I learned some of the EU's
requirements for entry while on a tour of Croatia and nearby countries.
Seems your country was strictly limited on how many acres of olives and/or grapes were planted, so as not to knock France and Italy from the monopoly perch for those two items of produce. I figure lumber was also restricted. I seem to recall an entry country had to agree to how many manufacturing plants they could build. Can't present any competition to, say, Mercedes Benz.
So, getting into the EU means handing over your business and agriculture sectors to the NGO.
