So Spaketh A Hillary Mouthpiece
Please be more polite, Mr. Sanders
Please attempt to upgrade your tone
It's felt you should show greater deference
To she who is heir to the throne.
Please show more respect, Mr. Sanders
Don't be too proud to bend at the knee
Be mindful that you're in the presence
Of America's own royalty.
Please don't poison young minds, Mr. Sanders
You've made way too much of a fuss
Just remember those crusaders you're leading
When you're done will revert back to us.
Time to fall into line, Mr. Sanders
Soon you will need our support
So please don't lash out too hard at the system
That ensures you'll be coming up short.
You've made quite a splash, Mr Sanders
And we thank you for playing the game
But the rules of the house guarantee
That the outcome is always the same.

There is nothing which I dread so much as a division of the republic into two great parties.. This...is to be dreaded as the greatest political evil under our Constitution.--John Adams

I was humming a little tune
while reading that -- could easily be set to music. The Reformed Whores could do a wonderful job with it if they chose.
Funny you should mention that...
because there was a song running through my mind as I was writing it, which was Jethro Tull's Back To The Family. So the structure and rhythm of that song definitely had an influence on the poem.

Nice...
I'm noticing that Poetry gets a nice response here.
Which makes me happy.
Anything that creates emotion is a good thing to me, and this summons a bit of wry humor which I like.
I do not pretend I know what I do not know.
