"Bernie Blackout: The Revolution Will Not Be Televised”
Director Pat McGee’s new feature film, “Bernie Blackout” premieres May 13 at 8pm on Vice. The film follows the revolutionary Bernie Sanders campaign and the hostile cable news narratives that surrounded it.
Now I’m slightly biased because I worked on the film as a producer. But I can say quite confidently that “Bernie Blackout” is by far the best feature length documentary on the Bernie Sanders campaign ever made. (It is also the first!)
So buckle up brothers, sisters, and anyone who can figure out how to watch a show on the VICE TV channel. It’s a wild ride. Highlights include:
- Former MSNBC employees, Krystal Ball, Jeff Cohen, and Ed Schulz (RIP) share just how things operate behind the scenes in cable news.
- Harvard data scientist Jeff Winchell performs an epic hard data debunking of the hateful “Bernie Bro” myth, once and for all.
- Alex Jones crashes a Bernie rally and joins MSNBC in smearing Bernie Sanders as a dangerous communist. (Funny how much Info Wars and MSNBC have in common…)
I tried embedding the video from VICE but no Luck and it won't play on my old MAC. JtC if someone posts it could you please edit my essay and include it in the main body?

Yeah color me skepitcal too
Continuing to vote for democrats tells them that they can do whatever they want to us and instead of us holding them accountable for it we are just telling them, "Thank you, can I have more of nothing that will make our lives better?"
Nope. I refused to vote for Obama after he sold us out on the retroactive permission of Bush illegally spying on us when he did not filibuster the FISA bill as he said he would. Good call on my part because we know what he went on to do for the rest of his 8 years of selling us out to the elite class.
Many people are saying that they are done with the democrats too. For this reason and many others. Why stay in an abusive relationship when you have finally seen that you have other options? It is time because I know that democrats WANT TRUMP TO WIN, not that they would rather he would. Their job was to get Bernie to quit and then for gawd's sake they are backing a candidate that has too many issues and is directly responsible for the reasons we got Trump in the first place. Many Trump voters said they had been left behind economically, but of course some want to say it was only because they were racists. Whatever....

Good company...
I too, broke from Obama with the telecom immunity betrayal, saw where he was going, & got it right.
The movie on Vice requires a cable account sign-in, so I'm locked out.

Well that’s shocking
Lol put out a important video and then make it inaccessible for free or too do something that keeps people from seeing it.
I have a friend who let me have access to his account number. But...
Thanks for letting us know why we can’t see it. But then Bernie is going on lots of the same shows that denigrated him for 4 years. Who was it that said "he gives me the creeps!"?

Here's How You Can Watch "Bernie Blackout" on Vice TV

Thanks for posting the Vice TV link above, snoopy. Here's how I watched "Bernie Blackout" using the provided link.
In February and March, I went to help Bernie in New Hampshire and South Carolina and also did so in nearby Northern VA before Super Tuesday on March 3rd. DC doesn't have its primary until June 2nd. The themes in this documentary are very familiar to me. And in more ways than one, extremely frustrating. I was actually quite angry after I watched the full documentary. The corrupt corporatocracy is just that and not an easy opponent.
Bernie would have made one hell of a good President of the United States!

Krystal nailed it

“Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable." ~ President John F. Kennedy
He did
He didn’t actually debate anyone this time. He’d get a question and just deliver his stump speech that everyone could repeat with him instead of going after Biden for the bills he got passed. He could have told people that the reason they can’t discharge their student loans because of Biden’s bankruptcy bill. Or any of the many other bills that hurt the working class... but his biggest dumb 'mistake' if it was one was saying that of course Biden could beat Trump. The answer should have been, "if Biden becomes president then he will just continue with the failed policies that gave us Trump."

I just watched Krystal's video analysis
Of what Bernie did and how depressing it was... and still is. She absolutely nailed it. I also saw part of the documentary until VICE cut me off. It did make me feel like crying looking at all those rally photos, etc. I have a whole box of Bernie art... photos of paintings of Bernie, barns and buildings with his image on them. I still am in shock at not only how fast the whole thing fell apart, but how Bernie himself behaved at the end.
