So here it is, folks!
https://cassiodorusblog.wordpress.com/2016/03/10/a-glossary-of-cassiodor...
All of the reviews, and all of the links, have been transferred!
Okay, folks, now it's time for you to take your great content off of the Orange, and put it somewhere where it doesn't justify Markos Moulitsas' advertising revenues!

Nice job and a good point...
People with content on DailyKos should, at least, back it up. I wouldn't want to be dependent on Kos for access to anything I cared about.

I'm leaving out the whining and annoying diaries. And it's sort of in the order that I find them most enjoyable, because I decided to take a cue from how Bill Mauldin did Up Front.
I do not pretend I know what I do not know.
WHAT?
That's one of your best features, detroit.
AB started reading something you wrote about "entrepreneurial something something" but got distracted. Been a busy day.
You been charging people to write on your body? Cleeeeever. Wish Ab'd thought that.

Nice! What's that page template btw?
Nice and plain, I like it.
I've wondered about saving out my comments and messages, too. Should we, as a group, think about saving our content in one specific place, with an identifier tag,so that for example people could search on say, 'WordPress [tag/subtag] ' to find all saved DK material by one person or on one subject?
I was heavily involved in three serious, long term political discussions (which we were taught to call 'Flame Wars). While writing in those threads, I kept seeing scholars of the future scouring those threads as historical documents while writing their doctoral theses.
Just a thought . . .
I started with "publication"
I'm going to experiment with various other ones until I settle on one.
The big work pretty soon will be in going through the rest of the 400+ diaries to decide what to keep and what merely to delete. Good luck deciding what to do with flame wars!

IMO, the three flame wars I was in are important historical
documents that will be of real value to historical scholars. So if I find time I'll save them.
glad you did this, cass.

we all have to save stuff from DK... that is one of my goals
there is some stuff that I don't care about and some stuff that I do. And this is on my 'to do' list: to save those that I do care about.

agree, Sea Turtle.
it's just going over there and doing it...

You got me excited. It's
You got me excited. It's taking a lot of work, updating all the broken links, but so far I have two of my diaries on DKos moved over to my new blog on Wordpress: penspages.wordpress.com
go there and read some rather old, but still informative diaries. Two so far:
Niger Yellowcake and the Man Who Forged Too Much
And The Usual Suspects Pt 1: Richard Perle, the Prince of Darkness
I'll be posting the entire Usual Suspects series up this week. Anything else I can post up I will. Can't delete my posts on DKos, however, since they long ago banned me for pointing out they are a Lie Factory run by the CIA.
I'm such a dweeb: how do you do that?
And I actually would like to go through some of my comments: they have been a way of journaling for me over the last several years. Comments like, "that's great" of course I'll leave. But Rock Crusher threads were hilarious.
Anyways, any tips muchly appreciated. Oh and including photos for some diaries which were illustrations. Mostly my own. Links?
Thanks again.

First get a WordPress account
Then start creating blog entries. Find the page on Daily Kos for your diary history. Go to the diaries you want to save, copy them, and paste them onto your new WordPress blog entries. Create some sort of filing system for the new blog entries so you can find them if you want to.

Pls explain how to get a WordPress acct and how to do the
transfer of diaries.... did you transfer comments? what?

It should be self-evident -- I suppose if you had questions you could ask them here.
