouble uploading it. It's about the US war business and why it's failing. But the US is still building new bases in the Western Pacific. There are five relatively new ones in the Philippines, one in Tinian, one in Yap, and they brought a missile battery to one of Iwo Jima prefecture islands closest to Taiwan. Money's no object I guess. The
Tenoku (sp?)Henoko base in Iwo Jima prefecture isn't finished yet. This Chinese oldie is more my speed, it's quite short. I like the Teresa Teng version. Her voice is so good. It reminds me of the very old Korean song 정읍사 ( 井邑詞 ) Jeong Eub Tale ( 달님이여 ) Dear Moon by ( 이정표 ) Lee Jung-pyo, I posted here before. Wife misses husband while he's away on business?
冬戀 Winter Love
Cold winds blow, snow descends on the mountaintop, late autumn has passed.
Cold clouds, swirl swiftly in the distance, carrying my emotions aloft
Wild geese also headed south, please convey my feelings
Tell of her deep affection as before, as true as emerald green bamboo.
I can't express my endless longing. Yet I hope you'll bring news of him soon.
Thanks for the OT earthling1.

is to weaken the west, in this case by scaring them into draining their economies
by spending too much on useless weapons. Seems to be working.
