I've been saying it for a while, and now Jimmy Dore is calling bullsh*t on these polls too.
This is only the latest naked push poll by the Democratic establishment.
I've pointed this out in previous polls.
The establishment continues to try to force Joe Biden down our throats. Let's recall one of their previous efforts.
Former Vice President Joe Biden leads President Donald Trump by 7 percentage points in a head-to-head match-up, according to a new POLITICO/Morning Consult poll.A plurality of registered voters, 44 percent, said they’d choose Biden in the 2020 presidential election, while 37 percent of voters said they would vote for Trump.
Creepy Joe is the overwhelming favorite, especially amoung Democrats, right?
No. In fact, they are counting on you to not read the very next paragraph, which destroys the entire narrative.
Biden holds a less-than-commanding position within his own party: Among Democrats, an unnamed generic Democrat runs 9 points better than Biden in a match-up with Trump. "Notably, 89 percent of Democrats say they would vote for a generic Democrat over Trump, but only 80 percent of Democrats say they prefer Biden over Trump,” said Morning Consult Managing Director Tyler Sinclair.
In other words, Democrats would prefer almost ANY other Democrat over Biden.
It turns out that Biden was the only Democratic choice given in this poll, which makes it a push-poll.
Because Biden and whoever his supporters may be right now have apparently missed the memo, let's break this situation down.
First, American voters on each side of the traditional partisan aisle are shouting loudly and clearly that they're tired of establishment politicians.
...And now along comes Biden, with his decades in Congress and eight years as vice president portraying himself as a possible great hope?Please
I don't think that TPTB expect Biden to win the Democratic nomination.
Instead they want to make candidates like Kamala Harris and Corey Booker look like good alternatives, by making progressives expend their energy fighting an even worse neoliberal in Biden.
IOW, the lesser evil strategy within the Democratic Party.
Anything other than Bernie.

It is really as simple as that. No need to overthink it. The Democrats stand at the threshold of making the same identical mistake they made in 2016 — running "insiders" who stand to the "right" of their base.
I don't think the Democratic Establishment is stupid, but they are locked inside a logic maze and can't find a way out. To play the Party game, they must raise, frankly, obscene amounts of money. To get money from the public they follow the standard formula: Spout platitudes, lie about who they really stand for, and pretend to have the same concerns and hopes that the American people do. But it's the Big Donor funds they really need. The Big Donors will give freely to either or both parties — if the Party bosses will get behind their Neoliberal/neocon business and finance agendas. So, of course, they make the Big Donor deal — just as they have done for so many decades. Unfortunately, those agendas make it financially impossible to invest in society or the nation, and in many cases, those things are privatized and degraded, instead.
The Democrats are stuck. They cannot escape their orbit, even if they wanted to. I think they are in for another disappointment.

Joe Biden has represented the big banks and credit card companies well while in Congress. He is in no small part responsible for the fact that distressed Americans can never get out of their student loans or credit card debt.
