I have court out of town this morning, and with luck, the drive will be in a light right, not a heavy thunderstorm. Sigh...at least it is a final trial, and maybe I can close the file on this hideous case today.

My wife and I made
a pilgrimage this past weekend- we went to see my favorite-ever cult film, on the big screen at our local Alamo Draft House theater, as part of their "80s Time Capsule" series.
"The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension".
The second quote from the OP is closely aligned with one of the best Buckaroo sayings, of course.
There are too many wonderful things contained within the movie to even think about quoting them all here. But suffice it to say, for us it never gets old. And sight gags for days, especially for engineers who also play rock and roll...

Definitely one of John Lithgow's finest performances.
I love the scene where Reno and Sydney are chasing Red Lectroids in the engineering wing, and they go by the Charpy tester- and there's a watermelon in it. Syndey asks Reno "Why is there a watermelon in there?", and Reno says "I'll tell you later..."
