How Bernie Wins!
With 247 delegates at stake, New York is a prize not to miss. This Superstate is undoubtedly the key to a Bernie Sanders nomination and presidency. Bernie, no doubt, is going to win the vast majority of the delegates at stake in the West and cut significantly into Hillary’s lead. If Bernie then goes on to win New York and California, the two Superstates, then he has the nomination locked in. But it gets even better. Bernie has a full two weeks to campaign in one state! It has been shown again and again, that when voters have a lot of time to get to Bernie, they prefer him and not Clinton. In Michigan, he had one week to campaign in one state and he made a major comeback win that was called the greatest political upset in history. Now he has two weeks to campaign in one all-important state. Now, if that’s not enough, Bernie’s childhood upbringing in Brooklyn and his thick New York accent should put him over Hillary’s New York senate seat (she had no personal ties to New York before that). Here’s what Bernie has to say:
“Today our Targeting Analyst, Ben Muirhead, came over to my desk and told me that we can win New York State – a critical upcoming contest, with 247 pledged delegates at stake – but we need to register 13,000 more new New York voters in time for the deadline, which is TOMORROW, March 25th.
We've done the math, and if one thousand of you get on the phones this afternoon and evening for two to three hours each to call unregistered New Yorkers, we can hit this goal.
Since February 1st, in every primary or caucus where we’ve won or picked up significant delegates, the participation of new and young voters has been essential. In the states coming up, we can do very well if we focus our efforts on expanding the electorate, and then make sure those new voters turn out.
Time is short, and our goal is big, but it’s nothing compared to what this movement has already accomplished.
Make calls now to help us meet our New York voter registration goal.
Thank you for all you do.
In solidarity,
Claire Sandberg Bernie 2016”
If we win New York and then California, then you can start getting used to saying President Bernie and kiss income inequality, global warming, and skyrocketing student debt goodbye. Today, we have the opportunity to elect a real progressive who has been fighting for the same causes—even using the same words—since the 1980s. Remember, Bernie doesn’t take 3 billion dollars in donations from special interests. (www.washingtonpost.com/...).

Risk in NY
I'm concerned about NY for a couple of reasons.
First its a closed primary. If you aren't registered as a democrat by tomorrow you can't vote in the primary next month! (The campaign is looking for callers to get folks signed up, and they can register to vote online.)
Second issue is that the party controls the primary, and the Clintons will play every trick in the book from limiting and even blocking polling places where Bernie has strong support to cutting people off the voter rolls. They have deep ties in NY where locals can pull dirty tricks for them. Remember AZ? Maybe we can call in UN voting observers.

Hey GreyWolf,
Thanks for posting these links. Now if we could only get MSM to publicize this info!

the reaction to this is -- HOW DARE THEY? THAT'S CHEATING!
::wanders off shaking head:: I spent the past five months or so getting over 50 people to register to vote -- poor, minority, millennials, elderly, fed up people who have health care and survival on their minds.
