I threw the I Ching and it threw me a curve

The I Ching or Yi Jing or Book of Changes, as the case may be, can e thrown with yarrow stalks or coins. Yarrow being scarce this time of year, I used coins, a choice which nay have influenced its the reading it proffered. It said -

This is a very auspicious day to throw some coin, or better yet currency, into the pot for Johnny. He does, after all continue to pay the bills to keep this august and noteworthy site up and running. While it is true that he pays, it is not proper that he should also fund these operations, that is for the readers and writers, the members, as it were.

Up in the left hand corner of the site, below the search bar and above the site menu link is an area containing all the tools and information one needs in order to perform such an operation.

The Ching, of course, but advises and suggests, the decision is yours, but, you know how the divination game works - a few bux, or even a few extra bux, at a properly propitious moment might well have significance beyond face value - just sayin'.

Have a good one.

Thanks for the news. Another Viet Nam indeed. Extremely disturbing.

From Allan Nairn, Democracy Now interview...

And this is done in the context of a deeply corrupt Guatemalan government that is, at that moment, trying to amend the laws of Guatemala so that all the convicted war criminals can be freed from jail. With the support of President Trump at this moment and with key outside support from President Netanyahu of Israel, who is lobbying the Trump administration on their behalf, and with Mike Pence acting as the point man, the current Guatemalan government is trying not only to free the war criminals from jail, but also to shut down all of the prosecutors within Guatemala, some of them U.N.-backed prosecutors with an institution called CICIG, who have been prosecuting President Morales of Guatemala himself and other oligarchs and military people for corruption. They’re trying to throw the—in some cases, throw the prosecutors out of the country; in other cases, fire them; and in all cases, strip away their police protection so they are standing there defenseless in the face of the mafias and drug dealers and corrupt politicians and oligarchs they’re trying to prosecute—all of this now being backed by Trump.

JtC is to be applauded, as are all of you, for maintaining this site so that no payment is required for full participation. This was done so that 99-percenters who cannot afford a regular donation can still be heard here. This is praiseworthy and solidaritous, and has inspired me to make a donation just now!
