I wanted to change the world

Please note I enjoy this community and want to thank you for listening (reading) essays and comments that I have written or will write in the future. Moreover, I am grateful you have helped me understand to stop being a passive observer and be a part of something greater not only for myself but for all the people I love and even for some of them that need my help/understanding. Therefore, with the coming days there will be negative feelings, angry and challenges that will occur during the rest of the campaign and with efforts to keep something tangible going forward (a movement). Therefore, with this in mind, I wanted to share the following with you. Please read and reflect and take a moment for your self because in the grand scheme of things "it is all good".

I wanted to change the world

"When I was a young man, I wanted to change the world.

I found it was difficult to change the world, so I tried to change my nation.

When I found I couldn't change the nation, I began to focus on my town. I couldn't change the town and as an older man, I tried to change my family.

Now, as an old man, I realize the only thing I can change is myself, and suddenly I realize that if long ago I had changed myself, I could have made an impact on my family. My family and I could have made an impact on our town. Their impact could have changed the nation and I could indeed have changed the world."

Author: unknown monk around 1100 AD

By the way, until earlier this year I was the older man- trying to change my family. Now guess what, I just need to change myself- taking action to be involved and being active in a positive movement. Thank you!

There are known knowns; there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns – the ones we don't know we don't know.

If you want to do something for the world, you gotta do it for yourself first.

REALLY, REALLY big set of diapers.

If there is one recurring theme in humanity's past, it is that the past is a wonderful teacher and predictor of patterns that continue to recur, pretty much on a regular basis. Most of those timeline cycles, tho, can take 10-350 years. The hard part is recognition. The signal reception. The measurable similarities. And of course, our minds' insistence to find patterns where none exist.
