So Prigozhin was bait all along

In my previous Essay here, I posited that the whole Russian Mutiny was simply a Russian Psyop aimed at unearthing the Ukranian underground network waiting to strike at government facilities in Moscow.

I had wondered if Prigozhin was merely bait so the Russians could root out the sleeper cells waiting to strike should Russian forces revolt. Staging a phoney mutiny would activate electronic activity. Per Naked Capitalism:

However, recall also the West has been talking ad nauseam about an uprising versus Putin. So whether by action or design, Prigozhin’s move will serve as a trigger for Ukraine sleeper cells in Russia to swing into action. And again, Rybar suggested the Russian security forces had been put on alert for that type of operation BEFORE the Prigozhin gambit:

At 2am June 22nd...information was received about the preparation of an armed attack on government facilities.

It goes on to state that FSB officers captured two GUR agents and extracted the identities of the entire chain of underground cells in the Moscow region. They began busily rounding up those people.

It will be interesting to see if charges against Prigozhin are dropped. That would indicate he was part of a Russian psyop to uncover Ukranian cells hiding near Moscow. If they go ahead and execute him, it would mean he only turned back when he realized the planned coup had already failed.

Once Prigozhin had baited the Ukranians into thinking he was their man and the coup was underway, they activated their sleeper cells, which were summarily swept up by the Russians.
Prigozhin, possibly $6.2 billion dollars richer, then returns his troops to their bases and all charges against him are dropped.

Criminal charges against Wagner boss Yevgeny Prigozhin will be dropped and he will be sent to neighboring Belarus, according to Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov.

"You will ask me what will happen to Prigozhin personally?" Peskov said in a conference call with reporters Saturday. "The criminal case will be dropped against him. He himself will go to Belarus."

Those who do what Prigozhin did don't get off the hook that easily. The Russians conned 5 Eyes and the Ukranians. Two Ukranian ringleaders were captured and they gave up the entire chain of cells. The members were then swept up during the "heightened security" in Moscow.

Put another way, the stated goal of 5 Eyes was regime change. The Russians just took away their win condition.

Putin is smart enough to use the situation, but was all this planned?

@gjohnsit the day before the mutiny even occurred. So either that was fantastically coincidental, or yes, it was all planned.

@Battle of Blair Mountain It screamed bait to me, although I couldn't tell if Prig was the bait, or Putin baited him.
Given the mercenaries are back fighting under contract, all charges against Prig are dropped, Prig is sent to Belarus, where his mansion awaits him, fully stocked with good vodka, and a bunch of Ukie sleeper cells were swept and got gone, I gotta say this was planned. Putin allowed Prig to live the good life instead of punishing him for his prior bitching and moaning.
To me, it solidifies Putin's appearance of being mart and in control.
Prig out, the fight continues.

History is full of examples. The trickery before D-Day with a phoney army, for instance.

Now the Russians have such a story to tell.

They definitely did catch several Ukrainian spies in and around Moscow...some with nuclear material...
but the story is buried in the west.

Another hypothesis I heard is that those spies were to create ops in and around Moscow as Wagner approached...but the the gig was over. I think it was Scott who thought that might be the case.

This is one of the most interesting points.

Prigozhin's Siege Ends - Postmortem Analysis

The most important thing you’ll first note is the following:

Prigozhin’s entire stated original justification for marching on and seizing Rostov was that “his camp was attacked” by Russian missile, artillery, and helicopter strikes. Remember?

Now, if you’ll note, he changed his tune and the stated reason for the march was that Wagner was to be completely disbanded by the Russian MOD on June 23. Recall my analysis from yesterday which gave this very reason where I said that Wagner had refused to sign the contract and was likely under ultimatum pressure from the MOD.

But, notice there’s no longer any mention of the “attack” which looked highly staged and fake as being the justification. So—is this a smoking gun that clearly proves that Prigozhin’s “attack” video from yesterday was an entirely staged falseflag?

If that’s the case, then clearly this has major ramifications for Prigozhin’s credibility from this point forward, wouldn’t you say?

Prigozhin says it's over:

"They were going to dismantle PMC Wagner. We came out on 23 June to the March of Justice. In a day, we walked to nearly 200km away from Moscow. In this time, we did not spill a single drop of blood of our fighters. Now, the moment has come when blood may spill. That’s why, understanding the responsibility for spilling Russian blood on one of the sides, we are turning back our convoys and going back to field camps according to the plan."

Anyway, he says that no blood was spilled, at least on the Wagner side in his speech above—yesterday he claimed that there were “many casualties” and the Russian strikes massacred his troops. But today, it was Prigozhin who appeared to have carried out a massacre as he destroyed a confirmed 7 total Russian aircraft with the initial reports stating that all pilots died:

A426C9CB-D959-4453-83FA-3723BA14B13D.jpeg

So, Wagner and Prigozhin are potentially responsible for something like 20-30 Russian pilot/crewmen deaths. Here were some of the battles.

I’m still working my way through this and in case you missed what he wrote yesterday about this it’s still worth a read. Check out the polls he posted at the bottom of the article. Hopefully he will do another one now that this weird thing happened.

and I wouldn't think it did much for morale of the Russians still in the war.

Prigozhin's video where he talks of generals and oligarchs ripping off the riches of the Donbas for 8 years and then invading for exactly no reason at all was especially charming.

Also the cheering and support Wagner got as they were leaving Rostov, Prigozhin in a car with open windows shaking hands with the crowd. I mean even though they shoot and torture with impunity people seem ready for anyone but Putin, and Prigozhin isn't afraid of the people. Can't picture Putin wading through that crowd.

I'd like the war to end ASAP but Prigozhin with nukes is scary.

I'd think Putin will need to put more troops within his country now just in case another one of these happens. Next time it might be Ukrainians.

@QMS No, actually Prigo is a thug who leads a murderous mercenary army, raping and murdering on two continents. Anything that causes problems for Russia so they go home sooner and less people die, I'm all for it. Russia lost the war a long time ago, it's just taking them a long time to lose all the way back to their own country.

@ban nock heard that before, that Russia lost the war long ago.
I am hearing and reading just the opposite.
I guess I would say that if Zelensky participated in peace negotiations, the killing would stop. Azov threatened to hang him if he did.
Nazis have been known to hang people who do not follow orders.

@on the cusp There's no reason for peace negotiations while Russia occupies Ukraine. They need to leave before discussions of reparations and arrests for war crimes can begin.

Zelensky ran on ending the slaughter of the Ukrainians there just like we’ve been telling you.

On 21 April 2019, Ukraine held the second and the final round of its presidential elections. The new President, Volodymyr Zelensky, has vowed to focus on achieving a ceasefire in an armed conflict in the East (which has claimed more than 13,000 lives) and moderating hard-line policies aimed at promoting the Ukrainian language. As a result, he was repeatedly called a Kremlin’s puppet and accused of being ‘sympathetic’ towards Russia.

Link

People love to call Putin a dictator, but at least he allows his people to actually vote for president unlike Zelensky.

Wowzer that’s some democracy the Ukraine troops are fighting to protect.

It’s too bad that you won’t read any of the links posted that goes against your narrative, but then how else could you keep coming here with your same false talking points?

crowd in the annual Patriot's Day parades? And with no bodyguards. It seems that he doesn’t fear for his life. And Prigozhin had no plans to overthrow Putin. Do you just make things up in your head or did your excellent sources tell you that?

Many of the Russian troops volunteered to join the military because they know that their country is being threatened and they want to help protect it. Close to 100,000 people joined in 2 separate call ups.

@snoopydawg the truth requires some actual effort to find.
Perhaps some folks just don't have the time to put in the effort?
Maybe their sock drawers need to be re-organized? I know that keeps me from voting in primaries occasionally.
