Everyone, remember that on Friday gjohnsit reported a story about how about 30% of the weapons sent to Ukraine are actually used in Ukraine. (The rest of it is sold on the black market.) Well, meanwhile CBS altered the story that was the basis for the 30% figure, deleting the video and adding:

This article has been updated to reflect changes since the CBS Reports documentary "Arming Ukraine" was filmed, and the documentary is also being updated. Jonas Ohman says the delivery has significantly improved since filming with CBS in late April.

And that's all you need to know, folks. "Significantly improved" could mean anything, as Krystal and Saagar point out:

Maybe at some point we actually get to hear or read that they don't really care, that what matters (as with Afghanistan) is that the wars are supposed to drag on forever to keep those military-corporate profits up. I keep thinking of Greg Grandin's book Kissinger's Shadow, in which it is revealed how Henry "let's have wars and fascism just 'coz" Kissinger became "normal" in policy circles.

This stuff, btw, ought to be mentioned in every antwar protest.

Let's be clear. The only way places like, I dunno, Ukraine and Russia for starters, are going to be free from the kleptocrats, is if the people who are going to overthrow the kleptocrats (who rule Ukraine and Russia for starters) do not die in a war.
