Now we know what was next

So after Biden gave Ukraine those F-16's after Zelensky gave a pinky-swear that he wouldn't use them for bombing Russia, I asked what's next? Now we know. I's not like the Ukrainian military isn't being run out of the Pentagon.

Armed insurgents who crossed the border from Ukraine to launch attacks in Russia's Belgorod region have been defeated, Moscow says.
Villages in the border region were evacuated after coming under sustained shellfire.
Russia says that 70 of the attackers have been killed and insists the fighters are Ukrainian.

It;s a good thing we got that pinky-swear from Ukraine.

The two groups of anti-Putin Russian nationals, who are fighting in Ukraine as part of Kyiv’s defense forces, the Freedom for Russia Legion and Russian Volunteer Corps, claimed responsibility for the attack in Russian’s southwestern region of Belgorod, which borders north-eastern Ukraine.

“Residential and administrative buildings and civilian infrastructure were subjected to mortar and artillery fire. As a result of these criminal actions, several civilians were wounded,” Russia’s Investigative Committee said on Telegram as it announced an investigation into the attack.
...CNN’s Sam Kiley interviewed that same fighter in December, while the group was fighting for Ukraine against Russian attacks on the frontline city of Bakhmut.

It's not like no one could have predicted this. After all, we tried to assassinate Putin before.
I have to wonder about all of those U.S. special forces on the ground in Ukraine. What happens when one of them gets killed while invading Russia?

alternates between whether the Ashton Carter gang, that wants to destroy the United States, Russia, China, and the rest of the paid workforce in the world and replace it with slave labor, or the Jake Sullivan gang, that wants to produce a 20-year quagmire of military industrial wealth, will blunder us into nuclear annihilation.

The Ashton Carter gang declares our building of all new nukes, subs, and delivery systems is in order to destroy the Russian population, KNOWING that we, the United States, will be eliminated in the process. No problem. Worth it.

The Jake Sullivan gang thinks it can provoke Russia into using nuclear weapons so that we can use nuclear weapons in response, thereby showing their usefulness, and so that the militarization of the world can be ramped up and enforced for generations.

Both gangs fear the paid, educated, healthy, alert and knowlegeable workforce because, if Russia and China raise the standard of living of their workforces, there is no need for the military industrial complex. There is peace, there is trade, there is health and education. There is even law enforcement, and that is what these gangs fear most -- justice.

Pizza Gate? FEMA camps?

If Ukraine sent hundreds of tanks into Russia it certainly wouldn't be unfair, I mean Russia did start this war, and invaded Ukraine. As it is Ukraine supplied some Russian group, probably we supplied intelligence.

That tiny bunch of Russians did take more territory than Russia has taken in the past 9 months.

A counter attack will come. They are simply making people nervous so when they do attack, Ivan won't know for sure if this is simply another head fake.

Pizza Gate? FEMA camps?

So does this mean that you don't follow the news?

probably we supplied intelligence.

I'll take that as a "yes'.

Let's put that aside for a moment.
What I m talking about is the U.S.

It's not like we are some benign actor here. Ukraine's war is being run by the Pentagon. Their economy is being propped up by Washington. This is a proxy war in every sense.
So if Putin get's killed there is a REAL tangible, chance that Russia will respond by nuking some NATO country/asset.

BTW, if you say "so what. We'll win" I will totally lose respect for you.

@gjohnsit there wasn't an attempt on Putin. It was a very obvious hoax.

The US is happy to see Russia destroy it's armed forces, but the US and Ukraine have different motivations. Ukraine is in the war to liberate their country, and are happy for our assistance, and the assistance of the rest of NATO. Poland especially being the probably next target is contributing more of their GNP than our very modest amount.

Russia it turns out isn't going to nuke anyone. It's been obvious for about a year how this war would play out.

Modest? You funny!

"A trillion here, a trillion there, and pretty soon you're talking real money..."

As I said before: The good St. Ronald Reagan and his conservative acolytes boasted that they’d “bankrupted the Soviet Union” via the threat of the Star Wars program, arming the Afghans, and whatever else they felt like doing, 24/7, for fuckin’ years. Years.

Read you five by five, Bonzo!

Well, Russia learned well. They are going to bankrupt us in precisely the same way.

They have learned exceedingly well, just as they are learning all of the details of all the weapons systems we’ve so generously given to the Poor Beleaguered Ukrainians, or whatever. Operational Security is one hell of an oxymoron, at least if your idea of it is to simply hand your stuff over directly to The Enemy (whoever they are this week, anyway…).

Not a fan.

Tit, meet tat. Somewhere Sun Tzu is smiling, in that inscrutable warlord way…

@ban nock There was no drone attack on the Kremlin?
You know even the Pentagon doesn't claim that.

Also, Ukraine has destroyed the Russian army, but you can't even imagine a single scenario where Russia would use a nuke? Really?
You know you might want to keep an eye on the amount of propaganda you intake. It could get us all killed.

All this death and destruction could have been avoided.

That tiny bunch of Russians did take more territory than Russia has taken in the past 9 months.

Lol…. Btw the people who did the deed have been killed or arrested. So much for holding the territory.

Regardless of the path in life I chose, I realize it's always forward, never straight.

@Pricknick @Pricknick what we would hear on the MSM and since we don't watch it or listen to it, it is useful to know what they say.
He serves a purpose.
I look forward to the promotion that all "Ivans", men, women, and children, are to be killed for the big cheer of victory!
