Things I learned from the Dem Debate (12/19)
To combat global warming, Amy Klobuchar wants to build a 'fridge to the next century', presumably to cryogenically freeze the Dem establishment and preserve its uselessness well past the 2100 primaries.
Joe Biden wants to take America 'Beyond Normal', which sounds a lot like the title of a Steven King novel.
Andrew Yang has Jazz Hands.
Liz Warren and Judy Woodruff play on the same DC softball team.
In the future, they need to spread out the space between the podiums. Otherwise Bernie might end up hurting somebody.
For Tom Steyer, nothing says 'Man of the People' quite like an argyle neck tie.
Pete Buttigieg can't understand why everyone is so upset about the wine cave. After all, whining and caving to the rich has been the Dems' strategy for at least thirty years now.

That TRIPPY background...
After watching the whole debate, I found myself with this strange, uncontrollable urge to play Frogger.
The current working assumption appears to be that our Shroedinger's Cat system is still alive. But what if we all suspect it's not, and the real problem is we just can't bring ourselves to open the box?

Thanks for this!
I haven’t laughed that hard in weeks. We need more of that in these times.

Maybe not space the podiums. Bernie might just knock a couple of people out of the race that way. Tyvm...

Cut to the Chase.
Who won? That is all we care about. Of course who is saying who won is probably more important.
In a seven person debate...
It's not so much about who wins but who loses.
Overall, Amy Klobuchar probably had the best night, based mostly on a much improved speaking style. Whereas in previous debates her painfully nervous delivery was like listening to juddering brakes on an unpaved road, for this debate she was able to install some sort of ABS system.
She still had to close her eyes tight to remember the three countries in NAFTA, but found her confidence once she started laying into Pete.

and hilarious! Beyond Normal is now my new nickname for Joe Biden.
Huh?
'Beyond Normal'
Who knew Joe was such a philosopher? I'm still muddling that one over.
As an added bonus, Joe has now found a great ad slogan for an after-primary endorsement of incontinence pills.

That commercial was THE BEST
I'll give Beyond Normal Joe this: compared to his other appearances, his debate performance was a win for him. He seemed coherent (for him) and like he at least knew what was going on.
Joe's best debate until...
late in the evening when he decided to wow the audience by imitating a stuttering child.
Cringe worthy on so many levels.

Can't blame Pete for millionaire envy
Everyone on the stage is a millionaire but he. And what is he doing hanging out with a bunch of millionaires anyway? Did the stage look like a wine cave?
Can I watch the whole debate unedited somewhere?
I can't find it so far.

I liked Bernie's 1:17
spiel that referenced the
Billionaire Donor Count:
Joe Biden (44)
Pete Buttigieg (39)
Elizabeth Warren (6)
Bernie Sanders (0)
and emphasized the need to get money out of politics. I am a bit disgusted that far too many of my fellow americans are just fine with the unbridled grifting that characterizes politics.
I have updated my website (www.RipPhysics.com) to highlight this PBS NEWS HOUR video clip.

This was very funny!
Next post, please, please say something about the intermittent PBS "punditry" inserting their right-wing "analysis" of the debaters? "Let's have a shot of the spin room, shall we?"
