Bob Graham and the Saudi family flights out of Florida after 9/11.

First time posting here, but I've been reading a lot. Impressed by the good writing. I was floridagal at TOS and usually wrote about education reforms that are changing the public nature of our schools into private structures with little oversight.

I have a passion about our former Governor and Senator, Bob Graham. I saw him on 60 Minutes tonight, and he was still into this topic strongly. But his time was so short and the subject so limited that I was disappointed.

He's had a passion about the disastrous Iraq War vote and our cover-ups involving the Saudi families and their secret flights after 9/11.

Two major papers here FINALLY acknowledged these flights and gave details.

From the then St. Petersburg Times (now the Tampa Bay Times) 2004

http://www.sptimes.com/2004/06/09/Tampabay/TIA_now_verifies_flig.shtml

TIA now verifies flight of Saudis

TAMPA - Two days after the Sept. 11 attacks, with most of the nation's air traffic still grounded, a small jet landed at Tampa International Airport, picked up three young Saudi men and left.

The men, one of them thought to be a member of the Saudi royal family, were accompanied by a former FBI agent and a former Tampa police officer on the flight to Lexington, Ky.

The Saudis then took another flight out of the country. The two ex-officers returned to TIA a few hours later on the same plane.

For nearly three years, White House, aviation and law enforcement officials have insisted the flight never took place and have denied published reports and widespread Internet speculation about its purpose.

But now, at the request of the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks, TIA officials have confirmed that the flight did take place and have supplied details.

And from the Tampa Tribune on October 1st 2001

Phantom Flight From Florida

The hastily arranged flight out of Raytheon Airport Services, a private hangar on the outskirts of Tampa International Airport, was anything but ordinary. It lifted off the tarmac at a time when every private plane in the nation was grounded due to safety concerns after the Sept. 11 attacks.

Local and federal authorities will say little about the flight.

``It's not in our logs ... it didn't occur,'' said Chris White, spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration's regional office in Atlanta.

For private investigators Dan Grossi and Manuel Perez, the bodyguards on the Lear, it was a trip they can't forget.

A Special Situation Grossi said Tampa police intelligence detectives called him about 11 a.m. Sept. 13, needing help with a special situation: They had been watching three young Saudi men - at least one a student at the University of Tampa - at their south Tampa apartment, and the trio was scared and wanted to go home.

Bob Graham needs to keep talking, and now and then the media will let him speak...if only a short segment.

I have written more about Bob Graham's words at another new site formed recently.

Bob Graham's had powerful words about 9/11 and the Saudis for years now

In October 2002 Bob Graham begged fellow senators to read the "entire" NIE on WMDs,not just the 25 pages that had been unclassified. There were 90 pages apparently classified that were available for them to read. He told them that invading Iraq would put our country in more danger.

"Friends, I encourage you to read the classified intelligence reports which are much sharper than what is available in declassified form," Sen. Graham reports stating on the floor of the Senate in October 2002.

"We are going to be increasing the threat level against the people of the United States." He warned: "Blood is going to be on your hands"

(BTW I couldn't get the links to format correctly though I used the link icon. So it looks a little messy, but it will get you there.)

It’s just bunches of facts that powerful people have agreed to deny, ignore, or spread disinformation about.

“Cahoots theory” — people are never in cahoots?

“Collusion theory” — people never collude to accomplish something?

Since it's a forbidden topic at TOP.
What is in the 28 pages in the 9/11 report that congress won't release?
I have read that there were more of the Bin Laden family here during that time. What were they doing here and why has our government kept that secret?
And just like another article here regarding Libya and Hillary. Israel had a lot to gain from the leaders of Iraq, Libya and Syria being gone. There is a video of Wesley Clark saying that the US plans on invading 7 countries.
Pakistan, Yemen, Somalia, Iraq, Libya, Syria and one other country has either been invaded or drones have been used.
And we know that Cheney and his cohorts wrote the PNAC.
I will wait to see other people's responses to this subject before I continue.

Which AIPAC/MIC/pharma/bank bought politician are you going to vote for? Don’t be surprised when nothing changes.

Voting is like driving with a toy steering wheel.

But I would think posting about the facts of the flights which are no longer just rumor should be okay. I am confident writing about Bob Graham's thoughts because he has been right on this all along. I think forums get leery when the conspiracy part comes into play.

If even here, we can’t discuss key events that got us to where we are without the well being poisoned in various ways, we may as well pack it in.

...when I live in Florida. My musician friend wrote a song about him in 1983 or so when he made the sale of papers and pipes illegal in Florida. "Now I can't get no papers and I can't get no pipe, Thank You governor Graham..."

Anyway, Bob Graham has since been a singular champion for the truth, if, as a Senator who was privy to unique information regarding the incidents, would be our best chance to ascertain what happened, which is that the Saudis in question were escorted out of the country. It seems pre-planned, which means that there might have been several Americans involved.

I applaud Bob Graham for his courage and fortitude. I support his cause to get to the bottom of all this mess. We all have children, and we all want to get rid of those who would do harm to America, which, if you sweep Saudis from the country whilst 11 of them are attacking it, um, you are one of them.

Bernie is a win-win.

I believe his passion for this topic was a main reason he ran for president. He was in the same mold as Lawton Chiles, a good and kind man and an honest one. He is not very liberal overall, but on the most important things he's usually on the side that is morally right.

I admire him.

but that pretty much was modus operandi of all fla dems, no one was willing to stand up to the cuban exile lobby headquartered in south fla. which is why i never wanted to be associated with the fla dems myself, until someone like alan grayson comes along, and the bern was the actual spark that got me to registered as dem. otherwise i would not have done so. and i'll not likely stay registered in this party when he exits stage left. back to npa.

anyway i have always had this little annoying problem with state-sponsored terrorism by usa against the republic of cuba. south florida was ground zero for almost all of that planning and logistical operations. don't know anything about saudi arabian terrorism but it was not any worse that what was going on against cuba for over fifty years.

see An Oral History of Terrorism Against Cuba by Keith Bolender, Pluto Press, 2010. Over 800 acts of aggression have been officially documented, killing 3,478 and injuring 2,099 (although actual figures are likely far higher). In order to assess the true impact of terrorism, we must also count the $400 million lost to tobacco disease, the 300,000 persons affected by dengue fever...

Keeping copious notes of his daily activities?

Matters not one iota, bit, nit, or tid. Finally, the Cone of Silence about 9/11 is beginning to fracture.

Methinks I have this burning sensation. (No, not from urination) More like a new essay coming on. (Grumble mumble humble grumble mumble)

One clear point. The Saudis are NOT our friends. Perhaps two exceptions may be FOB and FOH, especially with the billions in high tech weaponry she managed to have sold to them, while personally profiting from the sales.

He got teased for it, but he just kept on. His notes will be an important part of history.
