Most Cruel and Unusual – The COVID Relief Bill

Simply put, this “COVID Relief” bill, is beyond outrageous. It should be grounds for justifiable homicide!

This is like a gut punch, followed by a kick in the balls, followed by a knife in the back. And then while you're lying on the ground withering in agony, then a final kick to the face for good measure, while someone pisses on you.

The approach to dealing with this Pandemic has been nothing short of a criminal dereliction of duty by all members of our government and all three branches of our government. It is a complete and utter FAILURE!

A 9/11 worth of death is happening everyday as a direct result of our government's failure to perform it's most basic function, to protect the people.

I'm so glad that during the worst healthcare crisis in American history, race horse owners will get a tax break for qualifying race horses, because ya know how important horse racing is to our "economy" and protecting public health.

From WallStreetOnParade.com:

While the $600 checks could be easily increased to $2,000 through a standalone measure, exorcising all of the intricate pork would be a far bigger hurdle. For example, thoroughbred racehorse owners who reside in Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s home state of Kentucky might be unhappy with the removal of a special tax break for them that is buried in the bill. The tax provision permits racehorse owners to depreciate the value of qualifying racehorses. The C-suite might also be nonplussed with the removal of what is being called the 3-martini lunch tax provision. It increases from 50 percent to 100 percent the deduction of business-related meals.

I'm so glad our government has set aside millions to wage regime change wars during the worst public healthcare crisis in our history!
From WSWS.com

While they could only throw pocket change at the working class, the bill approved by Congress Monday includes $7.8 billion for Immigration and Customs Enforcement, ensuring that gestapo raids on the homes of immigrants and deportations will continue for another year. It also provides for the needs of American imperialism, giving $300 million for “countering Chinese influence” and absurdly recognizing the Dalai Lama’s reincarnation process. $40 million and $33 million respectively are to be shoveled into the efforts to overthrow the governments of Syria and Venezuela.

Something like 32 billion in back rent is waiting to be paid off, but $600 won't even scratch the surface and extending the eviction deadline by 30 days, is nothing short of a bad, cruel joke.

Jimmy Dore goes a bit more into the details of this bill.

Gee, over 2 billion for a Space Force because ya know, those Commie ET's are out there just waiting to take over our beautiful planet and harvest our natural resource so they can fuel their intergalactic space ships!

35 million for sex sustenance programs because ya know we can't be having sex during a pandemic with nothing left to do, but ya know, have sex. So, don't have sex your morons!

Another 1.3 billion for Egypt, because ya know, they will help us with this pandemic.

435 million for Ukraine, 177 Million for Israeli short range missile defense systems, 500 million for Israeli cooperative program (communes) and another 73 million for Israeli Iron Dome missile defense program, and then 33 million for regime change operations in Venezuela.

Dylan Ratigan says “it's like taking a blow torch to 1/3rd of our economy and people”.

Over 320,000 of our fellow citizens have died as a direct result of an unofficial/official herd immunity policy that is nothing short of a gross dereliction of duty by all three branches of our government. All of them should be facing a firing squad!

This is nothing short of war being waged on the American public for the benefit of the already Wealthy.

-Greed is not a virtue.
-Socialism: the radical idea of sharing.
-Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.

She is setting it up to fail by using unanimous consent

unanimous consent - A senator may request unanimous consent on the floor to set aside a specified rule of procedure so as to expedite proceedings. If no Senator objects, the Senate permits the action, but if any one senator objects, the request is rejected.

People know that and she isn't getting away with it. Whether it changes anything who knows, but people are seeing this for what it is.

when someone thinks they actually care about the 99% - care enough to ensure our safety, care enough to ensure we have shelter, care enough to ensure we have food, care enough to ensure we can pay for those things. It's laughable. But maybe folks will see this for what it is and rise up. That is their fear but we're the ones that cower.

"The “jumpers” reminded us that one day we will all face only one choice and that is how we will die, not how we will live." Chris Hedges on 9/11

the US government was confronted with a huge group of citizens that were anti capitalist, being small "s" socialists or small "c" subscribers to communism. This shocked the ruling class, the wealthy and the political. Having decided that this group represented "the left", it waged war relentlessly over the decades to eradicate them through drug laws and economic warfare.

Regardless of the path in life I chose, I realize it's always forward, never straight.

A do-something Congress is sometimes worse than a do-nothing Congress. If you gave Congress a mug of hot water and a jar of instant coffee, they couldn't produce a cuppa joe without fracking it up.
