It is raining this morning here on meteorological day. Do you know what meteorologist means?

My Spanish-speaking next-door neighbor has a joke.
In Spanish, meteorologist = meteorologo, liar = mentiroso,
hence mentirologo, liarologist.

government and press ought to keep los mentirologos overly busy and worn out. Always remember that weathermen are vastly more accurate than economists, if only in that they can agree about the past.

the parasites who "financialized" everything in order to earn speculative returns without doing or creating anything useful are seeing phony paper gains not based on assets or earnings vanish. Awww, poor pitiful them.

Meteorology is and takes too much work - I learned that as a kid and stayed away from it. AND, that was back when the science and understanding was growing ever faster, before and until we ran into fractals and chaos theory. Urk, how is a taffy machine like a cumulonimbus cloud and do you really want to go there? heh.

[Note to self: devote some "random" wednesday to "strange attractors" and include bad jokes and music.]

A cool, cloudy morning, today. We've been having an inordinate amount of rain for our high desert area and more is expected today, with more coming Thursday and Friday. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to have the rain, but it is so unusual. Climate change in our area is apparent! Meteorological day, indeed!

Thanks for the tunes today - they really resonated with me and some made me smile!

Enjoy your day, everyone and remember to be present in your life! Pleasantry

is more of a mess and shambles than usual and far, far worse than his "studio", but I do have a small closet lined with pretty good wine. (It's also loaded with spuds and such, it is centrally located in a non air conditioned house and is the easiest place for us to achieve some semblance of temperature stability).

@enhydra lutris @JtC
and the second Ms. Otis regrets is something for my grandmother, because my mother was too youngish and busy surviving, when Marlene messed up American hearts. Sometimes I regret to not have lived through wwII times. I would have been wiser for sure for all the experiences my parents and grandparents must have had (but never talked about and they all died too early or I was born too late, whatever comes first)

Thank You. I love the songs.

I know only Otis Redding. He messed with my heart. Somebody had to do it. Yes 3 Yes 3

Been raining here all night and for the last couple of days. Live in an area with a lot of trees so the pollen count is off the charts. Commiserating with friends about not knowing if it's our allergies that's giving us intermittent sore throats and the odd cough, or if we've come down with the dreaded "rona" virus. This has been going on, off and on, for the last two weeks, and I'll tell ya, freaking out has now become the new norm. Sigh. I long for the days when I just hated Pete Buttigieg.

Hope all is well with you.

almost never take them. I do trance out a lot now and then, I guess, so maybe that's the same thing.

Got an e-mail this morning that JazzRadio.com had renovated some of the stations I listen to, so I spent a chunk of the day listening to Paris Cafe and Bossa Nova, among others, before running over to Joe's saloon for my daily dose of the Evening Blues. I guess it's just a day for music. Thanks for the clip.
