International Criminal Court to finally expose U.S. war crimes in Afghanistan

The International Criminal Court has finally shown some backbone, many years too late, but better than never.

The International Criminal Court has cleared the way for its prosecutor to investigate possible war crimes and crimes against humanity in Afghanistan, including those allegedly committed by U.S. forces and the CIA.

U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo blasted the decision, calling it a "breathtaking action by an unaccountable political institution, masquerading as a legal body."

"We're going to take all the appropriate actions to ensure that American citizens are not hauled before this political body to settle political vendettas," Pompeo said. The U.S. is not a party to the court in The Hague, Netherlands, and has long criticized it.

A panel of judges from the court's Appeals Chamber decided unanimously on Thursday to allow the ICC prosecutor to investigate possible crimes on Afghan territory since May 2003 and other alleged crimes linked to the situation there since July 2002. It comes just days after the U.S. and the Taliban signed a historic deal, raising hopes for peace in the country after nearly 20 years of war.

It's still possible that Dick Cheney, Bush, Obama, Biden, and Trump could be wanted international criminals. Wouldn't that be sweet?
Just the thought of that gives me warm, fuzzy feelings.

US President Donald Trump's administration imposed travel restrictions and other sanctions against ICC employees a year ago, in the wake of strong criticism by then-national security advisor John Bolton.

The ICC actually didn't have a choice. Most of the countries of Africa were threatening to leave the court unless it prosecuted a powerful western (aka white) nation.

You may be asking yourself, "Is there any actual evidence of war crimes?"

Since the International Criminal Court began collecting material three months ago for a possible war crimes case involving Afghanistan, it has gotten a staggering 1.17 million statements from Afghans who say they were victims.

Not hundreds. Not thousands. But 1.17 MILLION collected in just 3 months.

This comes just a couple months after the ICC decided to prosecute Israel for their war crimes.

That's a one-size fits all description for a lot of nefarious groups and agencies in the U.S..

In fairness, I guess there's not much point when you don't cast a reflection.*

I sent him Tulsi's tweet.

This is why she has been excluded from the debates. The uninformed Americans might just learn the truth about what's happening in Syria.

Which AIPAC/MIC/pharma/bank bought politician are you going to vote for? Don’t be surprised when nothing changes.
