Album of the Week 10-26-24
Submitted by joe shikspack on Sat, 10/26/2024 - 3:00pm
Afternoon folks!
Get ready for some great blues! Starting off, there's a live album from Otis Rush and a studio album from harmonica player Shakey Jake Harris. Following that, is what I think is John Hammond's best album ever featuring members of The Band - Levon Helm, Robbie Robertson, Garth Hudson along with Mike Bloomfield and Charlie Musselwhite. Yowzah! Following that is a 1969 Creedence Clearwater Revival album and then a zydeco album from John Delafose. Finishing up is a pop album from The Zombies.
Enjoy the tunes and have a great weekend!
Here 'tis:
Otis Rush ~ So Many Roads (Live In Concert)
Shakey Jake Harris ~ The Devil's Harmonica
Creedence Clearwater Revival ~ Willie & The Poor Boys
John Delafose ~ Heartaches And Hot Steps

Hey, joe!
CCR, The Zombies, Delafose...
You took 20 years off me, bud!
Dear One and I are never sick, but 2 Sundays ago, neither of us felt up to getting to the Delafose concert. At least he plays that nearby venue several times a year.
One day...
Thanks for the tunes and face lift!

yeah that hammond album and another one that he did with dr. john and mike bloomfield (called "triumvirate" it's also on my youtube channel) vie to be my favorite hammond album. any given week, it might be one or the other. they are both outstanding albums.
have a great weekend!
