I made the mistake
Of listening to him yesterday and all I learned was that he is clueless and treating this as a political situation. That mixed with the outright lies allowed me to observe myself getting stupider in real time.
Never again. I live on the other side of the country and we are just ignoring him. I suggest others do the same.

You should watch a replay of today's Presidential address
Minimal politics today in the Q & A. Possibly that was prearranged with the press that no politically-based questions be asked. Amazingly, only one was, suggesting a sluggish governmental response. True, it was sluggish but Trump is leading his team lurching forward on an improving trajectory. Many questions may occur to you and other questions you already have might be answered by watching that. Get over your Trump loathing long enough to absorb the medical plan. Then you can more knowingly complain.
As I have been saying, and as many of us here have been saying: this situation is rapidly changing. Hour to hour changes would not be an exaggeration. As a physician, I will say that I still believe Trump is on the correct path. Better slow than no progress at all. Watch the speech. Then get back to me if you will. Thanks.

Warning: I am not an infectious disease expert
It is my impression that this is indeed possible. Co-infections with more than one organisms occur all the time. Clearest example, and the tanker of many lives is bacterial infection superimposed upon viral pneumonia. As far as co-infection by two different viruses concurrently--I would have to research this. PubMed is a great source even for non-medical types to consult. They use the special language called MeSH. This is an abbreviation for Medical Subject Headings.

To obtain good search results on less common situations, very careful wording should be used. If a query returns no hits, then research how your query was translated to MeSH. This is generally in a right sided side bar mnear the top of the first search page. Very often, I struggle to get the appropriate wording. Have at it. It can be challenging.

Demonstrating what precautions most of us might utilize, in this situation, would destroy the public confidence of disease undergoing containment and control. A good way to panic the general public, which I guarantee, is not following this other than MSM alarmism (some of it justified) would be to wipe off the microphone before each passing, to wear gloves, to wear facemarks. This is what political junkies like to call "optics".
Physicians will not be in charge of the coronovirus response.
Our "GREAT" corporations filled with MBA's (Master of Business Administration) at the helm will be leading the efforts in testing, response to community needs and treatments. Google will be the gatekeeper though software algorithms which we will all need to traverse. National Guard will be used to maintain order.
Professional Associations have been bypassed in deference to the largest national corporations of each healthcare segment. State professional board will not have input into care quality or flow of information. Small businesses and individual practitioners need to follow orders to have any possibility of survival. The physician-patient relationship may be taking a fatal hit. Pharmacist's lost their relationship with patients with the implementation of Medicare part D.
