Now is not the time to stay silent.

Oh, hell no. This goes on my must miss list.

Microsoft Recall AI will log everything you do on Windows

The big picture: Desktop users will swear they've been in situations where they had to desperately search through emails, browser histories, and file folders trying to find that one thing they vaguely remember seeing or working on a few days prior. It's frustrating, but Microsoft may have cracked this problem with a new feature called Recall.

Launching for the upcoming Copilot+ PCs powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon X Elite chips, Recall is essentially an all-seeing eye that keeps tabs on everything you do on your computer. It then presents a scrollable timeline you can search through, using AI. In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella described the feature as an upgrade over traditional keyword search, dubbing it was "semantic search over all your history."

"It's not just about any document. We can recreate moments from the past," he said. He also provided a glimpse into what happens behind the scenes when the feature's turned on. Essentially, Windows takes screenshots of your screen constantly. It then uses a generative AI model right on the device along with the NPU to process all that data, including photos.

Snip...

Of course, there may be some privacy implications here, too. Microsoft's laying those to rest by claiming all Recall data stays local and private on your PC, and you can pause or delete logging as needed. However, it added that Recall won't proactively hide sensitive stuff like passwords or payment details.

We all know Microsoft is so trustworthy, right?

I'm amazed at how well the media manipulates the narrative.

Nuclear war. It was once unthinkable, but it has now been made mainstream in America's consciousness. Will we, wont we? Will they, wont they? Limited, full scale? It's insane to contemplate, let alone discuss.

This is how the media manipulates the masses.

One has to wonder what the fear is meant to distract us from.

Silence is golden. That rumbling you hear in the background are the muted voices
of discontent. If you can fine-tune the signal to noise ratio, patterns emerge.
Finding your voice in a sea of propaganda is challenging.

https://www.cnbc.com/2024/06/07/russia-putin-says-nearly-40percent-of-ru...

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Friday that nearly 40% of the country’s trade turnover is now in rubles as the share conducted in dollars, euros and other “non-friendly” Western currencies has fallen away.

Speaking at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), Putin said countries “friendly to Russia” were the ones that deserved special attention as they will define the future of the global economy, “and they already make up three-quarters of our trade volume.”

His comments come as the Kremlin leverages SPIEF to court new relationships with countries in Asia, Latin America and Africa.

The West has sought to cut off Russia’s $2 trillion economy in response to Moscow’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. Yet Russia’s economy is expected to grow faster than all advanced economies this year, despite several rounds of international sanctions.

In its World Economic Outlook in April, the International Monetary Fund said it expected Russia to grow 3.2% in 2024, exceeding the predicted 2.7% growth rate of the U.S. (2.7%). Germany, France and the U.K. are projected to log even lower economic expansions of less than 1%.

Scott Ritter, a popular blogger whose resume includes lengthy stints as a US Marine, a CIA agent and a UN weapons inspector, was stripped of his passport, on orders from the US State Department, while attempting to travel to St. Petersburg, Russia, to attend the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. He then expressed his opinion that the world is a step away from a nuclear catastrophe and that the US strategy in causing such a catastrophe is to inflict maximum damage on the rest of the world — friends, allies, enemies, everybody! — just to remain as the proverbial last man standing.

I know what let's do. Quick, everybody write your Congress people and tell them to back off.

Scott's passport failed to have the code of a convicted citizen. My question is whose fault is that? I bet it was the state dep't mistake, and basically they used it as an excuse to keep Scott from reporting from St. Petersburg.

It wasn’t only Trump who was called a Russian puppet, asset, traitor. It was everyone who went against the democratic narrative.
Hamilton 68, the Integrity Initiative and other deep money organizations popped up out of nowhere and set about ruining people’s lives. Many of us wrote about it back then and we knew that one goal of Russia Russia…was censorship. Boy were we right.

Matt Taibbi writes about one group.

This brought back lots of memories of what we were covering 5-6 years ago. Take another bow, C99.

The project's operators created a Facebook page on which they posed as conservative Alabamians, using it to try to divide Republicans and even to endorse a write-in candidate to draw votes from Mr. Moore. It involved a scheme to link the Moore campaign to thousands of Russian accounts that suddenly began following the Republican candidate on Twitter, a development that
drew national media attention. "We orchestrated an elaborate 'false flag' operation that planted the idea that the Moore campaign was amplified on social media by
a Russian botnet," the report says. Mr. Morgan said in an interview that the Russian botnet ruse "does not ring a bell, adding that others had worked on the effort and had written the report. He said he saw the project as "a small experiment" designed to explore how certain online tactics worked,

How many years has it been since the Twiter files were released and still nothing has been done about it nor anyone held accountable. Republicans are still investigating this crap. But Trump was found guilty of interfering with the election because of how the people who worked for him labeled some checks.

BTW my bet is that Hunter will be found not guilty on gun charges or there will be jury nullification. The trial is being held in Delaware and the First Jill Biden attends the trial. Most people voted for Biden.

of degenerate druggie Hunter Biden's trial.

I doubt that she flew on a regular scheduled airline.

Jill Biden arrived Friday morning at the Delaware courthouse where her step-son, Hunter Biden, is on trial after she skipped one day of the trial for a quick trip to France.

The first lady was in France on Thursday for the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings, joining President Biden for his speech at the official ceremony and to meet with veterans.

She is expected to be back in France on Saturday to join Biden for an official state visit with President Emmanuel Macron and first lady Brigitte Macron.

Between trips across the Atlantic, she was in Wilmington for the start of day 5 of the trial. President Biden has not attended the trial and is not expected to.

Hunter Biden, 54, is facing charges for lying on a federal form when he bought a gun in 2018. He wrote on the form that he was not a drug user, despite being addicted to cocaine at the time.

@humphrey

Her sitting in the court is to influence the jury. The Biden’s are well liked in the area and who wants to embarrass them? Hunter won’t be charged for not registering as a foreign lobbyist unlike Paul Manafort. Nor human trafficking or any of the more serious crimes he committed. But if he’s found not guilty Joe can say, see? No one is above the law.

I’d like to know how Jill is flying back and forth between France and America. Whose dime is paying for this? And of course she needs to be back in France to take care of her senile husband.

Lol…his episode yesterday sure has gotten lost of ink.

Just saw a shitlib saying that she cried when Zelensky hugged a ww2 vet. Good gawd. Zelensky is supporting the same Nazis that the vet fought against. And Russia wasn’t our enemy then.

Just after Hunter bought the gun and lied about not being a drug addict he texted his dead brother’s wife who he was sleeping with saying that he was meeting with his dealer to get more crack.

And now shitlibs are saying that the NRA gives people the right to buy a gun no matter what….you just can’t make this shit up!

but must pass on sandals because will be trimming some cypress bushes later and I don't wont those clippings on my feet or in my shoes.

read last nite something about the MS AI, a snippet from some techie source pointing out what a field day for hackers that will create. What an idea "upgrade to our all new ai driven keylogger/screenlogger" but, don't forget to airgap your rig and bar the room where it lives.

So news continues bad and/or stupid. I do not consent to any of this and never have. That should be a bumper sticker, tag line, postal return address label and stamped in red letters on all US currency. (And don't forget to cross out "in god we trust" on the currency)

Is there a bigger hacker than Bill Gates and his Microsoft spyware? He's been intruding in peoples lives for decades now.

Supposedly the Recall AI can be disabled. Yeah, right. It's not like Windows doesn't have a track record of switching configuration settings back to default when the operating system (OS) is updated.

Having Bill Gates in the OS layer is a great idea, don't ya think? Gives me a tingling sensation down my leg, kind like sciatica.

Man, I can't wait till the human mind is interfaced with computers. How about you?

We were the first generation to grow up with TV, the ultimate initial propaganda tool, now that honor belongs to the internet. And boomers lived through the 60s, we should know better.
