This is totally p*ssing me off
As of 8 pm today, the official state of Florida COVID-19 tracking website shows that there are 132,545 cases of COVID-19 in Florida. Slightly over two weeks ago, the average number of new cases per day was around 1,000. Then two weeks ago local newspapers were sounding the alarm because the new cases per day have suddenly jumped to over 1,500.
That was nothing. In just two short weeks, the number of confirmed cases per day in Florida jumped to over six times that of two weeks ago. As of 8 pm today, the number of new cases confirmed yesterday was 9,636! Compare that to just three days ago when the number of new cases hit a record high of 5,462. In other words, the number of cases is increasing rapidly in a state whose governor has followed the Trump method of denial. Luckily Florida is a home rule state which has allowed counties to set their own standards.
The video posted here is from Palm Beach County which has the third highest number of confirmed cases in Florida and the second highest number of deaths from COVID-19.
The single greatest step any of us can take to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and the future deaths from this disease is so simple. It is to wear a mask. The Mask prevents us from unknowingly spreading it to others while adding a measure of protection for ourselves.

From my experience here in Georgia, I think
there are those who feel that god is sorting out the human race. There is a county about an hour south of us where I have been getting my eggs and meat. The farmer sells once a week at a farmer’s market here in my town. At first she wore a mask, but now that Georgia has “opened up” she no longer does although she sells them. Her rural county had few deaths at first, but now has a higher death rate than our mor populous county. She is an evangelical and believes that god saved her farm earlier this year from a tornado that ripped up her county. She owns a MAGA hat.
I think her giving up the mask reflects her belief that god’s will should not the thwarted. Very scary.

Camps? Wow, here we go.
Sure, lets get the camps ready and lets cheer it on when citizens who do not buy in to the latest divide and conquer narrative with enough vigor are rounded up en masse and interned for "their own good." Never mind that it surely is true, at least mathematically, that the more you test the more cases you'll find, never mind that no one could ever state clearly whether a mask was really necessary or not, never mind that you could get the virus from touching something whether you had on a mask or not, you simply must comply with the latest feel good measure that will save all of us and "do your part." Never mind that death rates could very well be inflated, after all fear sells and we know our media will lie to us to keep us in a perpetual state of fear, not like that's ever been done before...
And for heavens sake, do not look at the agenda behind all this fear and loathing - divide up the masses and have them fight to the proverbial death over a fucking mask while our owners take this country into neo-feudal fascism. Just wear your mask and all will be good. And if you don't we have a camp all ready and waiting for you. Course, later on, once the mask is no longer the "problem" we'll find a whole lot of other people for the camps, you know which ones, the ones who don't believe that our owners really care about us, the ones who think voting for the latest great shining hope is a fallacy, the ones who don't buy into the latest fucking war for "our own good," you know, dissidents who want to see fact or logic before they believe what they are being told. USA, USA, USA!!!
Now all that said, I DO wear my mask every damned day. Perhaps that will save me from the camps, although what I just wrote could very surely see me end up in one when the time is right...
