September is different from all other months. It is more magical. I feel the strange chemical change in the earth which produces mushrooms is the cause, too, of the extra 'life' in the air - a resilience, a sparkle. -- Katherine Mansfield

One can only guess the amount of magic mushrooms a sane person would have to consume to believe that a frisbee constituted a genuine threat to roughly 3,000 police officers.
-- Mark Thomas

They hold their great balls in the open air, in what is called a fairy-ring. For weeks afterward you can see the ring on the grass. It is not there when they begin, but they make it by waltzing round and round. Sometimes you will find mushrooms inside the ring, and these are fairy chairs that the servants have forgotten to clear away. The chairs and the rings are the only tell-tale marks these little people leave behind them, and they would remove even these were they not so fond of dancing that they toe it till the very moment of the opening of the gates. -- James M. Barrie

Get Ready for Pharmaceutical-Grade Magic Mushroom Pills

As magic mushrooms make the shift from recreational drug to mental health treatment, patients won’t be eating caps and stems, but a synthetic product made in a lab—one that can be patented and profited from.

Compass Pathways is a London-based company that received Breakthrough Therapy designation from the FDA for its synthetic psilocybin therapy for treatment-resistant depression, meaning that its preliminary clinical evidence was so promising, the FDA will fast-track its review process.

No wonder psychedelics are threatening to an authoritarian religious hierarchy. You don’t need faith to benefit from a psychedelic experience, let alone a priest or even a shaman to interpret it. What you need is courage—courage to drink the brew, eat the mushroom, or whatever it is, and then to pay attention, and make of it what you will. Suddenly, the tools for direct contact with the transcendent other (whether you call it God or something else) is taken from the hands of an anointed elite and given to the individual seeker. -- Dennis McKenna

Cannabis legalization in US projected to cost big pharma billions

New research from a team of economists has estimated the legalization of medical and recreational cannabis over the past 25 years has cost pharmaceutical companies billions of dollars in lost sales. And, if the US were to legalize cannabis across the whole country, pharma stocks could rapidly drop by over 10 percent.

“The implied sales decrease from recreational legalization is about 129% greater than that of medical legalization,” the researchers noted in the study. “Comparing effects on generic and brand drugmakers, we find the effect on brand drugmakers is 224% larger than the effect on generic drug maker sales.”

that until the scene is set for the profiteers to profit from legalisation, they'll still be looking for 'guests' to fill up the cells. And until the pharmaceutical industries can get their hands on the potential, we'll still be offered only chemical variations.

Paul Stamets – Psilocybin Mushroom Medicines: A Paradigm Shift in Global Consciousness

Psilocybin mushrooms have been used for millennia by several cultures from Europe to Mesoamerica. More than 116 species have been identified thus far in the genus Psilocybe alone. New scientific evidence is pointing to the fact that, not only can they be psycho-spiritually transformative, but they are capable of stimulating neurogenesis, i.e. the growth of nervous system tissue.

These recent discoveries show psilocybin’s potential for helping address such conditions as depression and anxiety, but perhaps as well to help prevent dementia, Alzheimer’s and other neuropathies. In fact, they may increase intelligence. But these exciting new findings have generated a rush of investors seeking to corner medicalized psilocybin, which raises the question: Should psilocybin mushrooms come to market as People’s Medicine or Profit Medicine?

Paul Stamets, one of the world’s leading authors, inventors, educators and entrepreneurs in the field of mycology, and very possibly the planet’s foremost expert on psilocybin mushrooms, shares his thoughts on the latest research and the rapidly evolving landscape of psychedelic medicine.

My beef is how the pharma fat cats can decide what are scheduled drugs and have their
profits enshrined into legislation. I mean cannabis and 'roons just grow out of the ground.

It would cut into big pharma's profits if it was made legal. I saw a headline saying that they would lose billions if it was. And of course it would cut into big alcohol profits too. That’s what gets me. Alcohol in large quantities does damage to the body and it destroys families and it stays legal while weed does what?

Seems the stills are still a 'protected' business in some locales. Underground mind
medicine crafters have existed here in the US forever. Commercial pot in CA and CO haven't
escaped the taxing and regulation very well so far, but independents still operate at a
small level. Thinking the same will happen with medicinal mushroom enterprises. It is the
threat of the feds keeping penalties in the felony range that place individuals at a risk.

@Lookout the mushroom photo at the top of piece that QMS kindly supplied:

Pictured mushroom: Golden Caps (Psilocybe Cubensis)

Is also, if I'm not mistaken, also called "golden teacher", (for its abundance of enlightening qualities I presume).

Cubensis has several subspecies(?) that have kind of pronounced morphological differences. A good friend is currently growing both "golden teacher" and "penis-envy" strains (you might guess, and be right, that the latter are mushrooms whose caps resemble a rather handsome glans penis).

So much good research will be done really soon (or finally published I imagine in many cases) now that mushrooms have been decriminalized (in a few states anyway). Dosing, timing, microdosing...real differences, if any, between e.g. golden teacher and other cubensis strains. Optimizing. If the planet isn't cooked soon, I think this will really help everyone.

Get Ready for Pharmaceutical-Grade Magic Mushroom Pills

The following is most productively performed as a group endeavor

Take the smaller diameter 1/2 of a 000 gel cap in the left hand and dip fill it from a bowl of powdered dried psilocybe mexicana. With the right hand similarly fill the larger half of such a cap 2/3 to 3/4 full. carefully cover the left hand cap with the right hand one and tap on table to settle. Place in product receptacle. Repeat process. After a bit you will find yourself having trouble manipulating the caps due to an accumulation of powdered psilocybe mexicana on the linger tips. Lick it off and continue. You will know when you are done.

In 1911, after dissolution of the Standard Oil empire, eight companies retained “Standard Oil” in their names, but by the late 20th century the name had almost passed into history. In 1931 Standard Oil Company of New York merged with Vacuum Oil Company (another trust company) to form Socony-Vacuum, which in 1966 became Mobil Oil Corporation. Standard Oil (Indiana) absorbed Standard Oil of Nebraska in 1939 and Standard Oil of Kansas in 1948 and was renamed Amoco Corporation in 1985. Standard Oil of California acquired Standard Oil of Kentucky in 1961 and was renamed Chevron Corporation in 1984. Standard Oil Company (New Jersey) changed its name to Exxon Corporation in 1972. British Petroleum Company PLC completed the purchase of Standard Oil Company (Ohio) in 1987, and in 1998 British Petroleum (renamed BP) merged with Amoco. Exxon and Mobil merged in 1999, and Chevron merged with Texaco in 2001.

and in 2019 ..

After more than a century, the Justice Department is dropping its effort to break up Standard Oil. A federal court was asked Tuesday to toss out the decree that required John D. Rockefeller to give up control of 37 subsidiaries that helped his company monopolize the oil industry, the Wall Street Journal reports

@on the cusp Note that because its a given that airliners are periodically damaged by hard landings ( mind you, no injuries reported, just damage to aircraft ) How much more so, should the stress caused by slamming into a skyscraper wall, damage an airliner. therefore the wing-shaped-gash idea is an insult to human intelligence.

@Silvers

As with most disastrous issues, there are members who lean towards an 'inside job'
others believe the official explanation, and a few are somewhere in-between.

I have been following the Lawyers Committee for 911 Inquiry for many years.
https://www.lawyerscommitteefor9-11inquiry.org/about2/

They have been trying to force a grand jury to open an inquiry into the
criminal investigation of the destruction of the twin towers. There have never
been any criminal charges nor trials involving this episode.

The fact that the justice system refuses to allow any legal proceedings suggests
there exists a cover-up. Inquiring minds would like to see our courts step up and
do their jobs.

What are your thoughts? Thanks for posting Silvers.

and got very lucky with their choices. Silverstein who owned the towers doubled his insurance on them too. My view is that it was either allowed to happen or people from the US were involved in the attacks. Another huge red flag was Cheney telling the Air Force to stand down. But the cherry on top was the passport that was found on the wreckage in pretty good shape. How about the dancing Israelis who were video taping the event and of course we can’t forget the English broadcaster who said that building 7 collapsed 20 minutes before it did. And why was all the video surrounding the pentagon confiscated right after the missile plane hit it?

@snoopydawg that the company contracted to go through the towers to sniff for bombs did not do a walk-through sniff on 911. The company was owned by George Bush' brother.
I will never forget the guy I met in NYC who was a retired firefighter. He spoke about being ordered to set up for triage, along with other first responders, before the planes were headed for the towers.

on about 20 floors not long before the event too. But for me the huge red flag was that the hijacked planes were allowed to fly over the most important parts of the country for over an hour and not one jet was sent to look into them. Remember when Paine Stewart's smaller plane became unresponsive and 2 jets were sent to investigate? In what world would 4 passenger jets be allowed to fly over the eastern part of the country without any concern?
Building 7 is the giveaway in my book because just before it collapsed in its own footprint someone gave the order to pull it. That would mean that explosive devices were already in place to ‘pull' it.
15 of the men blamed on the attacks were Saudis and the Bin Laden family was allowed to fly out of the country when all other planes were grounded. And why was Bandaranaike Bush Bin Laden seen at the WH with Bush and Cheney and they were all smiles and giggles the day after? What was there to laugh about?

@QMS @QMS May I suggest that people start by asking
WHY did the worlds greatest military power FAIL to defend even its own HQ?
additionally, airliner crashes are known to be chaotic & messy
however in the case of 4 airliner crashes, the plane was alleged to have penetrated a wall ( or soil ) such as to go nose to tail and make the plane virtually disappear from sight.
WHY?

Perhaps all of the media cameras were trained to focus on a couple images during the hits.
In this day of laser projected images, could a picture of a plane flying into buildings have been
a projected image timed to for the projected impact, then set off a series of charges to
duplicate the profile of the plane? If the planes disintegrated upon impact, there would be
evidence. A few passports in the debris (oddly legible after a flaming crash) seemed to give
credence to their story.

They knew who were on those flights. Their passports could easily be replicated and planted
as evidence, after the deed was done.

This does not comport with the question of where the original aircrafts ended up. But if the
nations' military were told to stand down, the only trace for that would be ground radar
between Boston and NY. Are those records available?

Thinking like a sleuth. Createing scenarios to support a theory.

@QMS @QMS the major red-flag for me is the fact that any airliner crashing into a skyscraper wall as was reported by the media, would not have penetrated completely, just not happening,
we can have a discussion on the subject for anyone who doesn't see it, but the wing-shaped gash bit is a non-starter, could not possibly have happened.
