@QMS
So I wasn't the only one seeing a phallic symbol in the blue flower. I was thinking Medusa for the first photo, but squid works too. The first yellow flower is a Hibiscus and the second one is an Iris.
the first one looks like a squid
the second like an almost erectile blue
and the yellow blossom is beautiful
love the Brubeck. Used to see him play in
Ann Arbor on occasion half a century ago.
An amazingly talented musician.

The ideal subject of totalitarian rule is not the convinced Nazi or the dedicated communist, but people for whom the distinction between fact and fiction, true and false, no longer exists.

I follow him so I get to see lots of his photos and he usually takes them of ospreys catching fish. I have to look at them quickly because I always feel bad for the fish. I think he is in Florida.
But here’s why Sam shouldn’t see the stuffed animals. She has enough.
She tuckered herself out. I put her toys in her bed so I can vacuum and 5 minutes later she has flipped the bed and thrown it across the room as well as her toys.
Here is her 1st stuffed animal.
Gosh look at how tiny she was. And happy. She has always been a happy dawg. People remark on that all the time.
Thank you, snoopy. Is he the same videographer of the spoonbill? I'll check myself when I have more time.

She might have been looking for something under the desk when she suddenly crashed and went to sleep.
Petsmart had great prices for the larger toys and they had squeakies in them that stopped squeaking and it’s why she has so many. Her favorite one is the whale I posted in the EBs and it’s squeaky is in the tail and still works. Can’t tell you how many times I get woken up in the night because she went and got it and brought it to bed and started squeaking it.
Is Sam hiding or trying to collect another toy hidden under the drawers? Never enough toys to play and have fun with, eh.

@Pricknick
be very aware, especially if you are a bee... great photo, beautiful! I think crab spider did get officially listed as venomous. However getting bit seems to be a challenge. There is a Giant Crab Spider which is 3 INCHES across! It mostly lives terrestrially, not on flowers. I have only ever seen one. And took it outside releasing it, without obtaining a photo! Thanks for the pic Pricknick!

Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.

Beautiful photos SP! I think the blue inflorescence or raceme, is maybe a Ceanothus flower. Which is a native chapparal shrub that blooms, oh, right about now.
GREAT pix!

They are moth larvae. How do they flourish without air? Did I release them in time to grow or would they have continued to survive in a closed environment longer? It's all a mystery to me.
Thank you for your beautiful work and for hosting. Palm seed clusters are always a treat.
I found this when I opened a glass container of forgotten sesame seeds …
I am totally swamped preparing for a brief road trip tomorrow morning, which in my usual way I have procrastinated organising.

Hi, Snoopy
I promise I won't show Sam the stuffed animals.

Got nothing plantwise, but here's Fred doing his best Oliver Twist moment.
Gëzuar!!
from a reasonably stable genius.
Fred wants more.
Does that mean your cat is a chow hound?
Always love seeing Fred.

What an engaging subject Fred is,
and I'm sure an equalling engaging companion in the ways that a cat can be.
I trust the snow has melted by now, and you are enjoying more light and freshness.

Hi, Janis
Interesting find. I wonder how they got into the sesame seeds?
Have fun on your road trip.
