Really, I feel like the cavalry, or a pal having my e-friends' backs at that place. Because I now spend absolute minimal time there and only for requests like these.
I've long associated Hillary Clinton with hypocrisy (along with too many "family values" Republicans later found to have had extramarital flings of all sorts). It's only recently that I've come to associate dkos--ownership, some prominent writers, and some of the more vocal Clinton camp followers--with raging hypocrisy, the kind that comes from cynicism, lack of self-awareness, or cognitive dissonance. [or paychecks]

Then, come inauguration day, he returned to Kos, and proceeded to kick the living shit out of Obama. It was always about his fangirl crush on Ms. Clinton, and resentment that Obama had "stolen" "her" presidency.
That his debasement, it has always been without limit, that is reflected in the fact that in the very early days of the 2008 presidential contest, he initially supported the banksters' best friend, Chris Dodd. Because that's who his guru, Armando, favored.

Although I really HAD lurked at TOP for years (unlike the
obvious Clintonista zombies who make that claim to obsequious welcome and applause) I only began participating after Obama's inauguration. In my lurking days, I only read MB and a few other Front Page writers; I literally didn't even know there was a right side of the page or member-generated content at all. When I became active, Turkana was already established as a prominent Obama critic with a cogent and consistently progressive POV. I knew nothing of his earlier history (I thought he was a woman in fact,) so his Clinton cheerleading felt like a betrayal, maybe initiated by his promotion to Featured Writer. . It's clear now that, as you say, the explanation is simpler: All he's done is drop the progressive mask.

If you make guns that blow up when people shoot them, or cars that catch fire at random moments, or sell potions that make people ill without caveats about how that might come about, you are committing fraud.
If you are manufacturing properly working guns and selling them in a community that has legalized doing so, it might be argued by some that you could find a better way to earn a living, but you are not committing fraud, you are simply working allowably within the legal parameters of the community.
Thus, suing gun manufacturers for taking us up on allowing them to manufacture guns in order to sell them to us would be frivolous and a waste of the courts' time. To argue that guns are more dangerous than they are represented as being just won't work. Guns are for killing. Everybody knows that.

Lawyers should be for navigating the legal system. Should we have a legal system that is so complicated that one must hire help to navigate it? is another question.
