recent news on the epic plight of julian assange

First: ‘Julian Assange Examined by Doctors As MSM And Democrats Push Fake Meeting With Paul Manafort’, By Aaron Kesel, Activist Post, December 16, 2018

“WikiLeaks founder and former editor Julian Assange underwent a series of medical exams, Ecuador’s top attorney Inigo Salvador said.

A lawyer for Assange stated he did not know the results of the medical tests, while further calling on Ecuador to produce documentation proving that the UK would not extradite him to any country where his life would be at risk. Most notably, an at-risk country would be the United States, which WikiLeaks noted just tortured a former CIA agent and suspected alleged WikiLeaks Vault 7 leaker, Joshua Schulte by bolting him to the floor, video-monitoring and strip-searching him. If we are being honest, when they got their hands on Assange, would probably do much of the same except 100x worse to the WikiLeaks founder for exposing numerous crimes by the U.S. government.

“We insist that they show us the letter from the United Kingdom,” Assange’s lawyer, Carlos Poveda said. Adding, “the protocol is meant to set the rules of his living situation, but it seems more like a penitentiary regime.” [snip]

@assangelegal  “As a matter of policy, UK will not reveal whether it has received an extradition request from the US until Assange is arrested in relation to that request.

“Assange’s doctor, Sean Love, has previously stated in an opinion piece that depriving him of medical care is “cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment.” Adding, “It is time for Australia to intervene.”

Other doctors who have previously examined Assange, Sondra Crosby, an associate professor at Boston University’s school of medicine and public health, and Brock Chisholm, a clinical psychologist in London have stated much the same.

All three called on safe passage for Assange to a hospital. In an article for the Guardian, they wrote:

While the results of the evaluation are protected by doctor-patient confidentiality, it is our professional opinion that his continued confinement is dangerous physically and mentally to him and a clear infringement of his human right to healthcare.

The above health concerns are coupled with surveillance technology that was a requirement for Assange to remain in the embassy, including signal jammers and all of the additional technology that is emitting various electromagnetic waves. So one can only guess about what condition Assange is in when it comes to his health.[big snip]

“As journalist and Internet Party NZ President Suzie Dawson previously posed the question in her “Being Julian Assange” mega-article on Assange’s situation and WikiLeaks’ history, “we need to ask ourselves whether we are we watching Assange die before our very eyes?”

Now I hadn’t seen that news on WikiLeaks on Twitter, unless it had been in Spanish, nor does Telesur english have it but more news from the Twittersphere:

from the Tweet above:
“Assange denounces 'espionage'

As a result of Ecuador's change of heart, the relationship between Assange and his hosts has soured, but the WikiLeaks founder is still reluctant to leave.
Venezuela-based Latin American broadcaster Telesur reported on Wednesday that Assange had claimed to be under surveillance within the embassy, an accusation he made to reporters in a video conference. Assange accused the FBI of running an operation to pressure Quito to end his political asylum deal and extradite him to the United States.
Assange claimed that his surveillance information was being sent directly to the FBI. He also criticized Ecuadorian authorities, saying that officials at the embassy had made "pejorative and threatening comments" about him and that his work as a journalist had been questioned.
The Australian spoke out against his housing restrictions, noting that he lives in a type of "solitary confinement," which is now threatening his health.”

Assange had also said in that teleconference that he was being tortured and killed like Jamal Kashoggi, only more... subtly.

on journalists who are victims, can you please let us know if Assange is mentioned? I am not surprised but disappointed that he was not one of the front covers.

Thanks, wendy.

bernie's poll numbers are sky high. i'd believe it, as per how many supporters show up for is many town halls? again, huge crowds. but as far as the more maligned, disparaged: how many in the west want assange dead, how many actually show up at the ecuadorian embassy for vigils held for him? a dozen or so? putting paid to the notions that '5000 supporters should show up and in the confusion spirit him out of the embassy? to where, of course, is never posited.

as for 'pedophile v/ suporting the murder of kindergarten children'...all i can make from the latter is that he's said that 'while tragic, the IDF over-reacted' to the killings of women and children in the march of the returns after the first two weeks, iirc.

he can live with that statement, as he can live with paying great posthumous homage to war criminal john mccain. few care about his zionism, as the US in a client state of the likkud government, in thrall to it. now some may have disparaged him for campaigning for clinton for the general election, but he was just being a good democrat as he'd announced he would be...if he didn't win the primary.

but if you'd meant something else, please correct my surmise, macedonian signal.

during the lead-up to the NY primaries; Hillary and her media friends said he was siding with the Sandy Hook killer (you know, the guy who shot up a CT elementary school) against the families of the dead kids. That one, interestingly enough, was suggested to the Clinton campaign by Harvey Weinstein, so I was already boycotting his movies before #MeToo came about.

I'm not saying, nor would I say, that Bernie Sanders is in as bad a situation as Assange. As for people not showing up for Julian's vigils, I wonder how many people in the U.S. know his name? People know Bernie's name because he ran for president. It's too bad Julian can't run for President, as an Australian; it's a great visibility exercise, and much could of it could be done by proxy.

And I'm not defending Bernie as a virtuous victim like Assange, or a hero like Assange. I was responding specifically to what was said, not to what was implied. Yes, Bernie has been plenty disparaged. Does that put him in the same category as somebody whose life is in danger? No. And Assange has obviously been far more disappeared.

those charges against bernie by the clinton campaign, but then i hadn't followed his campaign save for seeing headlines once he'd been on with martha raddatz in sept. 2015. i was disgusted by his hegemonic bent.

but the vigils with few attendees i'd spoken about were those in the UK at the ecuadorian embassy. as far as name recognition in the US, i believe it's well-known, and i'll let this despicable comment from the sole commenter on this diary at the café be what most believe about him:

"Where should I start?

1. Assange has legal problems regarding his sexual behavior?
2. Assange took his Wikileaks into an arena where he took his recently recognized opportunity and turned it into a distribution channel for the Russian’s hacking results.
3. A government delivered ‘sanctuary’ to Assange.
4. And this foreign government “sanctuary” is tiring of its status on the world stage, and is attempting to revoke this sanctuary status.
5. Assange turned himself into a political pariah and much to his probable dismay.

Need I say more?"

the rest of his comment is indecipherable, but i did give him this link to read, not that he will. https://justice4assange.com/

as for running for prez of australia, again i'll reference james cogan's nov. 20, 2018 'Australian establishment collaborates in US vendetta against Julian Assange', wsws.org (a few outtakes):

Prime Minister Scott Morrison has explicitly reiterated the Liberal-National Coalition government’s support for the persecution of Assange, while the Labor Party and the various “minor” parties and independents in the parliament have remained silent. This includes the Greens and Andrew Wilkie, a former intelligence officer who blew the whistle in 2003 on the lies about “weapons of mass destruction” that were used to invade Iraq.

In 2010, the Greens and Wilkie sought to bolster their fraudulent claim to represent a genuine opposition to the Coalition and Labor by posturing as defenders of Assange and freedom of speech. However, as Australian imperialism has ever-more closely aligned with the US drive toward war with China over domination of the Indo-Pacific, they have abandoned Assange and openly aligned with the major parties.

The pseudo-left groups, most prominently Socialist Alliance and Socialist Alternative, are also continuing their years of silence on the persecution of Assange. Their stance flows from their politics. They repudiated any defence of Assange because it requires opposition to the Labor Party, the Greens and the trade unions. The pseudo-lefts orbit around and promote those parties and organisations, reflecting the interests of a privileged middle class layer with vested interests in maintaining the political status quo.

The “Victorian Socialists,” a pseudo-left electoral front standing candidates in the November 24 election in the Australian state of Victoria, is preferencing its votes to Labor and the Greens, lauding them as “progressive” parties. Predictably, none of its candidates, particularly its main personality Stephen Jolly, have said a word about Julian Assange.

so, no, he'd have no visible base, nor would he want to run a campaign, as he's fighting for his life, and i reckon...his sanity with all that's being done to him, including the massive amount of microwaves in his virtual prison cell.

but click on the r/way of the bern site on the left sidebar Blog Roll and see what i mean about his incredible popularity. highest polling numbers, second is joe biden (biden?!?, lol) r/kossacks for sanders might be similar, i hadn't clicked in.

in fact, two or three character assassinations, have been done on Julian. This Russia thing is only one in a line, just more dangerous than usual because geopolitics is more dangerous than usual.

And of course such efforts have been widely spread on line, because unfortunately, that's now one of the main purposes of the internet: the spreading of propaganda. Those of us still trying to use it for the purposes we all believed in about fifteen years ago--conversation, information flow, debate, greater understanding among people of vastly different backgrounds, a general trend toward democratization, actual journalism based on facts--are still here, but vastly outnumbered. But it's easy to outnumber people when you can invent all the people you want digitally and send them out to say all sorts of things.

However, none of that means that he has name recognition out in the general public. Americans are constantly connected to the internet (for the most part), yes, but you can be on the internet and never see anything political outside of corporate media, if that's the way you want it. Maybe it's different in the UK; I don't really know. I'd just like to see the numbers on how many people know who he is.

“It is time for Australia to intervene.”

It's long past time for Australia to intervene and get Julian to safety. After hearing what is happening to Joshua Schulte, Pompeo has the gaul to lecture North Korea about human rights abuses. And censorship.

Julian used to have his cat for companionship, but he sent it to his family for safety. Good lord! How cruel must one be to threaten a cat?

If the rumors are true then it's Hillary who should be charged for pedophilic behavior as well as for sex trafficking and lots of other heinous acts. If ... and there is lots of evidence showing that it is. (there is their connection with Jeffrey Epstein, the serial statutory rapist for one thing)

IMG_2902.JPG

Have you seen these tweets? I've given this b*tch a small piece of my mind for what it's worth.

"

That prompted WikiLeaks to get involved, tweeting to Snowden directly asking if he would like them to sue this “serial fabricator.

The threat didn’t deter Mensch, however, who responded by announcing that she was planning to publish a story on her website claiming WikiLeaks and Snowden have been “Russian assets” since 2011. In fact, she even doubled down, tweeting that the two are “essentially the same entity” and working on behalf of Moscow, a claim which WikiLeaks called “false and defamatory.”
Mensch provided no actual evidence for her theories, but typically, evidence-free rambling has been her standard.

There has been no end to the number of people and things Mensch has labelled as Russian assets and plots in recent years. The list includes US Senator Bernie Sanders, the Black Lives Matter protests in Ferguson and even Hollywood’s #MeToo movement.

It's always good to see people pushing back on this type of comments.

@wendy davis

I wonder why no one ever managed to interview him.

an old comment-

Story behind the pedophilia smear

against Assange has many twists and turns.

But it appears the plot has been partially unraveled by minds posting on reddit, 4chan, etc.

The main actor is a man called Akhtunde Sahara Reid-Kapo.( born 1983)

He is ToddandClare, the spurious dating service which invented the pedophilia charge against Assange. ( launched in USA by our friends at TOP). He seems to be an online hustler of some kind. The best physical address for him is an expensive London apartment occupied by Margo Reid, thought to be his mother.

TBK runs Schiel and Denver Publishing, which shares street addresses with T&C. Another is YamieChess. A sub of YC is Statsdrome, which does data work for hire, including to "military".

There is only the question of why TRK did what he did.

The sleuths on case are puzzled by the fact that the operation was more complicated than needed for a simple scam for profit. And T&C blew it up themselves, when it all could have been used on another mark. So it looks like the point was not to make money, but to attack Arrange in a way meant to enrage the public against him, painting him as an actual danger to children. That charge alone might justify removing him from the embassy, cut him off Internet at the very least.

So why would TBK do this? Either he is crazy on Assange, or someone paid him to do it. If so, who would that be?

This is where things get murky. The sexy connection is with Premise Data, a firm in SF with clear links to Clinton.
There is an office address used by both T&C and Premise. This is the weakest as many companies go through these offices and Premise says coincidence only here.

The point: Premise said they left address in August 2015. T&C isn't active there until October, so you have a break in the chain. However the present tenant began occupancy in November, and says that Premise had some presence there into October. They never saw any person from T&C. (This is off Reddit thread.)

This is the question of fact here which can be investigated and answered.

Who, if anyone, paid the landlord for the use of 645 7th st.( SF) from August until November?

If Premise was on that lease, even though they were not physically present, then I would say Lucy has got some 'splaining to do.

***
!.TBK's Yamie Chess lists a statistical data subdivision might have overlapped with Premise somewhere, bringing TRK to their attention.

2. Premise head Soloff claims PhD(ABD) UC Berkeley. As pointed out by offended reddit mind, there is no such thing. He did not complete his degree and tries to fool people on the front of his business site, impressing them with Berkeley. It is probably not that hard to bust out of their grad program. Small thing maybe, but to anyone who struggled to get through graduate school, this is a major lie.

Of course, he may not be in on T&C at all, but as a professional liar he fits well with HRC folk. Great
photo with HRC!

Assange pedophilia story

The story of Todd and Clare just gets stranger and stranger.

Based on what is presented here: My name is Todd and Clare, and I'm from the UN – Medium [https://medium.com/@0xdeadbabe/my-name-is-todd-and-clare-and-im-from-the-un-3c0c9125c106_green]

The link is : T&C -----> S&D Publishing ------> Tunde Reid-Capo -----> Jamie Chess -----> Premise Data.

Read very last of posted to see plausible "connection" between JC and Premise.

T&C set up at old Premise address which premise had just vacated. Perhaps the address was given to agent Tunde Reid-Kapo as a "clever" use of an empty building.

TRK is the man to find.

I found the linked post to be careful and consistent with what I have from other sources. But as always ...

Too many people in positions of power have all types of plans for Julian if his feet ever touch US soil and we know that he would never get a fair hearing especially if he's charged under the espionage act which doesn't allow one. It's unconstitutional and should go the way of the dodos.

What kind of sovereign state doesn't intervene on behalf of one of its citizens when that citizen hasn't committed any crime except to publish things that the elites of another sovereign state don't want published? What kind of sovereign state allows one of its citizens to be confined under threat of torture or death if they emerge? What kind of sovereign state allows another sovereign state to threaten to extradite said citizen to another sovereign state intent on carrying out his torture or death, for no reason except that he told some truths they didn't want known?

Mensch, a former conservative British MP, did what she does best and made everything about Russia.

She doesn't appear to be very bright either.

In one of her strangest theories yet, Mensch claimed that Donald Trump had been stealthily impeached and replaced as president by Utah senator Orrin Hatch in a process hidden from the public.

Then there's this tidbit.

#MeToo movement is ‘Kremlin propaganda’ says Russiagate conspiracy theorist Louise Mensch

If, like most people, you were under the impression that the #MeToo movement is about exposing instances of sexual harassment and abuse, you’d be wrong. It’s actually a Kremlin plot designed to bring down great American men.

HA!! Ha ... oh Lordy. ROTFLMAO!

But Mensch’s latest theory isn’t going down too well with more moderate Russiagaters or with, well, anyone really.

Some have posited that Mensch herself may be a Kremlin plot designed to make the American left look insane.

Hell. Just like racism in America goes back centuries, Russia doesn't have to lift a finger to make today's American left look insane.

I'm cracking myself up.

To the extent that #MeToo is used to bring people down, rather than to justly accuse, it sure as shit doesn't have anything to do with the Kremlin. It's more like the justified accusations are being used to create an atmosphere which both gives cover to political takedowns and provides a bludgeon to those wanting to silence dissent.

i'd forgotten that measure; thank you. i reckon that's partially what i'd meant upthread concerning 'Assange is in a tie with Bernie for most disparaged or disappeared person of the decade.' now there are entire msm websites dedicated to smearing, lying about assange: the daily beast, the atlantic, emptywheel, the guardian, the intercept, the NYT an the WaPo, many many others. and they've poured on more gas since WL published cia vaults 7 and 8, *and* lenin morenno making a deal to bind and gag him even more mercilessly...and get him to Gitmo.

the psyops and lies all worked, of course, and any peeps on the fence are now utterly convinced that julian is a 'threat to world security', wipes his hands on his jeans, and was brutal to his embassy cat. assange is anti-war, anti-imperialism, and helps to 'open governments'.

bernie? he's no actual threat to power as a reform capitalist, plus he's an imperialist with a few possible recent exceptions someone might bring up, like funding saudi arabia, whereas he used to say that 'saudi arabia should get their hands dirty and fight ISIS', lol.

but it's not hard to imagine that julian will either die in the embassy via an assassin, or get 'taken to the hospital' w/ john bolton driving the ambulance which would head straight to heathrow and >>> gitmo. it will be nigh onto impossible to bear for so many of us.

methodically and habitually smear both Julian and Bernie, but I've reconsidered my earlier statement about it being about equal; the fascists apparently can't figure out whether they want to use Bernie or destroy him. They keep trying to do both. Whereas, with Julian, they have no such ambivalence.

Again, I would love to see numbers on how many people, in the U.S., for instance, even know who Julian is. I bet it's painfully small.

That one got them extremely riled, much more so than anything since Snowden (and yeah, I know you don't think much of Snowden, but the PTB were absolutely freaking out in the early days of that leak).

i don't think much of snowden's politics, but that's a much longer story. and again, i wrote up the snowden docs for my.firedoglake for months while kevin gosztola was covering the manning trial. until he and greenwald stoppped drip-dripping them, that is.

with the various people doing the leaks--we know they did with The Guardian; WaPo is clearly quite well controlled, in fact, absorbed by the Deep State and their buddy Jeff Bezos; that leaves Laura Poitras and Greenwald. Greenwald caved, Poitras caved. That last is the saddest, I think. She took all sorts of risks to do her work, but in 2017, she came out and did the obligatory "Julian Assange is a bad guy" speech in the corporate press.

@wendy davis @mimi
I'm sure this is preferred. Just noticed it yesterday.

The similarity I see is Bernie and Corbyn both maligned by the press. Assange is more than maligned... he is imprisoned and will be convicted in a secret court of secret crimes if the US has its way....quite a difference in my view.

Mimi, I did catch the Hedge's interview where I discovered these clips. Thanks!

“Until justice rolls down like water and righteousness like a mighty stream.”

would at least go to bat for Assange as much as they did for David Matthew Hicks. Australia should have an idea what's in store for him.

tonight's closing song is for julian. the playing for change band live in australia.

Here though I trod through this valley
I will fear no evil
'Cause I know
Jah guide, Jah guide, Jah guide
Though my enemies fight me everyday
I will fear no evil
Though my enemies set traps in my way
Still I will fear no evil
'Cause Jah guide, Jah guide, Jah guide
