This is beyond shameful use of the troops who have died

The Lincoln project has become the slime it says it is fighting against. Shame on whoever thought this up.

Someone can suggest a better title for this. I’m too stunned to think of one.

I love it.

Blaming the Russians is cover for the Dems taking a purposeful fall in the upcoming presidential election. Putting up first Hillary and then Biden as the choice of the DNC, is all the proof you need that they never intended to win in 2016 and they certainly don't intend, and don't want to, win in 2020. Not that it matters either way, Biden or Trump or the DNC or the GOP, Wall Street and the Five Eyes win either way and are the ones steering the Titanic.

I’ve long wondered if Hillary took a dive so Trump could be the president in office when the great USA finally collapsed because of all the corruption like Rome did. Trump got his tax cuts done his first year in office and has been dismantling laws and regulations while congress has been passing heinous legislation at the expense of the lower classes and the Supreme Court has been allowing banks and corporations to strip whatever assets remained after Obama started the destruction of the middle class. Under the cover of COVID the country got shutdown and we know how congress passed the biggest transfer of wealth in history. States allowed nursing homes to be derelict in protecting the elderly in nursing homes and you can add in other ways this country is collaborating. Anyone think Hillary would have gotten away with what Trump and the republicans have been doing with help from democrats?

Trumps actions have been a great distraction from what congress has been doing as well as every government department. Kissinger wrote an article about how someone like Trump needed to happen just so he could do what he has been doing. I can’t find it now. I’ve looked hard for it but maybe it’s been scrubbed?

That this country is like the titanic is plain to see isn’t it? Trump is directing the band on deck whilst congress is directing the first class passengers into the life boats. I’m either being too cynical or I’ve had too much wine. Your choice.

Smile

Oh yeah...if democrats really wanted to win they would have backed Bernie instead of Herheinous because they knew people hated her. They’d have backed Bernie this time because they knew that Biden would lose to Trump. That they didn’t shows me that they are fine with what Trump is doing.

I was looking for it yesterday when my internet went down. Again. 2nd time in 2 days.

I am absolutely livid by both the Times story and this video because it is pure grade A bullshit, but on my wanderings around the web this morning I am seeing people are buying into the story 100% even though if you read the article there is no real there there. They believe? Is thought to have.....? This is exactly what the 1/06/17 IC report stated when it said all 17 intelligence agencies agree when it was only 3 people. I am also seeing stories of veterans being triggered by this. This really is beyond words and I am stunned that I am not seeing many sites questioning the story.

And for gawd's sake doesn't any of those who buy this remember SADDAM HAS WMDs? Why in the blue F would anyone believe what the intelligence agencies tell them? Gulf of Tonkin? THE MAINE??

Here is one more think we can thank Obama for. Making it legal for the government to lie to us. And hoo-boy they sure have been doing that haven't they?

Sometimes it seems like most people really don’t want to acknowledge how much bullshit we are being fed, by “both sides”. No one is even taking any pains to be clever about disguising it, they just keep slinging it in front of us, and we keep lapping it up. Ugh!

How many times have they floated some propaganda at us just to see if people would believe it? I bet they didn’t think Russia Gate would take hold as much as it did, but since they saw people swallowing it they knew they could keep adding on to it. This really should have gotten people to at least pause and questioned if its true or not, but again I’m hearing champagne bottles popping and people laughing. SMDH.

Still cannot believe this story got the legs it has.

And no multiple media outlets have not confirmed the story. The ones I am seeing today are all quoting the NYSLIMES which relied on a captured combatant? Did they torture the info out of him? Oh wait. Bush said the US does not torture and Obama walked forward into the future. Move along.

Other media have not confirmed what the NYSlimes said in its article. They are just reporting what the Slimes said and people are thinking that they are. Nope.

New York Times takes anti-Russian hysteria to new level with report on Russian ‘bounty’ for US troops in Afghanistan

The New York Times published an article claiming that Russia was paying out monetary bounties to the Taliban to kill US troops in Afghanistan. There’s just one problem — none of what they reported was true.

As news reporting goes, the New York Times article alleging that a top-secret unit within Russian military intelligence, or GRU, had offered a bounty to the Taliban for every US soldier killed in Afghanistan, was dynamite. The story was quickly “confirmed” by the Washington Post, the Wall Street Journal and other newspapers, and went on to take social media by storm. Twitter was on fire with angry pundits, former officials, and anti-Trump politicians (and their respective armies of followers) denouncing President Trump as a “traitor” and demanding immediate action against Russia.

There was just one problem — nothing in the New York Times could be corroborated. Indeed, there is no difference between the original reporting conducted by the New York Times, and the “confirming” reports published by the Washington Post and the Wall Street Journal. All of the reports contain caveats such as “if confirmed” and “if true,” while providing no analysis into the potential veracity of the information used to sustain the report — alleged debriefs of Afghan criminals and militants — or the underpinning logic, or lack thereof, of the information itself.

Never mind that Russia and the Taliban have denied that this happened. Even when people include their statements in their articles they just skip over that fact.

Also Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe is denying that neither Trump or Pence were informed by the intelligence agencies, but of course they aren't trustworthy right? Well there is the fact that Trump has lied tens of thousands of times. Boy/Wolf.

Perhaps the biggest clue concerning the fragility of the New York Times’ report is contained in the one sentence it provides about sourcing — “The intelligence assessment is said to be based at least in part on interrogations of captured Afghan militants and criminals.” That sentence contains almost everything one needs to know about the intelligence in question, including the fact that the source of the information is most likely the Afghan government as reported through CIA channels.

Trump does want to bring the troops out of Afghanistan, but whether he brings them home or sends them elsewhere remains to be seen. Good chance they too go to Poland along with the 9,500 troops being transferred from Germany. But who wants to keep them in Afghanistan? Might it be the CIA and resource extraction companies who want poppies, poppies, poppies and the oil and minerals that are there? Good chance of that.

Bottom line:

It does not take a rocket scientist to read between the lines of the New York Times’ thinly sourced report. The NDS, with or without CIA knowledge or consent, generated detainee-based intelligence reports designed to create and sustain a narrative that would be supportive of US military forces remaining in Afghanistan past 2021. The CIA case officer(s) handling these reports dutifully submit cables back to CIA Headquarters which provide the gist of the allegations — that Russia has placed a bounty on US soldiers. But there is no corroboration, nothing that would allow this raw “intelligence” to be turned into a product worthy of the name.

Once upon a time people would be thrilled to end a 20 year old useless war, but since it is Trump who wants to end it they are now against it. Nose/Face much?

The title says it all.

It is the US intelligence’s job to lie to you. NYT’s Afghan bounty story is CIA press release disguised as news

Whenever one sees a news headline ending in “US Intelligence Says”, one should always mentally replace everything that comes before it with “Blah blah blah we’re probably lying.”

Amen, Caitlin.

This Russia-Afghanistan Story Is Western Propaganda At Its Most Vile

All western mass media outlets are now shrieking about the story The New York Times first reported, citing zero evidence and naming zero sources, claiming intelligence says Russia paid out bounties to Taliban-linked fighters in Afghanistan for attacking the occupying forces of the US and its allies in Afghanistan. As of this writing, and probably forevermore, there have still been zero intelligence sources named and zero evidence provided for this claim.

As we discussed yesterday, the only correct response to unsubstantiated claims by anonymous spooks in a post-Iraq invasion world is to assume that they are lying until you’ve been provided with a mountain of hard, independently verifiable evidence to the contrary. The fact that The New York Times instead chose to uncritically parrot these evidence-free claims made by operatives within intelligence agencies with a known track record of lying about exactly these things is nothing short of journalistic malpractice. The fact that western media outlets are now unanimously regurgitating these still 100 percent baseless assertions is nothing short of state propaganda.

The consensus-manufacturing, Overton window-shrinking western propaganda apparatus has been in full swing with mass media outlets claiming on literally no basis whatsoever that they have confirmed one another’s “great reporting” on this completely unsubstantiated story.

“The Wall Street Journal and The Washington Post have confirmed our reporting,” the NYT story’s co-author Charlie Savage tweeted hours ago.

“We have confirmed the New York Times’ scoop: A Russian military spy unit offered bounties to Taliban-linked militants to attack coalition forces in Afghanistan,” tweeted The Washington Post‘s John Hudson.

“We matched The New York Times’ great reporting on how US intel has assessed that Russians paid Taliban to target US, coalition forces in Afg which is a pretty stunning development,” tweeted Wall Street Journal’s Gordon Lubold.

All three of these men are lying.

The comments are interesting.

Yes the Flynn case has gotten interesting hasn’t it? It should have never have gone as far as it did, but the judge bought into the Russian propaganda and Mueller nonsense. I’m stunned that even after the story broke about how Strzok set him up people are still calling him a traitor. And how about the congressional records taken during the impeachment hearings when the witnesses admitted that no they didn’t really see what they said they did on TV? Almost every one of them walked their statements back. And CrowdStrike admitted that they had no evidence that Russia hacked the DNC computers. None. This should have blown Russia Gate to pieces and yet here we are still dealing with it. F U Rachel for what you have done to this country. Scalps? No one else has used that word.

Will you be writing something about Flynn soon? I hope he can sue for malicious prosecution. Strzok, the FBI and the judge.

So a very weak based intel piece based on rumor is:

A: Highlighted by both the NYT and WP
B: Spun on social media as Trump doesn't care about soldiers.

The amount of people that were out in force supporting this was not usual. If Trump had credibility he could probably investigate this. But sadly he has been wounded by his idiocy.

But yes my B/S detector spun quickly when 4 different people posted the exact same thing at the same time.
