Two Arab Parties Unite to Defeat Benjamin Netanyahu

"Joint List to support vote for Knesset Speaker
Yair Lapid’s Yesh Atid party began the legislative process on Thursday to try to replace the current speaker of the Knesset, Yariv Levin of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud party, with Yesh Atid lawmaker Mickey Levy.
Yesh Atid took the step without informing its future coalition partner, Yamina, whose leader, Naftali Bennett, is slated to become prime minister, risking majority Knesset support for the move.
However, later on Thursday, the Joint List – a majority Arab alliance that isn't part of the Lapid-Bennett coalition but a staunch opponent of Netanyahu – announced it supports the move, ensuring a comfortable majority.
Joint List officially requested to hold the vote during the Knesset's next session on Monday, in a move blasted by Netanyahu's Likud party."
And, from the NY Times, Thomas Friedman remarks, "But if there is a silver lining that can never be taken away, it is the fact that not only Israeli Jewish parties, but Israeli right-wing Jewish parties, have agreed to serve in an Israeli national unity coalition — and not only with an Israeli Arab party, but with an Israeli Arab Islamist party."
The numbers make this story. The two Arab Parties, Ra'am and Joint List, together hold 10 seats in the Knesset. The Left and Center Parties in the coalition hold 58 seats. Only 61 Knesset votes are needed to ditch Bibi.
Even if Bibi can peel off a few RW supporters from Yamina, it is unlikely to be sufficient to his intended purpose.

Getting rid of Bibi is great now to see how things improve.

I have said all along that life will not improve significantly for Gaza and all Palestinians in the near term.
But this is a start.
Towards representation for all the residents of Israel, the West Bank and Gaza.
If no more families are evicted from their homes in the West Bank, that will be something wonderful.
If no more homes in Gaza are blasted to bits, that will be wonderful.
No guarantees of any of this. But it is a start.

What will change is the loosening of Orthodox strangleholds on Public Transportation, for example and the chipping away of the Apartheid State which says that some citizens are real citizens or somesuchcrap.
