These are repurposed railcars stripped and dropped off the coast of Georgia to
become part of an artificial reef. Gives the fish something different to habituate.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

@QMS how many of the targets got through, and how many were stopped.

Of course, most of the news these days is censorship and lies, so perhaps we'll never know.

about 1972 a great deal, largely because I'm rereading "Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail" again, and your comment kicked off an irresistable need to repost this jewel:

I have been busy having fun, haven't followed up much on news, so I thought you might bring me and the rest of us up to date with the Stein campaign. I read that she had made a very hawkish statement about Iran, iirc. I read that her staff had to walk it back, and that she made some clarifying statement.
I have slept since then, wonder if you can elaborate on the details.
Thanks for the OT, and any info you have on Steins alleged faux pas.

I get the daily Stein press releases
in my inbox, usually just scan & delete
know nothing about her alleged statement

will say, her platform is much less hawkish
than the other two by a wide margin

enjoy your vakay

@on the cusp The political party which would defeat the Two-Party System, the MORENA the US needs, has yet to be formed.

As for Trump versus Harris, my verdict of "who cares?" was reinforced upon watching this interview with former finance bigwig Tony Norfield:

RT-text

not what you was looking for I'm sure. It says, below,

Web page addresses and e-mail addresses turn into links automatically.

so dunno how the tool is ss'posed to werk. something about alt-l??

Copy URL and post to top line, contrive a name for it and put on second line, dunno whuffo, but contrive title and put in 3rd line, click ok box or hit carriage return, when you save it should turn into a link, but not while you are posting it.

reefers indeed

yeah, I notice posters here frequently will have a hyperlink embedded in the
body of an essay, which on my screen shows up as a blue word.
Thought it would be good to figure out how to do it.
Followed JtC's explanation in the FAQ's
but doesn't seem to work on this machine. BTW, second button, not third.
No biggie. Can always cut and paste. But if the text you want to share
is embedded in a long list of comments .. cumbersome at best. Oh well.
Never claimed to be a programmer. Wink

@QMS Just above the comment text box a line of graphics to format by mouse clicks shows in my Firefox browser on the computer.

2nd box in is the Insert Text Link command. (Shift-Alt-L pressed at the same time is a manual method)

I use the top line box (Link URL) to copy the address from the target website, The second (Link text) will become the blue text.

  • Option 1: Highlight the text in your comment to turn blue (hyperlink) then right click on the Text Link icon or press Shift-Alt-L. Text will automatically appear in the second line (Link text). Then type or cut & paste the link address in the top line box (Link URL). Leave title blank. Click OK. Programing text will be included in your comment text. Use Preview to verify the desired text is blue and link works.
  • Option 2: Right click on the Text Link icon or press Shift-Alt-L. Then type or cut & paste the link address in the top line box (Link URL). Then type or cut & paste the link address in the second line box (Link text). Leave title blank. Click OK. Programing text will be included in your comment text. Use Preview to verify the desired text is blue and link works.

End of my limited knowledge. Not sure how the third line (Link title) would function.

that would explain why it did not work for me ..
clarity comes slowly on such matters at times
will try it again - disregarding the third box.

@enhydra lutris Hi EL,

cool with the railcar reef, are those who do that work "reefers"?

In the world of saltwater or marine aquarium keeping... the people that keep corals (versus fish-only tanks) are called reefers. There have been coral businesses called you guessed it, Reefer Madness. Smile Big fan myself...

A railcar is a perfect structure for the purpose...

happy trails!
