Progressive 2024 OR NOTHIN'

I hate this four year pattern the radical left is stuck in where we acquiesce to the DNC candidate, then get ignored because we've already spent our clout. We are the ones whose opponents should have been maneuvered into checkmate, but instead we're hamstrung. Not a single card left to play.

Every time I see someone lament the Biden dilemma I have the same thought. Let's get proactive about it. I'm giving fair warning. Progressive 2024 or nothing. This is the end of the line for me and the DNC. If the top of the ticket isn't a firebrand initiator of change then you can count me out, and if the DNC chooses someone else, that's not on me, it's on them.

I hesitate to use the word "progressive" since it's grown similar to "liberal" in connotation. I could interchange "radical" or a handful of other terms which mean more or less the same thing.

I've long ago given up on the demoncratic party.
Both parties could care less about you because they both win regardless of who loses.
To them you're a pawn. First in line of the cannon fodder.

Regardless of the path in life I chose, I realize it's always forward, never straight.

I like your "firebrand initiator of change" descriptor. It describes everything we want and both duopoly parties seriously do not want, in incorruptible terms.

Most of us c99ers are already lost to the duopoly; as an example, I DemExited in 2016.

.

1. The fact that the Left is not represented by a political Party in the US.

Or

2. The fact that the Left has been co-mingling with the Democratic Party.

Which do you think is worse:

1. The fact that the Left is not represented by a political Party in the US.

Or

2. The fact that the Left has been co-mingling with the Democratic Party.

Item 1, without question. Why? Because Item 1 is the cause of Item 2.

And choice 1 will continue if choice 2 continues.

That might be good news, as the DemExits will continue until the Dems either return to the New Deal/FDR ideology which gave them their very best years in living memory or the party will disintegrate as the irrelevant appendage it is today.

There he was, ahead, was gonna win, until the Obama/Clinton/Pelosi/Clyburn faction gamed it. And there we were, with no back up plan.

I don't think it matters who I vote for this time. Biden will win my state whether or not I vote for him.

I think, yes, 2024 starts now.

@Shahryar

was completely ignored in the stampede of people falling over themselves to praise Biden's masterful coalition building with Jim "Give Health Insurance Companies all the things" Clyburn.

Nothing quite like letting a bunch of conservative southern religious anti-jew bigots who happen to be black decide the course of the presidential election. Sanders never courted Clyburn's vote because anti-jewish bigotry is like anti-gay bigotry in the black community: pervasive and, all too often, ignored. Good luck advancing this narrative, though: they got some serious blinders on about this in some circles (*cough* DK *cough*).

The democrats have a serious problem when it comes to identity politics. They play one group against another for their own political gain, and all of us--including, ultimately, the favored group du jour--suffer for it.

There is no radical left in Washington

Bondi's talking about us. And the fact that you point out: that no one to the left of Richard M. Nixon has any representation in USA politics anywhere these days.
