Some darn nice looking sleds
almost makes one want to climb aboard
and fire them up, just to hear the engines purr.
These are things dreams are made of.
Thanks social!
question everything
Hi, Q
There were a lot of beautiful cars on display. The 55 Mercedes 300SL Gullwing was by far my favorite. My dream would be hearing it purring in my garage.

Good choice!
I also like the blue and white cadillac cabriolet
It appears your monitor needs color calibration
The Cadillac Cabriolet is three different shades of purple.

Three different shades of purple!
I'm not sure if it's my monitor or eyes that need recalibrating. Now that you mention it I see the purple in the blue. Is the white a pale lavender colour?
I would call it pale lavender
or maybe pastel purple.

Looking at those images makes me think of the days when
white wall tires were almost a status symbol.
Hi, humphrey
I didn't know white walls were considered a status symbol. I do know they sure do make the cars from that era look more appealing. I don't think whitewalls would look very good on today's cars.

Hi humphrey
I think the white tires appear to elevate the body from the ground.
I guess that I did not explain my thoughts correctly.
@Socialprogressive
I was referring to the period of the late 50's early 60's when white walls were more expensive than black walls that the peons could afford.
I came of age during the muscle car era
By then whitewalls were pretty much a thing of the past so the cost difference between whitewalls and black tires never came up.

Hi Social
Maybe you could wish for one of these for Christmas. At only $500 us, you could look at it and dream forever. On the other hand, for $1,400,000 you could hear it purr and cruise around ; ).

Thanks Social for each and every friday!

I see no radio in the dashboard. For that kind of money you would think it would come with a radio. The models that you linked to look great. Nicely detailed and well crafted, but I don't have $500 hiding between the couch cushions so I'm stuck with having to look at the photos I took.

I had no idea
that the gullwing had its origins 70 years ago. I thought I was seeing things several years ago while standing outside the airport when I watched the wing of a lexus open for a passenger.
It's a unique design
On the right vehicle it's art.

Evening all
Looks like snow, no?
It is flowering Kanuka and Manuka boughs drooping in the early summer rain.
Be well all and enjoy
snow flowers
enchanting
thanks janis!
question everything
Hi, Janis
I always marvel at how green everything is in NZ even during the summer months. I looked at your photo before reading what you posted. My first thought was the trees were covered in dew. I have a eucalyptus tree in my backyard that has white flowers that one would think might look like snow, except they don't melt when they fall to the ground. Instead, I get to sweep them up.

I still marvel at the eternal greeness
That has never diminished, even grown stronger in the past 28 years.
I got a firewood delivery yesterday, which is a mixture of Gum (eucalyptus) and Macrocarpa (Monterey Cyprus). The delivery was not all the way from California ; ).
kiwi snow!
Well look at that Kiwi snow!
It looks beautiful. Do they smell good?
Hope all is well!
takle care!

Hi d!
If you can get close enough to stick your nose in the tiny blossoms then the fragrance is divine, a mixture of spicy and sweet. My neighbour extracted some of his honey yesterday which will contain some of its fragrance. I look forward to tasting it.
Hi pixelators
HI all, Hey SP!
Awesome photos of a bunch of awesome vehicles SP! GREAT work man!
Here's a tune for them...

Hi, dystopian
Great song selection. Thank Mysdys for the shot of Katy. Could it be that Katy is at the candle to get warm? Don't work to hard.

Thanks for the tune and photo d,
and thanks for dropping them.
Have a good sleep in later when your work is done ; )
