we have 5 eagles and more hawks than you can count flying around lately
just put up the suet block for the woodpeckers, as they started to drill into
the house, the nuthatches like to peck at it also, plus a few sparrows
too early to put out the sunflower feeder, as the squirrels are quite active
right now, they wreck havoc. might be playing the mating game?

This time of year the squirrels are definitely at it, at least out here. I feed safflower, the birds don't love it, but they're ok with it and squirrels dislike it. My feeder is difficult for them to get to, especially when they succeed and find yucky food. An alternative is spicy birdseed. Birds don't mind, they can't really taste it, but squirrels hate it. You can buy it pre-made and saturated with some chili sauce and stuff like that, or just put out regular seed and dust it with cayenne.
We had showers Sunday and rain overnight with bleak but dry Monday. Now no rain for the next 10 days (or more) time to rush out and plant stuff, but tons of other stuff to do as well.

I had a crazy office day, glad it is done and gone.
I can now sit on the porch, admire the flowering trees and bushes, enjoy a pleasant breeze.
I have no view of water, but I am just a short ride on my atv to the back of my property where a creek forms the boundary line. It is a different world back there.
Relax, enjoy life, friend.
