record dry, and record heat- a little cool/rainy snap has just arrived, and is forecast to last for the next two or three hours. The temp just dropped down to 37degF. And I just saw some snowflakes starting to mix in with the light rain.

It won’t last long, nor will it stick- but it is actually snowing on Christmas Eve here south of Denver.

Wonder of wonders. Merry Christmas to all!

jast asking. Nobody tells me the truth. First they want to tell me that Mary was a virgin. Not true. Then they tell everbody that they are happy on Christmas. Definitely not true. Then they tell me Santa fits through a chimney. Not true either.

Why for God's sake is everybody lying through their teeth? They all make a mess out of Christmas.

I need more eggnog.

Can't wait for the Happy New Year.

Don't forget the star that hung stationary over that damn manger for impossible ages. Where myths run rampant, eggnog is your friend.

I arrived at the bottom of the eggnog and down there, they just tell me to get some more to make it through to next year's Christmas.

Your music and news archives are a treasure. Now, I don't trust digital archives. So, may be if I get depressed beyond all reason, I start a paper archive. At least if you destroy the National Archives people would know all over the world, if the National Archives were all digitized, no one would know how much would have been erased by evil spirits.

I love me my paper clips dolls, err my hanging folders with printed clips of the news.
so, damn it, we have to go on, going on, and fight back.

I didn't listen to all of it, nor do I understand, what they say, but I think it would fit.

Who knows what I again didn't understand properly, but I don't care anymore

Thankts to all for what you have done to make C99 a site I will always come back to. Give rose

Weihnachtsmann (Santa Claus), those cruel media-types got me all depressed how they dealt with the Weihnachtsmann. All the best to you til next Christmas, I hope you had friends around you to celebrate.

I tell you a secret, I am most happy on Christmas when it's over.

When I was a kid, our Christmas went like this:

My mom played Christmas carols on the piano, my father couldn't sing and always was half a tone off. Then my father started to cry and it was awful. (My mother explained to me much later that was a left-over from my father coming back from Russian POW camp (he was one from 1943 to 1947) the first time after WWII on 1947 Christmas and was overwhelmed to to find my mom alive and having survived the bombardments in Berlin and having two cute kids. (my brother and sister kindergarden age) I was not born yet at that time. So, these were tears of yoy.

Later as an adult being in the US, my then husband and I never knew what to do on Christmass.

We were not catholic so the midnight mass was nothing for us. For us Christmass was on the 24th evening hours. For the Americans it is the 25th in the morning. So we went to my husbands African friends, ate a lot and that was it. I heard my husband's family singing in Cameroon, baptist church music. I loved those the best.

oh well, I am tired. My eggnog is finished and that means Christmas is over. Good night.

Edit and add-on: Not only the world gets fubar, my spelling too. I think it is a sin that I should not write anything more. I mourn too many people I respected and loved in my life. If I hadn's a son, I think I would like my life to be over.

Hi Joe,

Thanks for the great tunes. And thanks for all you do to keep us musically educated, informed, and entertained. And thanks for making it so I don't even have to look up and find that Cheech & Chong for my annual ritual. Wink

Have a great one all!
