Well, after a short amount of time maybe. You have pissed me off as well. You think that a hawk strategy is the worst?
Trade Deals, More interventionist strategies that exacerbate human rights and conflict in the world, the enabling of brutal dictators in their coups against democracies in the world, a complete failure of climate change mitigation efforts that will absolutely doom your children and a turn-on-your-heal spin away from the wan progressive promises that were made during the campaign to court the youth vote is what you will end up with.
Is that Greywolfe, and anyone else whom the Great Orange Sellout bans but then has second thoughts about, NEVER goes back. Boo-hoo, Kos, your site traffic and ad revenue are taking a hit? Maybe you should have had some foresight ...

Apparently she went after Trump and Cruz for what they said about the attacks in Brussels, but the diarist didn't bother to mention exactly what it was that she said.
I had to scroll through the comments to find what she said.
One comment that stood out was that she should have had a presidential seal on her podium.

There is nothing which I dread so much as a division of the republic into two great parties.. This...is to be dreaded as the greatest political evil under our Constitution.--John Adams
what's his name, HRC, and HRC advisors were very, very conservative repubs. Kos even more so and later in life than HRC.
People change during a lifetime, but rarely as much or as sincerely as the aforementiond claim, especially not without some deep spiritual change.
My take is that they were never progressive dems, but maybe had one or two issues that bothered them about repugs and sought to addrss those. Or money. In the 80's remember, the repug field was crowded with sycophants and it was tough to suck ones way to the top.Kos, Brock, Rahm, WJC, HRC all saw this and much like payday loan vendors found a way to skim more money from the downtrodden and defeated.
I got banned - twice. The first time was about 2004. The second time was 2015. Probably wasn't back more than a few months. Joined up to support Sanders. Pissed off some HRC supporters and that was it. I keep hoping the site fails but I have been hoping for that since I was banned the first time.
It won't go under. It will just become another irrelevant DNC organ that requires constant financial support from big money. I.e. from whatever they skim from us. Whatsisname will live well. His kids will go to Stanford or Yale with the other repugs.
Markos has apparently decided to kill his blog as anything with any political relevance at all. It has been in decline for a long while, but now he's pushing it off a cliff. Whether he's bored with running it, or whether he's been paid off by the Clintons, the sharp turn into authoritarian political orthodoxy appears to be an irrevocable break with the past there.
The new Left politics you have exemplified, and which has been given such a strong boost by Bernie Sanders' candidacy, will find other places to live and build community. This is a lovely place to hang out, and great writers like you can help us become What's Next.
All those months ago when kos declared with absolute patriarchal authority that HRC was going to be the Dem nominee, that was that, and we'd better get used to it ... and then he pulled back from writing anything himself. I went hmmmmmm.... Something is afoot. I wonder if that pronouncement involves $$$$$$$...? How much does one's conscience and ethics sell for nowadays?
Then the warning about the Ides of March banhammer, that nothing could be written to criticize his favored candidate...? WTF?!? Could censorship get any more blatant? What is this? Nineteen eighty-four with truth disappearing down the black hole? Are we all supposed to turn into Winston Smith at the end of the novel when he wept thinking he loved Big Brother???
What's going to happen if/when she gets indicted over her home email server (vs her declaration that nothing will happen with that)? Will kos just simply ignore it as if it never happened? I notice that Moronic Media rarely mentions the FBI investigation in my "news" feeds, so they're in cahoots with forcing HRC on us, too, especially since they are stone cold silent about Bernie, the LARGE, overflowing crowds Bernie gets who are so enthusiastic they cheer and applaud loud enough to cover what Bernie says sometimes (or maybe that one was just bad video I was listening to).
Those of us who are resistant to brainwashing need a place to play.

It's great to see you here.
I agree that there might have been some money or position offered him to sell out one of the first progressive websites that was created during the Bush years.
He is part of the new think tank that the DLC grew in to. So I think he's been working with the Clintons for quite some time.
The emails are one thing she could get indicted for, but I think Obama would give her cover for it just like he did for the banks.
I'm more concerned about the pay to play weapons scandal involving the Clinton foundation. I've asked her supporters if they would still not see anything wrong if it had been a republican SOS that had a charity and the husband first made money by giving speeches before the state department swooped in and sold them weapons and then gave their foundations millions?
And she had promised Obama that she wouldn't do things like that when it came to her foundation.

I've been frowning about that ever since I first read about it because the international implications could be devastating.
As for DK, I'm extremely disappointed that it's taken such a turn away from reality. It's quite a let-down.
Love your photos! I'm sending a link to a friend of mine who walks cemeteries gathering names for genealogy records of the one entitled "Old Grave Markers in Autumn." Are those markers metal? What were the names on them? Where is the cemetery? ND settlers from Odessa/Russia made metal grave markers, very often in an ornate style, but not like the ones you photographed.

That part of the world is so enchanting, and is probably one of the only parts of the country I could see myself leaving for if I can ever escape the gravitational pull of NYC.
I especially liked those of the California paths, which immediately matched very closely some of the images I had from reading a biography on Jack London, who settled in Sonoma Valley. I can't imagine how wild, rugged and staggeringly beautiful those hills and valleys must have been then at the turn of last century when he was there. He would ride his horse for miles and miles, making long excursions through the Northern California terrain. Another of my favorite writers settled in N. California also, that being Henry Miller. Before Big Sur became this hippie commune destination in the 60's Miller settled there in the 1940's I believe (Hunter Thompson lived there for a short time also, and interviewed Miller for an essay about the celebrated place it had become by then). He wrote wonderfully about the dense and rugged outpost he found after having had to flee Europe before WWII, so cut off from civilization that they would rely on sporadic supplies being brought in by a mailman. Big Sur and the Oranges of Hieronymus Bosch is a loving portrait of his content life there and the hearty and colorful characters he encountered who were also seeking a deeper and simpler spiritual life in the woods. Beautiful part of the world and I envy your interaction with its vastness and diversity.
Russian/Orthodox headstones always make me think of that indelible amazing burial scene in rural winter Russia at the beginning of Dr. Zhivago.

ads from the Clinton Foundation and direct links to it, then it will be more evident.
I don't think DK will go away though, just achieve a DNC type stasis. One DNC to rule us, one DNC to control us.
Funny thing is that the Democratic Party has had a terrible downturn since 2008, with its only major success (albeit a really big one) being the selection and election of Obama, who thank God defeated HRC 1. But other than that the DK influence has been fleeting at best, perhaps because its model is pretty outdated. It still has value linking to Buzzflash, Truthout, but little in relation to new content.
Enough of that though, my promise to myself is that DK is the past and this will be my last comment on it and whatishisname.
but if the primary voting started on the west and then went east and south, a lot of people would be thinking hilllary wasn't going anywhere.

Apparently she went after Trump and Cruz for what they said about the attacks in Brussels, but the diarist didn't bother to mention exactly what it was that she said.
I had to scroll through the comments to find what she said.
One comment that stood out was that she should have had a presidential seal on her podium.
Welcome home Tasani. I enjoy your writing.
There were problems with running a campaign of Joy while committing a genocide? Who could have guessed?
Harris is unburdened of speaking going forward.
I missed it
but I went back to rec it now.
Welcome Tasini
I'm pretty sure you were part of the initial email chain weren't you? Either way, nice to have you.
There is nothing which I dread so much as a division of the republic into two great parties.. This...is to be dreaded as the greatest political evil under our Constitution.--John Adams
It was a great and important post.
I'm so glad you did it. Thank you.
Good to see you here!

Important to remember that
what's his name, HRC, and HRC advisors were very, very conservative repubs.
Excellent and almost certainly accurate comment.

I got banned - twice. The first time was about 2004. The second time was 2015. Probably wasn't back more than a few months. Joined up to support Sanders. Pissed off some HRC supporters and that was it. I keep hoping the site fails but I have been hoping for that since I was banned the first time.
Prediction
It won't go under. It will just become another irrelevant DNC organ that requires constant financial support from big money. I.e. from whatever they skim from us. Whatsisname will live well. His kids will go to Stanford or Yale with the other repugs.
Welcome to the cool blue, Jonathan
Markos has apparently decided to kill his blog as anything with any political relevance at all. It has been in decline for a long while, but now he's pushing it off a cliff. Whether he's bored with running it, or whether he's been paid off by the Clintons, the sharp turn into authoritarian political orthodoxy appears to be an irrevocable break with the past there.
The new Left politics you have exemplified, and which has been given such a strong boost by Bernie Sanders' candidacy, will find other places to live and build community. This is a lovely place to hang out, and great writers like you can help us become What's Next.
Welcome!
Please help support caucus99percent!
I see someone else had the same thought as me
All those months ago when kos declared with absolute patriarchal authority that HRC was going to be the Dem nominee, that was that, and we'd better get used to it ... and then he pulled back from writing anything himself.

Good to see you.
Gëzuar!!
from a reasonably stable genius.
Thanks! :-)
Nice to "see" some friendly faces/names here.
I see my avatar/pix has been auto-placed at this site. I don't know how that happened because when I registered a couple of days ago I couldn't find where I could put my avatar/pix. Someone must have retrieved it from "the other place."
The above was my first comment, and I published a story from a Swedish paper (in English) just now, so my learning curve is going to be steep.
Good to be here!

Hi Nonny O
There were problems with running a campaign of Joy while committing a genocide? Who could have guessed?
Harris is unburdened of speaking going forward.
I agree with you regarding the pay to play Clinton Foundation
I've been frowning about that ever since I first read about it because the international implications could be devastating.
As for DK, I'm extremely disappointed that it's taken such a turn away from reality. It's quite a let-down.
Love your photos! I'm sending a link to a friend of mine who walks cemeteries gathering names for genealogy records of the one entitled "Old Grave Markers in Autumn." Are those markers metal? What were the names on them? Where is the cemetery? ND settlers from Odessa/Russia made metal grave markers, very often in an ornate style, but not like the ones you photographed.

Was piqued to view your photos after NonnyO's comment.
Really nice stuff.
Zhivago.

Welcome, NonnyO!
I did leave you a private message at TOP suggesting you check us out. I don't know if you ever saw it. But that doesn't matter; by one means or another, you're here now! Welcome!

Real life has been keeping me preoccupied and I've been trying to get to answer you, but haven't yet.
Hope all is going well in your life!

When we see
ads from the Clinton Foundation and direct links to it, then it will be more evident.

It is really a cathartic event that opens up a new life. Embrace the new life and never go back.
i'm not convinced it's unwinnable
but if the primary voting started on the west and then went east and south, a lot of people would be thinking hilllary wasn't going anywhere.
btw excuse the lower case, no, i'm not imitating an e.e.cummings style or trying to make some avante gard political statement -- just a wireless keyboard with a lost caps key, and i'm too cheap to get a new one right now.
Welcome Jonathan. You'll like it here, without the kindergarten-
level top-down rules of TOP. Hope you stick around after they deign to allow you to post there again (allow you back, that is, as long as you dutifully self-censor, in accordance with the ever-changing whims of the Clintonista mob.) The numbers of eyeballs over there are indeed very tempting--I completely get that--but once you deduct the eyeballs structurally unable to see a goddamn thing, the number of readers actually worth reaching turns out to be a lot less impressive.

Those Who Have Been Banned
I wonder if the HRCs are keeping a list and checking it twice, or more often.
Kaye
In any case, the banned list is nowhere near long enough yet
to suit a lot of them. Nothing says I'm a liberal quite like a good purge!
