Very nice!
She will go far. I needed a little Bonzo infusion there.
She is very good!
I started playing guitar in high school, late 80s. Being a rocker/metalhead, it was near obligatory to listen/learn a bunch of the Zep catalog of songs on guitar, so I have all the albums and have repeatedly listened to every released song, many, many times. I went to a couple Plant concerts because they would invariably play a couple Zeppelin tunes and have seen the Jason Bonham Experience a couple times as well.
What I really enjoyed from this girl is how well she keeps time and also captures the strength of Bonham's pounding...and she's so small for that sound! Seriously impressive.
I enjoy scouring the internet for youth playing these old songs with such proficiency; they make me smile.
Thanks for this one
Couldn't open the link without agreeing to Twitter conditions
But found the video here: https://www.inspiremore.com/yoyoka-soma-plays-led-zeppelin-on-drums/
And I think you're right! I enjoyed the foot detail too.
I would vote
for a 9 year old drummer girl from Japan for President. Nine year old girls from anywhere are awesome.
I've watched this 5x now
I'm no drummer, but holy shit is this girl good. Look at her foot go on the kick drum!! Can't decide what made me smile more, her technical skills, or her sheer joy when she knew she was in the groove.
Rock on girlfriend!
