President Trump has clearly lost what is left of his mind.
He doesn't want to end just one Forever War. He's aiming at ending THREE Forever Wars.
No one but a madman would ever consider such insanity!

Acting Defense Secretary Christopher Miller said Tuesday the U.S. will reduce troop levels in Iraq and Afghanistan by mid-January, asserting that the decision fulfills President Donald Trump’s pledge to bring forces home from America’s long wars even as Republicans and U.S. allies warn of the dangers of withdrawing before conditions are right.

The plan will accelerate troop withdrawals from Iraq and Afghanistan in Trump’s final days in office, despite arguments from senior military officials in favor of a slower, more methodical pullout to preserve hard-fought gains.

Make no mistake, both political parties are against ending the wars, and as we all know the entire spectrum of reasonable political thought is encompassed by the two political parties. Any ideas not embraced by one of the political parties is by definition wacky, unreasonable, utopian, not pragmatic, and pointless to even consider.
And when you also include the media and the generals you have everyone that counts in this country supporting the wars. So if you don't support the wars what's wrong with you?

These wars are all in their teenage years, which is a very delicate age. These wars have difficulty with self-confidence, so we should not be undermining their self-esteem by telling them they shouldn't exist. That poor parentage.

And who does Trump think he is, pulling troops out of Iraq. It's not like Iraq asked us to leave several times. Well okay they did ask us to leave several times, that doesn't mean we have to listen to them.
Trump wants to pull troops out of Somalia. Somalia?! If we can't bomb Somalia who can we bomb?
The American media was quick to point out that as the news broke that we were pulling troops out of Somalia, there was a terrorist attack. Obviously terrorists wouldn't have attacked if we weren't pulling troops out. Because Somalia never gets attacked unless we're pulling troops out, I guess.

On the plus side, Trump is considering starting a war with Iran, and virtually everyone in Washington or the media support it.
