Beyond words here folks

So Bernie you are overlooking Biden's history of legislation that made it harder for the working class to get ahead? Or that you ran twice on reversing the damage that Biden has done? WTF Bernie? What the hell happened?

Highlighting Trump's 'Promises Broken,' Sanders Gives Address on Biden's Plan for the Economy and Working Families

"Joe Biden has laid out an economic plan that will help working families move forward—not with broken promises—but concrete plans to help people in every community do better for themselves and their children."

Good grief. Biden just left an administration that went back on it promises to us. In other word they BROKE THEIR PROMISES. No need to rehash what the Obama administration gave us, but I don't get how Bernie can forget what Biden did for 4 decades.

Sen. Bernie Sanders will deliver a speech Saturday afternoon about the economic reforms that must be put in place to improve the lives of working Americans and how Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden plans to raise wages, create millions of new jobs, and narrow the United States' massive wealth gap.

"Joe Biden has laid out an economic plan that will help working families move forward—not with broken promises—but concrete plans to help people in every community do better for themselves and their children," Sanders plans to say in the address, which will air live at Common Dreams, the Vermont senator's website, or on his social media platforms.

Comments:

- WTF? Is Biden too busy reassuring the banksters to deliver this address himself?
- Bernie, tells us more about how Biden wants to keep the parasitic health industry intact while making Healthcare ‘affordable’ … for people that have no jobs.
- they’re never going to like you Bernie. But by all means, keep trying. Maybe you can get Secretary of Silly Walks.

- And they are still going to blame you if Biden loses.

Token symbolic measures that were on display.

At the end of the video Krystal nails what Obama did not do.

This hypocrite told blacks that it hurt the military when they kneeled and asked them to quit doing that when he was in office. Now he's saying that he fully supports the sports teams that 'boycotted' their game. For One Night. Or maybe two.

I posted this in the EBs last night.

Especially after LeBron said he was sick of this shit. Psst...L this ain’t gonna do anything to get cops from murdering blacks. So what was 1st thing this committee got done?

On Friday, the NBA and the players announced that they would resume the season on Saturday, but a “social justice coalition, with representatives from players, coaches and governors, that will be focused on a broad range of issues, including increasing access to voting, promoting civic engagement, and advocating for meaningful police and criminal justice reform,” would be “immediately” established.

From the Kabuki Theater Playbook:

Engel said his panel had "no further option but to begin drafting a resolution finding Secretary Pompeo in contempt of Congress" after the nation's top diplomat refused to hand over records related to the impeachment proceedings against President Donald Trump.

How many months too late is this? BTW will you be working on K street next or does AIPAC better suit you?

But wait there's more:

The New York Democrat also pointed to Pompeo's withholding of documents purportedly related to Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden—records that the secretary of state has already given to two Republican-led Senate committees. In a statement announcing a subpoena for the documents last month, Engel accused Pompeo of turning the State Department "into an arm of the Trump campaign."

"After trying to stonewall virtually every oversight effort by the Foreign Affairs Committee in the last two years," said Engel, "Mr. Pompeo is more than happy to help Senate Republicans advance their conspiracy theories about the Bidens."

Pot/Kettle here much Eliot?

If Biden and Harris are saying America will support Israel no matter what and Pompeo spoke from Israel, this is simply smoke and mirrors. Now if he was speaking from Tehran, well …

Or Russia. Yeah imagine if Mike has spoken from Russia with the Kremlin in the background. Heads would be exploding, but since it was from our good friends Israel this was mighty acceptable.

Bernie seems to be speaking from a distant galaxy far far away. This kind of speech is outdated and useless.

There is no clear and absolute deliverable VOTE FOR that I heard.

Joe will lower Medicare age to 60? IIRC even Hill made a similar bogus promise at some point.
I think she mentioned lowering the age to 55? It will not persuade anybody that Joe is going to make life easier for them.

A better approach would have been a Power Point presentation with Bernie saying "Who let 180,000 Americans die while he denied the current health crisis? Then, show slide of Trump in his golf clothes. That particular rear view we've all see. Bernie says, "This Guy."

Continue with----Who is golfing while one million people every week lose their jobs? Show same slide of T's wide ass. "This guy!"

Who is visiting his golf resorts while 1/2 million people are homeless tonight? You get the idea.

Then show Slide of Biden announcing that he has "evolved" on M4A and will be implementing Medicare For All with Bernie's help over the next four years.

Now you've got a presentation that might get voters to the polls for Joe.

Go Big or go away, Bernie.

Hillary’s was 55 so Biden went one better and went with 60. But he is saying that the 1st thing that needs done is to strengthen the ACA. How? What does that even mean? Hey maybe it means that Biden will get premiums and deductibles down so that more people can afford to buy into it? Well no because millions don’t have any damn money because they are unemployed.

Trump said that the government would pay for medical bills for people who get COVID. Has this gone any further than just talk? Pelosi offered to pay for people’s COBRA which just puts more money in insurance pockets. Has this been implemented yet or is it sitting on McConnell's desk?

Brie wrote that her ancestors were slaves and her mother wasn’t allowed to vote and yet people are telling her that she’s privileged because she won’t vote for Biden.

Joe Biden: It Would Be an Insult to My Dead Son for Everyone to Have Healthcare

Biden starts by relating the story of how his son died despite having access to quality healthcare via quality insurance. “Healthcare is personal to me,” Biden says in the ad, over a sappy soundtrack and imagery of him looking vaguely prayerful, standing in front of a flag, and being patted on the back by Barack Obama. “Obamacare is personal to me. And when I see the president try to tear it down and others propose to replace it and start over, that’s personal to me, too. We’ve got to build on what we did, because every American deserves affordable healthcare.”

Biden, whose plan would not cover everyone, has repeatedly suggested that Medicare for All would represent "starting over," which he has said would be a “sin.” The more generous read here is that he’s saying he doesn’t think it would be worth doing a lot of political work to get a better system in place, that his son benefitted from various provisions in the Affordable Care Act (making this personal to him), and that mainly he wants to communicate the idea that on principle, everyone having access to affordable healthcare would be good. The less-generous read—and given that he’s said Medicare for All would involve a “hiatus” of some sort up to three years, it’s not all that ungenerous—is that he wants people to think that implementing Medicare for All would involve blowing up the healthcare system as it stands and leaving people with no health insurance for some period. (In fact it would cover every person in the U.S., with no lapse in coverage.)

This doesn’t even make sense. How could giving everyone health care insult his dead son? Especially since Biden got help from Obama to pay his bills? This should have been the wake up call for Biden to see why so many people have to declare bankruptcy even though they had access to insurance.

Damn right!

Many people say that Bernie was always a sheep dog, but I honestly believe he was not like this all his career. Bernie used to stand for something. Now he has become just another political hack.

Then there is Biden who refuses to debate Trump. To me, this is an automatic disqualifier. Biden has no real platform and cannot even provide a coherent interview. And we are supposed to vote for him sight unseen? F*ck that shit. I love Compton Jay who has become one of my go to follows.

And Obama is beyond pale. i cannot listen to him without becoming revulsed. The only time he has shown his smug mug has been to defeat anyone or anything that challenges the establishment.

The Dems are far more dangerous that the Repubs. At least with the Repubs they are out front with who they are. The Dems are snakes and wolves in sheep's clothing.

I had some well meaning neighbors who are good Dems try to convince me that I must vote for Biden at all costs the other evening when we had a social distance cocktail hour outside one of their houses. They did not know or care that Biden wants to gut Social Security or that he wrote the crime bill. They are privileged white people who think they are doing good by continuing to buy into the lesser of two evils. I do not dislike them for it, but I really wish I could make them understand why it is so dangerous to do this.

I have been very depressed over all this and am spending more time on hobbies. We are so screwed.

Here we are 3 decades after Clinton still moaning about how bad democrats are instead of giving up hope that they will deliver. I’ve been baffled by this thinking for some time. But I’m even more baffled by those who think democrats are better than republicans. It’s been interesting watching the never Biden voters pretzelize their minds into believing that he’s exactly who we need as president even though Trump followed their tenure.

Obama is getting hammered on Twitter for stopping the boycott. I have been having fun with the Obama sycophants who are defending him.

Thanks for the compliment. This started as a comment, but I kept adding to it. I’m seeing lots of people saying that they have blocked Bernie on Twitter because they just can’t believe what he’s been saying. He has no problem calling out republicans right and left, but he rarely calls out his own party for doing the same things.

has become ridding the country of a president named trump, this is the result. Hell, there's a good chance it will not even work.

I admire Bernie, his political career, his successes with trying to start a discussion, and his policy positions. He's tried to do a lot of good against great odds. This decision, his choice, is dismantling a whole lifetime of doing the right thing. I respect him immensely but he picked the wrong hill on which to sacrifice his legacy.

I can forgive him for what he's doing. It's been obvious for a very long time that despite all of who he is and all of his work, he would not be the man to drag the people of this country into building a sane government. That's too big a job for one man but at least he may have planted a seed.

is a new generation of activists, a demonstration that you can run a Presidential campaign (the most expensive kind) with only small donations, and a shift in the Overton window so that we can at least discuss the changes that are required like Medicare for All. I don't think we should consider that a failure. But I don't expect that he'll be able to accomplish much more than that.

@WoodsDweller have the conversation all we want. But we aren't allowed to get anything out of that conversation. Just more empty talk to keep the hope alive and the votes flowing, IMHO. After all, we simply cannot have a loss of faith in our "institutions" which does directly threaten the powerful, their puppets at least, so it is more important than ever to get people to believe those institutions really exist.

Every time I see one more sell out shill, looking at both Obama's and all the other screamers about "our democracy is at stake!" to get out there and vote like your life depends on it I just want to scream. Our lives DO depend on it, but not the way these power hungry liars would have us believe. If we are enabling them over and over and over again by giving them our votes and even our attention or money, then at some point I guess we have to accept responsibility for the outcome of that. But all talk aside, taking real responsibility for ones actions isn't something Americans excel at. Vote to keep the hope alive, but don't really look at just what that empty hope brings with it, just do it, because we say so.

Absolutely. I wonder if the Obama luvers just remember his speeches when he ran for the 1st time and think that he actually delivered on them instead of seeing what his tenure really was. How can the same people that were anti war during Bush give him a pass for expanding the 2 wars he inherited and expanding them to 7? How did they forgive the 3 brutal coups he committed? Overlook his war on whistleblowers where he prosecuted more people under the espionage act then every previous president combined? Same question for those who overlooked his deporting more immigrants than every previous president combined? When he sued the court because he wanted to hold kids in detention centers longer than the law allowed?

. Vote to keep the hope alive, but don't really look at just what that empty hope brings with it, just do it, because we say so.

But I especially want to know what the hell happened to the people who adamantly supported single payer health care and were disappointed when he dropped the ACA turd on us, but were then against any type of single payer that could come from MFA just because it was Bernie doing it while he ran against HerHeinous? Her that was even more Bush on wars and regime changes that Bush was? I really want to understand how people can change their principles that much in less than a few years.

how are you doing with your friends that think that Biden is going to be the cat's meow and keeping their eyes closed to his true legacy? My uncle and I have decided that we won't talk politics anymore because we are so far apart. He thinks the Obamas walk on water and Pelosi can do not wrong. Now I am working on getting him to stop talking about all the crap Donald does because what does that do besides raise his blood pressure? @WoodsDweller There is no dishonor in trying and failing. Bernie is the only one who was trying for a long time. I’ve seen him in the role of a teacher for a long time. He has shown the way for others who are now showing promise. I always had the hope he would break through the wall but knew it was unlikely to ever happen. I also knew he would have few allies if he did manage to become president and that might be worse than never achieving the office.

Like Biden winning, he will fail to do anything meaningful to pull people together or improve people’s lives. Four years from now the political landscape will be as bad or worse than today. People will be in worse shape and more pissed off and divided. Sooner or later the country will explode if we don’t change. Maybe one of Bernie’s “kids” will break out of this cycle and offer the leadership needed. The alternative is pretty ugly to consider.

We owe Bernie for his work on popularizing Medicare for all and the Green New Deal. He has brought Roosevelt's accomplishments back to the fore. I think it is time for him to step back. It is not the time to step forward as a cheerleader for the neo-libs. Step into the background Bernie and just endorse some Justice Democrats or other socialists. Help quietly and let the Democrats flounder in their swamp. They are losers as are the Republicans. I'm hoping the celebrities of various kinds who are forming a Peoples' Party can make a success of it. It's probably our only chance.
