What Constitutional Crisis?

NOTE: This rant is not to poor cold water on Fire with Fire's essay, but that what started as a comment, turned into this... ramblings of a mindless lunatic!

How can there be a constitutional crisis when neither party, nor any federal or local law enforcement, actually recognizes the constitution any more? It's absurd.

Think for a few moments...

The SCOTUS appointed GWB president in clear violation of Federal law. GWB launched two illegal wars in blatant violation of the constitution. Obama drone murdered American citizens in blatant violation of the constitution, and expanded those two illegal wars into how many more illegal wars?

The horror that has been unfolding in Yemen, is all on Obama. We (the US) side with an absolute monarchy in Saudi Arabia, who fucking chop off people's heads for "witch craft", so they can bomb Yemen, with our help, into submission.

9/11 is still a topic most people can't not talk about without freaking out and losing their god damn mind. Gee, when someone hijacks a plane, they violate federal law, and there are laws for gathering of "evidence". None of those laws were followed after 9/11. There is / was, no "evidence" collected. It was DESTROYED, by the Feds.

Gee, do we remember this guy, the so-called master mind behind 9/11.
Cvk9WRBWIAEHREd_1.jpg

Gee, here's Hillary Clinton explaining what it happened.

Did you catch that part where she says "lead by democrats"? Of course she leave out, that is was Jimmy Carter that initiated, and goaded the Soviet Union into invading Afghanistan.

President Carter's national security advisor, Zbigniew Brzezinski was the "architect" of drawing the Soviet Union into Afghanistan.

From the WSWS:

Brzezinski acknowledged in an interview with the French news magazine Le Nouvel Observateur in January 1998 that he initiated a policy in which the CIA covertly began arming the mujahedeen in July 1978—six months before Soviet troops intervened in Afghanistan—with the explicit aim of dragging the Soviet Union into a debilitating war.

Asked, given the catastrophe unleashed upon Afghanistan and the subsequent growth of Islamist terrorist groups like Al Qaeda, whether he regretted the policy he championed in Afghanistan, Brzezinski replied:

“Regret what? That secret operation was an excellent idea. It had the effect of drawing the Russians into the Afghan trap and you want me to regret it? The day that the Soviets officially crossed the border, I wrote to President Carter: We now have the opportunity of giving to the USSR its Vietnam War. Indeed, for almost 10 years, Moscow had to carry on a war unsupportable by the government, a conflict that brought about the demoralization and finally the breakup of the Soviet empire.”

Gee, look at the pictures of what was left after we dropped two atomic bombs on Japan. Then look at what was left after three building crumbled to dust, fucking dust, from gee, jet fuel fires. It's absurd!

01_lede.jpg

Jet fuel fires do not produce this kind of total destruction.
0GcpP7S.jpg

Gee, an Atomic bomb couldn't take those buildings down, but jet fuel fires turn 3 modern concrete and steel buildings into dust? One of which, WTC 7, wasn't even hit.

Gee, how can the BBC report that WTC 7 fell, when clearly is it standing in the background, live on air, while they report is was already destroyed? (This was about 20 or so minutes before it actually fell, at free fall speed, hours after WTC 1 & 2 had crumbed into DUST!)

Gee, Nancy Fucking Pelosi would not impeach GWB when we found out the "evidence" against Iraq was cooked. Let that sink in. Gee think back to the Iraq war I. It was launched based on lies as well. Gee remember when the Iraqi troops were giving up and returning to Baghdad, and they were slaughtered? That was a WAR CRIME of the 1st order! They were retreating.
highway-of-death-iraq-116.jpg

The soldiers that committed this horrendous act, were treated like fucking Hero's! (disgusting celebrity worship)

We have no sovereignty. Somewhere along the way in this country we forgot these people we "elected" are supposed to be "servants" of the people's will. They are not "leaders". They are supposed to implement the "will of the people", which clearly hasn't happened for a very, very long time!

Voting, fucking doesn't work, not in an Oligarchy.

The only "solution" we have left, is Revolution. And the quicker people come to realize this, the quicker we can become a sovereign nation again, but that won't happen when people like Jeff Bezos can make 13 billion in 1 fucking day, during a pandemic that has taken over 140 thousand American lives, and we have a nation who worship wealth and war above all else.

From Bloomberg:

Jeff Bezos added $13 billion to his net worth on Monday, the largest single-day jump for an individual since the Bloomberg Billionaires Index was created in 2012.

Until people like Jeff Bezos or Elon Musk, feel the heat of death or poverty, nothing will change, except this siege warfare waged on the American people, will only get worse.

God damn, our so called free press, praises our president when he violates the constitution, bombing sovereign countries, that didn't attack us nor threaten too. It's fucking disgusting!

From the Hill

CNN host Fareed Zakaria says President Trump’s missile strike in Syria shows him displaying the same qualities as America’s past leaders.

“I think Donald Trump became president of the United States last night,” he said Friday on CNN’s “New Day." "I think this was actually a big moment.”

“For the first time really as president, he talked about international norms, international rules, about America’s role in enforcing justice in the world,” Zakaria, the host of CNN's "GPS," said of Trump’s remarks explaining the military action late Thursday.

Fareed Zakaria is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and is a "praised" as some kind of important person, "Esquire has named him one of the twenty-one most important people of the twenty-first century.". WTF?

Who the fuck said it is our job to "keep the world safe for Democracy"? Well...
From Counterpunch

Safe for Democracy™
In what PR watchdog John Stauber calls “perhaps the most effective job of large-scale war propaganda which the world has ever witnessed,” the Committee on Public Information, run by veteran newspaperman George Creel with the help of others like Edward Bernays, used all available forms of media to promote the noble purpose behind World War I: To keep the world safe for democracy.

That legacy still pervades the conscious mind of the American people, and it's complete bullshit!

I spelled out what would happen if the constitution still existed and if the Democrats were really a political party made up of basically decent people struggling with the menace of Donald Trump. Its overt purpose was to illuminate the reality of our social order -- fraudulent politics to prevent interference with the permanent government and its sponsors.

Great essay, by the way.

@fire with fire I wasn't trashing your essay, because I agree with it, but had additional commentary that seems would have been way too much.

It started our rather snarky, WTF a constitutional crisis? How can we have a constitutional crisis we can't even acknowledge it actually exists? and turned into what I posted.

The CIA, NSA, and all the other XYZs in the War Department believe strongly that they set policy. In effect, that they are in charge and know best. How does that fit in with the Constitution. Where are these powers specified?

The Treaty Clause is part of Article II, Section 2, Clause 2 of the United States Constitution that empowers the President of the United States to propose and chiefly negotiate agreements between the United States and other countries, which, upon receiving the advice and consent of a two-thirds supermajority vote of the United States Senate, become binding with the force of federal law.

(My Bold)

Since we ratified the UN Charter that makes all of our wars of aggression unconstitutional and war crimes. Our use of phosphorus and napalm are war crimes.

If you read the Constitution carefully, especially the Bill of Rights then you know that what we got bears little resemblance. So we have two levels of bad. The Constitution, written by the slave owning aristocracy, is a piece of shit by modern, or any, standards. It was intended that the elite run the government, and the people in only one case get to elect these elite representatives. Electoral college for the Presidency? really. With nothing specified as to how the States are to select these electors. There is little commitment to democracy and, given our corruption on top of that, it's clear that we have a very defective democracy. And the second level, of course, is that we ignore the Constitution when it's too inconvenient.

The thing is, we desperately need a new constitution and the will to follow it. This will never happen.

Yeah, you mention Brzezinski. He convinced Carter to put the screws to the Soviet Union by arming and financing the extremists in Afghanistan. How'd that work out? Looking for a pair of Trade Towers in NYC? He had stated publicly that he was the first Pole in 300 years to put the screws to Russia. He ruined Carter's presidency. Carter had good options to make the world a safer place, instead he listened to Brzezinski. Same thing with Reagan and Richard Pearle. We might not be sitting in a world under a hair trigger of thermonuclear armageddon if it were not for Pearle. Reagan came within one item of agreement on a plan to eliminate nuclear weapons. That was SDI, or star wars. Gorbachev insisted that the project remain in the laboratory and that Space was not to be militarized. Pearle convinced Reagan to keep SDI and not sign the agreement. These asshole Neocons from the deep state have screwed us and civilization over and over again. Wait till Biden is in office. He will fill the War department with neocons, starting with Susan Rice.

Due Process; Lamenting the death of the rule of law in a country where it might have always been missing’, Lewis H. Lapham, laphamsquarterly.org

True law is right reason in agreement with nature.
—Cicero

Law is a flag, and gold is the wind that makes it wave.
—Russian proverb

To pick up on almost any story in the news these days—political, financial, sexual, or environmental—is to be informed in the opening monologue that the rule of law is vanished from the face of the American earth. So sayeth President Donald J. Trump, eight or nine times a day to his 47 million followers on Twitter. So sayeth also the plurality of expert witnesses in the court of principled opinion (media pundit, Never Trumper, think-tank sage, hashtag inspector of souls) testifying to the sad loss of America’s democracy, a once upon a time “government of laws and not of men.”

The funeral orations make a woeful noise unto the Lord, but it’s not clear the orators know what their words mean or how reliable are their powers of observation. The American earth groans under the weight of legal bureaucracy, the body politic so judiciously enwrapped and embalmed in rules, regulations, requirements, codes, and commandments that it bears comparison to the glorified mummy of a once upon a time great king in Egypt.

Senior statesmen and tenured Harvard professors say the rule of law has been missing for three generations, ever since President Richard Nixon’s bagmen removed it from a safe at the Watergate. If so, who can be expected to know what it looks like if and when it shows up with the ambulance at the scene of a crime? Does it come dressed as a man or a woman? Blue eyes and sweet smile riding a white horse? Black uniform, steel helmet, armed with assault rifle? Or maybe the rule of law isn’t lost but misplaced. Left under a chair on Capitol Hill, in a display case at the Smithsonian, scouting locations for Clint Eastwood’s next movie.

The confusion is in keeping with the trend of the times that elected Trump to the White House. In hope of clarification, this issue of Lapham’s Quarterly looks to the lessons of history. They are more hopeful than those available to the best of my own knowledge and recollection, which tend to recognize the rule of law as the politically correct term of art for the divine right of money.’

[long snip]

'The framers of the Constitution were of the same opinion. The prosperous and well-educated gentlemen assembled in Philadelphia in the summer of 1787 shared with John Adams the suspicion that “democracy will infallibly destroy all civilization,” agreed with James Madison that the turbulent passions of the common man lead to reckless agitation for the abolition of debts and “other wicked projects.” With Plato the framers shared the assumption that the best government, under no matter what name or flag, incorporates the means by which a privileged few arrange the distribution of property and law for the less fortunate many. They envisioned a wise and just oligarchy—to which they gave the name of a republic—managed by men like themselves, to whom Madison attributed “most wisdom to discern, and most virtue to pursue the common good of the society.” Adams thought the great functions of state should be reserved for “the rich, the wellborn, and the able”; John Jay, chief justice for the Supreme Court, observed that “those who own the country ought to govern it.”

says whatever the Supreme Court says it does.

If a Constitution requires X in a forest and no one is there to enforce that clause, does it make any noise when it is violated?

Smile It doesn't seem like it does.

But that seems to be a problem in these modern times, there are far far far too many laws on the books that don't even get lip service. We need a "law defragmenter/cleaner" that would clear out the cruft just like on a junked up hard drive that has had too many files copied and deleted on it.

.

The enforcers of this authoritarian US dystopia do recognize the interpreted rules and imaginary intentions of the Slave-Owners' Constitution, which has made our own indentured enslavement an easy reality. We are taught to blindly worship this obsolete and incomplete instrument of our own entrapment, while it has unleashed its pernicious evil upon the world.

Those whom we elect to discipline us and to crush our lives with arbitrary austerity, take an oath to follow, to the letter, the most recent 'official' interpretation of whatever the ever-diminishing capacity of the Supreme Court wants the constitution to mean. They are Citizens United behind Corporate greed and the Human Right to crony capitalism and inherited power.

Amazingly, the American People are unable to read the constitution with comprehension while holding a working model of our system of government in their mind, in order to understand what it does. They cannot see that it denies them every human right and replaces those rights with hallucinations and illogical abstractions about so-called 'Liberty', an other-worldly concept that no American can adequately define or analyze without inventing phantom enemies and paranoid threats. The US Constitution represents a set hideous mistakes that all other Constitutions in the world meticulously avoid or eventually delete.

That is the awful truth about American experiment. Count yourself among the blessed if you cannot see it.

Other than the utter nonsense about the World Trade Center, this wasn't a bad essay.

As for the WTC, do you really think buildings constructed by the lowest bidder in corrupt New York City using questionable methods that involved assembling prefabricated components into a framed tube structure (open floor plans uninterrupted by columns or walls) require nuclear detonation in order to fall down? Oh, and built under a new set of unapproved draft building codes?
