A study published February 21, 2022, in Frontiers in Virology claims to have discovered that a sequence of the virus’ spike protein is a 100% match to a modified messenger RNA (mmRNA) sequence patented by Moderna in 2016
The genetic sequence patented by Moderna is part of a human DNA repair gene called MSH3. This patented sequence is found in SARS-CoV-2’s furin cleavage site in the spike protein — the part that gives the virus such easy access into human cells
According to Moderna’s patent application, the gene sequence was modified “for the production of oncology-related proteins and peptides,” ostensibly for use in cancer research
According to the researchers, the chance that SARS-CoV-2 would have randomly acquired this furin cleavage site through natural evolution is 1 in 3 trillion
In a February 24, 2022, interview, Moderna CEO Stéphane Bancel proposed the COVID-19 pandemic may have been the result of a lab leak

that have a furin cleavage site on their envelope - HIV, influenza, dengue fever, ebola and marburg virus as well as the spike protein of SARS-CoV-2 for them to become fully functional and enter a cell. The original SARS-CoV did not have this site which made it less infectious. The closest genetic backbone to SARS-CoV-2 is a bat virus which does not have this cleavage site. Researchers have thus far found no intermediate hosts in the wild.
But we now have a patent issued for the very genetic sequence of this cleavage site.

the article in virology says that a the furin cleavage sequence is identical to a "reverse match" to the patented sequence, meaning it is a mirror or backwards copy.
Also, the probability info is of limited relevance without computations of the same probabilities for the full furin cleavage sites of all of the other viruses that have them.
The article calls for further study, and I agree,, it is definitely weird, but clarity requires that I point out that the match is reversed:
A BLAST search for the 12-nucleotide insertion led us to a 100% reverse match in a proprietary sequence (SEQ ID11652, nt 2751-2733) found in the US patent 9,587,003 filed on Feb. 4, 2016 (10) (Figure 1). Examination of SEQ ID11652 revealed that the match extends beyond the 12-nucleotide insertion to a 19-nucleotide sequence: 5′-CTACGTGCCCGCCGAGGAG-3′ (nt 2733-2751 of SEQ ID11652), such that the resulting mRNA would have 3′- GAUGCACGGGCGGCUCCUC-5′, or equivalently 5′- CU CCU CGG CGG GCA CGU AG-3′ (nucleotides 23547-23565 in the SARS-CoV-2 genome, in which the four bold codons yield PRRA, amino acids 681–684 of its spike protein). This is very rare in the NCBI BLAST database.
...
The correlation between this SARS-CoV-2 sequence and the reverse complement of a proprietary mRNA sequence is of uncertain origin. Conventional biostatistical analysis indicates that the probability of this sequence randomly being present in a 30,000-nucleotide viral genome is 3.21 ×10−11 (Figure 2).
[The presence of any specific 19 nucleotide sequence in any specific 30,000 nucleotide genome is likely to be blindingly remote simply because of the numbers involved.]
Not saying the findings aren't extremely supportive of lab leak or similar hypotheses, merely that the summary in the mercola article misrepresents the actual findings, it is not a 100% match, and that the relevance of the probability date without some comparables is questionable.

There are over 70 peer reviewed studies now that shows that it is effective if given early in the process. The most recent study that said it doesn’t work was because they waited too long to give it. But the anti ivermectin folks jumped all over it and told us that we have been wrong all along. But they fled instead of debating the many studies. Strange. I would think people would be happy to find something that could keep them above ground, but sadly they aren’t.
As for asking you it’s probably because of what you wrote.

@snoopydawg
written by the science staff because all NYT articles apparently should be shunned completely now.
Yet, nothing is said when you or others post videos from "Bitchute". Have you really investigated Bitchute? I have. Bitchute was analyzed for its content and a report was written and posted on a Cornell University sponsored website. Here...https://arxiv.org/abs/2004.01984. The ADL did an analysis of the content of Bitchute and wrote this....https://www.adl.org/blog/bitchute-a-hotbed-of-hate. And here is the Wikipedia written history of the owner of this site, etc. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BitChute There is at least enough of this that if read, should give someone pause about using it as a source.
For months I have watched people, who maybe in all good faith, made their arguments for Ivermectin and a whole host of other things based on sites like these. And almost every time, I followed up, I found these types of sites to be either up front or behind the scenes purveyors of propaganda and false information. I tried to being this up and warn people here about them, but the push back was so strong it was a useless waste of my time. Plus, any negative reviews of Ivermectin that I tried to share were immediately dismissed, and sometimes with not so hidden hostility.
In fact, I just recently saw an article written by a doctor on staff in a hospital who observed many people who took Ivermectin or hydroxychloroquine at home landing in the hospital ER with more advanced cases of Covid because they waited too long to get help.
I take many supplements to avoid pharmaceuticals, and I have done so for years. That has trained me to be very thorough in making healthy choices. I put Ivermectin on my research list and found far more negatives than positives about it, and way too many possible side effects. You keep saying that I am just stubbornly ignoring some kind of truth about Ivermectin instead of "keeping an open mind". An open mind to you is one who just accepts your take on things, including all the conspiracy stuff.
We can go around and around on this. I don't care what you post on Ivermectin or anything else or if you take the stuff. What I used to care about here and on other sites is being able to post what I have found without being subjected to bombardment of long badly sourced "information" posts and talked about in comment threads as if I'm not in the room.
I used to really enjoy your political commentary and actually agreed with much of what you wrote.

Scientists are concerned that conspiracy theories may die out if they keep coming true at the current alarming rate.
If you want to see how ivermectin was killed
Watch this video

A guy who originally sang its praises and was going to tell the world that it indeed did work and could save lives went back on his studies after getting money from the Gates foundation. He’s on video talking about his betrayal and knowing that it would cost thousands of lives. Or don’t watch it and continue to believe it doesn’t work because of fraudulent studies. It’s up to you to decide what you want to believe. This is a smoking gun showing that ivermectin was killed so by governments big pharma could push the mRNA shots and now their horrible anti virals that don’t work. It’s why the anti ivermectin comments are met with so much disdain. The truth is there for people with open minds to see.
It starts about 1/2 way through the video. Many people have posted the information in previous doses. Maybe you just missed them?

On the cusp dismissed an article I posted on the NYT
written by the science staff because all NYT articles apparently should be shunned completely now.
I used to really enjoy your political commentary and actually agreed with much of what you wrote.

in virtually all aspects of the pandemic.
For every scientist and peer reviewed study, there are experts and peer reviewed studies that say something different, and often say the opposite.
We will know a lot more in 5 or 6 months when Pfizer releases all the information on their clinical trials.
