Album of the Week - 2-11-23

Afternoon folks!

This week I've uploaded a bunch of quality stuff. There's an album of harmonica blues from Carey Bell and a compilation of a bunch of Johnny Shines and Robert Lockwood's early singles on the JOB label. In the blues rock category, there's an early not-too-common album of live recordings from Roy Buchanan and albums from Rory Gallagher and Blue Cheer. There's some 70's west-coast bluegrass/rock from Muleskinner a band with Clarence White (guitarist from the Byrds and earlier the bluegrass band The Kentucky Colonels), David Grisman (mandolin player who played on some Grateful Dead material and projects with Jerry Garcia), Peter Rowan (bluegrass singer and guitarist from Bill Monroe's Bluegrass Boys through Seatrain to Old And In The Way and great solo stuff), Richard Greene (fiddler extraordinaire) and Bill Keith (accomplished, widely recorded Banjo player). Finishing off is a Richard & Linda Thompson album.

Enjoy!

Here 'tis:

Carey Bell - Carey Bell's Blues Harp

Johnny Shines & Robert Lockwood - Dust My Broom

Roy Buchanan - Buch And The Snakestretchers - One Of Three

Rory Gallagher - Sinner.... And Saint

Blue Cheer - Blue Cheer

Muleskinner - Muleskinner

Richard & Linda Thompson - Pour Down Like Silver

Muleskinner has quite the pedigree. Hadn't heard that before. Is there more of their album on your channel? Thanks Joe.

Hey Joe! Great stuff man! Awesome Roy and Rory! Two of the best. That Gallagher was I think a compilation of cuts off those first two 1971 post-Taste solo releases. Thanks for the soundscape!
