Did she mean to ask Joe that question?
Cr@p debate
Lame questions, letting the low pollers eat up too much time, ignoring Bernie, giving Warren all the opportunities.
Once upon a time you would have agreed with her
I wonder if kos knows that the democrats just helped republicans screw us or knows about the re-up of the patriot act?

Absolutely toxic over there - their censorship would put Facebook/Twitter/Youtube/Google to shame yet they are forever whining about the dire situation of independent media when trying to hit you up for $$.
When they ban someone they disappear their offending comments and responses, too - so it appears that no controversy ever existed nor unauthorized ideas expressed...
Guess Kos learned something from his El Salvador experiences...
Independent media? Independent--like not dependent?
Speaking of Kos and Kamala ...
https://www.legalreader.com/california-becerra-catholic-church-child-sex...
The current Califonia AG, Becerra, Harris' successor in the post, is asking for records from 12 dioceses going back to 1996, covering Harris' time as AG as well as DA in SF, where the late Cardinal Levada was reportedly involved in a cover-up of the priest child abuse scandals.
I'd say Kamala was lucky that Tulsi didn't hit her on this in the July debate, but keep in mind the moderators cut her off after 60 seconds or so, and it was such a long litany of criminal justice/injustice issues to cover (and by the way, I'm wondering how long it will take the State to complete the DNA testing ordered by Gov. Newsom in the Cooper case back in Feb. -- maybe it gets delayed until after Kamala is knocked out of the race?)
Here's the Tulsi/Harris exchange for those who can't watch vid
Gabbard continued to talk about the need to change our foreign policy of “regime change wars,” as well as building up infrastructure at home. But it was the opening part of the statement that Sen. Kamala Harris was responding to when asked if she had something to say about Gabbard’s opinion of the Democratic Party.
From what I understand Tulsi went to talk to Trump about the Syrian war, but for dawg's sake people from both parties have served in every administration. Gates who Obama let continue being head of DHS (?) or some other department was a republican. I read that that department had a republican head for a very long time. Sorry I can't quite tie this up better, but there is no rule that says what Tulsi did was wrong.
And someone in NKH's essay said that after the debate Harris spoke to someone on Fox Snooze. Obama himself went on Fox and no one blinked an eye then. If you're running for president then why wouldn't you want to talk to people who watch tv regardless of the medium? At least Tulsi wasn't hiding her talks on YouTube like Obama did when he was spanking congress for not helping him pass his agenda. But then he never called out the GOP during those chatty little talks now did he?
Imagine someone saying this to Hillary 3 years ago:
Fuck off Tulsi and go the fuck away! Why the fuck is she even on this stage???
Or this:
Tulsi is a lying POS.
Russia stooge. Russian asset. Working directly with Russia. Is committing treason... the list goes on.

So how did people respond to her statement?

Beautiful comment.
Heh Obama endorses Bernie
He must not have liked all the flack he got. Here is your chance to make up for your sellout. Do endorse Bernie for real and let's get this ball rolling.
Groan! Lots of people are griping about this question.
heh, the live stream of the debate doesn't
stream down to Germany, all I get is silence on what is supposedly a live stream.
Who is a plant according to Markos? Tulsi? Markos showed himself up proudly in uniform when he was a young guy and when it came to his "service" he remembered being in Germany and eating German pastry, which apparently he liked a lot. And then he liked himself in a role of a little punk. I have the pictures somewhere. So. Gimme a break. This crap has to stop one day.
Uh, and nothing more gawdawful than women who 'compete' against each other for a leadership role. Yack. I think I should be grateful for not being able to watch the debate, or what?
https://www.euronews.com/live
Definitely, be grateful.
I haven't been able to bring myself to watch any of the debates live. The thought of participating in that psy-op-in-the-form-of-a-contrived-spectacle is unbearable to me.
I read the live commentary on blogs, and then watch portions of the debate after it's over.

I've seen lots of changes. What doesn't change is people. Same old hairless apes.
I can't watch anything with Russia Maddow on it
At the age of 69 I'm not in a hurry to get started on needing blood pressure medication like almost all of my fellow geezers so I did what Ive done since I was a teenager, go to the pool hall and drink cheap beer (when I got old enough).
I live in Washington State in a town on the coast just twenty miles from the Canadian border and it is considered a liberal town, where in fact we just elected for mayor someone who was part of the 'occupy' movement and there is a the University but in the outlying areas tRump did very well.
However last night even with all the televisions spread around the place the bumper sticker joust wasn't on any of them, nor did I hear anyone mention anything about it.
This includes some of the young University students that I know are politically active because I've not only overheard them but because one of them approached me one night, lit like Christmas, but felt he had to tell me about all Bernie Sanders' promise to erase student debt and what that means to him and all his friends them all.
Yes there were a lot of students there last night that were not at home or a dorm watching it, so maybe it's about the very cheap drinks on Wednesday or because they weren't interested in it, or maybe it's for both reasons. Either way nothing was said about that big event on TV last night.
As for me I've missed all of the so-called 'debates' that are more like a bumper sticker contest and when I read transcripts and watch clips of the show the following days I don't regret the decision.
However if they ever did a have a real debate I might tune in but not if the people doing the 'moderating' are a group like last night, especially if it included Joe McCarthy's love child, Russia Maddow
Pardon the long rant.
Good rant though
The debates have been worthless for years and I'm not sure why people still watch them to learn anything from the candidates. No serious issues are discussed like foreign policy and the rising income inequality, etc. They get cut off just as they are making their points. Just rude and so much like kindergarten behavior.

Here's to beers in Bellingham and communication with the younger generation...
One night one student was surprised
Oh well, I remember when I was a teenager being pleasantly surprised seeing 'old people' at protests against the war on Vietnam.
Wow,I suddenly remembered the best anti Dick Nixon graffiti I ever saw in a campus bathroom stall and I never saw it anywhere else but maybe other saw or heard the same thing.
Why switch dicks in the middle of a screw vote for Nixon in '72!

At least I didn't have to drink that yucky stuff!
I've seen lots of changes. What doesn't change is people. Same old hairless apes.
It was not as good as cheap brandy
as of an hour or so ago
Video of the entire debate was still not available on Youtube - better to control the narrative, you know.
That way anyone who didn't watch it live (not much of an option for those of us outside the US) have to settle for MSM asserting that Kamala kicked Tulsi's ass, MSM knowing that most people won't bother to go back and check to see if the reality was otherwise...
Tulsi spoke about Harris' policies
Harris attacked Tulsi personally. Yeah I think that she got to do that with permission from the DNC just so she could get some knocks in, but I'm reading that it backfired on her. I think people dislike Tulsi because she took down Harris just like they still dislike Bernie because he called out Hillary's grafting. Or is it grifting?
Bingo
That's all folks. Apparently this was the most boring debate ever. I didn't watch it but did anyone learn anything new tonight? BTW..remember that Bernie is not a democrat and Tulsi is a Russian asset.
Wait. What?
He can claim to be independent but not a democrat?
Her's gonna be pissed.
Regardless of the path in life I chose, I realize it's always forward, never straight.
what would be about time ... /nt
https://www.euronews.com/live
Yep
Not a democrat but only votes with them most of the time and he helped create the progressive black caucus. But other than that? This talking point should have been put to rest by now, but....

Tulsi won the debate.
No question.
We wanted decent healthcare, a living wage and free college.

Tulsi wins
every time a corporate media or DNC bozo opens their mouth and calls her a "Russian asset".
Do the Dems and the MSM really not understand that fact?

MSNBC says winners were Biden, Boot, Harris
unbelievable....
Biden once again forgot where he was, Harris slipped in and out of dialect and Boot thinks the entire world should be like small town America.
ByeDone sent out a tweet 5 hours before the debate
saying that he was working on a plan for that. lol.. he was asked how he'd get republicans to work with him and he went off on another tangent and never answered the question. But sure he won the debate.
Biden forgot where he was in time
Proof that Bye Done is ahead of the times !
My three "winners" ...
The other candidates, IMHO, could only spout platitudes, BS, and total lack of substance.
Hillary is leading the polls
Tee hee
Cute
But I need an updated, upright picture of hill.
Can she still walk? As in walk the talk?
Regardless of the path in life I chose, I realize it's always forward, never straight.
I'm not sure
The last picture of her I saw was of her sitting in a chair and it looked like she didn't have a neck. Giggle..I wish I had saved that. She looked like the Mike Myers character.
Kind of like this?

I'm surprised Joe didn't say:
"...but you're so clean and articulate."
First off I can't believe Rachel asked that question
Hey Warren how many of your kids have served in the military? If you have no skin in the game you shouldn't get to send people off to kill and die for you.
send both Maddow and Warren into a combat war zone
may be then both would shut up and think before talking.

Maybe they could land under sniper fire in Bosnia.
Hillary just fast-forwarded to PTSD.
You watched so I didn't have to
Thanks for the comments everyone. It sounds like this went pretty much as I expected. I might check the Biden highlight reel. I've been real suspicious about how much they've been keeping him out of the public eye lately (ala HER) and it sounds like there's something to that. Other than a little schadenfreude there, doesn't sound like there's anything I need to see.
Idolizing a politician is like believing the stripper really likes you.
Here is one Biden highlight
This is from him saying that he has support from the only black woman elected to congress. Harris cracks up.
Re: Tulsi
Some commenters have said that Tulsi was not on her A game last night. That is probably due to the fact that she had been sick all week (bad cold or flu) and was feeling very poorly at the debate.
Do I hear the sound of guillotines being constructed?
“Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable." ~ President John F. Kennedy
Makes Sense ...
I need to pivot to a point I've made before, namely about how how tough it is to make these nuanced points about FP which has received little attention in these debates where everything is encapsulated in 90-sec sound bites. If one goes back to the first serious Presidential debates (Kennedy-Nixon 1960), you'd see the answers were 3 to 5 min. in length, much more time to develop a nuanced FP argument.
Also, not sure the Mexico remark was the weak Achilles heel area for Booty; to me, it's still the fact he's run a racist police Dept. in South Bend for the last 7 1/2 years plus the more recent revelation that he misrepresented support for his BS "Frederick Douglass plan." This kind of record should be disqualifying, IMHO. Of course, the people who were better positioned to do this -- Booker and Harris -- both declined to take the shot, Harris probably because, like Mayo Pete, she's part of the corporate Dem establishment, whereas for Booker, it was really his last chance as I don't see him getting the poll numbers to make the next debate.
Finally, glad to see Tulsi sticking up for a fellow anti-Establishment candidate, Yang, about the lack of equal speaking time both were allotted by the moderators. Kind of a nice return of the favor since Yang was the first Dem candidate to back her up versus the HRC smears.
Even more effective
Or she could have added how Nancy Pelosi went to meet with Assad in 2007, against the wishes of our FP Establishment.
Interesting how times have changed in just a decade. Now Dems run to hide behind the MIC-driven safe cold war rhetoric of faux toughness and stupidity. I don't believe half of them actually believe what they're saying, but they say it out of political cowardice.
As for Harris not going after Pete: Given her low poll numbers and Pete's high ones, she might have been thinking not to screw things up in case he needed some AA cover as his VP pick.
Good points all ...
Reverse is kind of true today. In 2004 through 2008, when the Iraq War was Bush's war, it was OK for Dems to be anti-war even though it was Dem votes in 2002 that pushed through the authorization for military action. When Obama became President, the situation was more ambiguous, particularly with Clinton running the State Dept. Intervention in places like Libya and Syria were suddenly OK. Now, with Trump in charge, well if Trump starts talking about pulling troops out of Syria or initiating talks with the guy in No. Korea, then those pro-peace, anti-war like moves are not cool with the mainstream Dems. So, what we see now is more Dem party mainstream hypocrisy, and after last night's debate, I see Harris and Booty as reflecting that view, Tulsi and Bernie standing on the opposite, and Warren finding a nice fence to straddle.

Everything Tulsi Gabbard said during the Democratic debate in Atlanta
Everything Bernie Sanders said during the Democratic debate in Atlanta
Thank you THAT is all I needed
thanks, lotlizard, did I hear that correctly?
That Harris attacked Tulsi for having criticized Obama, slipping in a little hint that Tulsi might be a on the wrong side with regard to the racial divide.
Gabbard was asked. She said that it was very unfortunate to have a presidential candidate in Tusli, one that criticized Obame during his first years.
I remember well that I felt back then it to be difficult to criticize Obama as to not being accused of racial prejuidices. Tulsi was quite intelligent to not bite and did not say that Harris 'continues to traffick in racially insulting smears', but gracefully just said that Harris trafficks in 'lies'. I guess Harris thought Gabbard was not black enough, remembering that back in the days, people were wondering about Obama not being black enough. Now it seems as if all of the candidates are too white. Oh my, oh lord ... forgive me. /s
How 'nice' for a black woman to criticize another woman of color for criticizing a black President. May be I didn't get it right. But I think that's the last time I listen to Harris.

Re: Harris
Last night, I give Bootyjizz some credit, when put under pressure from Tulsi and also on the experience question, he did some nice bobbing and weaving, but substantially, he offers nothing but platitudes and loads of mainstream Dem BS and, in my view, his background with the racist SBPD is disqualifying, and I hope voters will see through that.
Mayo Pete's dig at her meeting Assad
backfired on him big time didn't it?
"When you are commander in chief you have to meet with people whether you like them or not."
