Friday Night Photos Travelogue Pt1 Edition
Welcome to Friday Night Photos everyone. Your once a week break from the daily madness of the crazy world we live in. Post any photos, memes, music, or whatever else you find of interest that helps you escape the madness.
Earlier this month I went on a road trip to the San Francisco Bay Area for a family get together. The drive there, though long (8.5 hrs), went smooth most of the way. As is often the case, the traffic gods imposed the slow crawl toll to get through L. A. adding an extra hour of drive time. The rest of the drive was a breeze.
I had a wonderful time. It was great seeing family. Beautiful weather and a little time to get out with the camera while there added icing to the cake.
First up in the travelogue is a drive through 17-Mile Drive in Monterey, home to some of the most scenic coastline in Ca, 8 golf courses, and some really expensive homes.
This point of land is named after me
The long and winding road leading to my point
I told you it was named after me.
Nobody knows how these rocks get stacked like this. I think it's space aliens.

Hi, Q.
Like you, my first visit to Monterey was about 50 years ago and you're right, it's grown.
Next years travel for the soul will be to either Oregon or Utah. I can't wait.
I'm great at multi-tasking. I can waste time, be unproductive, and procrastinate all at the same time.

Hi pixelators
Hi all, Hey SP!
Awesome shots SP! Sounds like a great trop! Can't wait to see more. These are great photos! Of a place I have been numerous times. What a beautiful area that is. Used to bird up there a bit. Done a bunch of boat trips for seabirds in Monterey Bay. Pt. Pinos is the hot seawatching spot at south point of the bay. Those rocks are full of oystercatchers and other rockpipers. Often Black Guillemots along the drive from the point to the warfs. Sea Otters, are common there too. Best clam chowder I ever had was on the pier there at the harbor.
Here are a couple suggestions for a road trip...
1929 Ford Model A
I think this was a 43 Buick, but maybe was 30's. Note tumble seat.
looks like something zz would approve of...
I think this was 1920's?
There was a 'car show here last weekend at the park. Which here means it is the weekend everyone takes the old girls out of the garage and gives them a running, meeting at the park for the day. These are mostly all just hidden in garages around town...
hope all are well!
happy trails!
