The study, released on Monday by researchers at Imperial College London, is the “first evidence of a protective role for these T cells,” finding that their presence in high levels after a common cold can help to protect against Covid infection.
“Our study provides the clearest evidence to date that T cells induced by common cold coronaviruses play a protective role against SARS-CoV-2 infection,” Professor Ajit Lalvani, senior author of the study, wrote. He said the cells “provide protection by attacking proteins within the virus, rather than the spike protein on its surface.”
The study began in September 2020, at a time when most UK citizens had not been infected with Covid, taking blood samples from participants within six days of them being exposed to the virus. It explored the levels of T cells created by the common cold that cross-recognized the Covid proteins.
In individuals who did not become infected with Covid, the levels of cross-reactive T cells were substantially higher than in those who caught the virus, showing that T cells target the internal proteins in Covid.
The cold is just one of the many coronaviruses we are constantly exposed to and have been our entire lives. This is especially good news for kids since their inate immunity system is so much stronger compared to people who are older when age makes everything break down. It might be the Thymus gland that is stronger at their age. Might be something else that I can’t think of, but it’s somewhere rattling around in my brain from some articles I’ve read on why kids are at low risk for getting very sick from Covid. If it comes to me I’ll correct this.

So does honey. I personally prefer a few drops of honey and a good dash of lemon in 2 or 3 (or 4....) fingers of good Bourbon to soothe the sore throat before bed: a toddyless Toddy, so to speak. Ya can keep the hot water.
My wife and are going to the drive-up testing center today to retest, to see if we're still positive, and to ask them if they can determine which variant.
Helpful foods aside, this definitely sucks. But I'm still not dead. Avoid it if you can...

Hospitals and coroners were told that they didn’t actually need a positive test to declare someone died of Covid. Lots of people in nursing homes everywhere weren’t actually tested for it, but it got claimed as a Covid death. And St. Fauci recently admitted that most kids in hospitals were not in there because of Covid, but since everyone is tested they found lots that tested positive. It’s not like this is new information, but it is new that they are finally admitting it. I find that very curious.

Seriously back when I watched TV it seemed that every other commercial was asking people if they had been injured by one drug or another to join the class action lawsuits. People can laugh at that all they want, but there’s Vioxx, Bextra, the damn opioid crisis, Johnson’s baby powder and many other drugs that were approved, but had to be removed from the market. And Pfizer holds the record for paying the largest fine for criminal acts. Only fined, but not one jailed. I bet that would change their behavior if a few of them were sent to prison.

claimed that the Covid vaccines have caused a significant rise in cancers because the vaccines damage the immune system. Of course he supplies no scientific evidence for this claim, but this was spread across social media networks anyway. The article below is a scientific refutation of his claims that relies heavily on the researcher Katalin Kariko...."One of these studies was co-authored by Katalin Karikó and colleagues[1]. Im not surprised by this
The cold is just one of the many coronaviruses we are constantly exposed to and have been our entire lives. This is especially good news for kids since their inate immunity system is so much stronger compared to people who are older when age makes everything break down. It might be the Thymus gland that is stronger at their age. Might be something else that I can’t think of, but it’s somewhere rattling around in my brain from some articles I’ve read on why kids are at low risk for getting very sick from Covid. If it comes to me I’ll correct this.

Just so you know I looked it up and confirmed that is what gives kids superior immunity. It loses it functionality as we age and why we get sick more easily when we do. My Covid thing is slowly getting better (I'm barely coughing anymore, but my throat still feels as if Roto-Rooter has visited it in the recent past). Soups with vinegar and dill seem to help, unsurprisingly, as does a good avgolemono (Greek penicillin). Acidic foods rock, for comfort.
So does honey. I personally prefer a few drops of honey and a good dash of lemon in 2 or 3 (or 4....) fingers of good Bourbon to soothe the sore throat before bed: a toddyless Toddy, so to speak. Ya can keep the hot water.
My wife and are going to the drive-up testing center today to retest, to see if we're still positive, and to ask them if they can determine which variant.
Helpful foods aside, this definitely sucks. But I'm still not dead. Avoid it if you can...

The CDC is finally admitting that there is a difference between people who have died from Covid vs how many died with it.
Hospitals and coroners were told that they didn’t actually need a positive test to declare someone died of Covid. Lots of people in nursing homes everywhere weren’t actually tested for it, but it got claimed as a Covid death. And St. Fauci recently admitted that most kids in hospitals were not in there because of Covid, but since everyone is tested they found lots that tested positive. It’s not like this is new information, but it is new that they are finally admitting it. I find that very curious.

They are protesting the
vaccine passports and lock-downs. Belgium has one of the highest rates of vaccinations in Europe. Many European countries have used COVID-19 as a modus operandi to turn into police states where compliance to authority is the end game.
There are a variety of reasons
, that people are protesting, as is always the case in any large demonstration. Belgium does not have a mandatory vaccine policy yet. You can clearly see in that video some signs protesting the (likely) imposition of that very policy. I hope the Belgian people have some influence on their government.
The corporate media rarely covers demonstrations unless they can spin it to suit their purposes. So, unfortunately the people have to cover it. It does get tedious but should be done anyway. After all we have to listen to a constant drumbeat of lies from corporate media. People can support the counter-narrative. Some are even inspired by it.

Seriously back when I watched TV it seemed that every other commercial was asking people if they had been injured by one drug or another to join the class action lawsuits. People can laugh at that all they want, but there’s Vioxx, Bextra, the damn opioid crisis, Johnson’s baby powder and many other drugs that were approved, but had to be removed from the market. And Pfizer holds the record for paying the largest fine for criminal acts. Only fined, but not one jailed. I bet that would change their behavior if a few of them were sent to prison.
