Hey Younguns, Let's Make Some Big Money off Medicare!
Vulture Capitalists ready to descend and get some easy pickings off Medicare.
Medicare? That's for old people, no?
For the first time, young Americans will surpass Baby Boomers as the largest generation of Americans eligible to vote. Here’s why #Medicare matters for young people. #SaveMedicareNow https://t.co/bBcgJ7k8YZ

Some EBers may be nearing the time to make decisions about Medicare.
Even though the TX legislature made us to change to Medicare Advantage Employer group , jb and I strongly suggest going with traditional Medicare and add on a supplement secondary policy if needed.
Trump, however, LOVES Medicare Advantage. Can you think why?
Fact check: during this open enrollment you can choose a Medicare Advantage plan *OR* choose to switch back to original Medicare, which may be the best choice for people who have concerns about narrow networks or inappropriately denied claims. pic.twitter.com/wmqmoO3Z5n

Medicare Advantage companies during the Trump regime have been up to all sorts of shenanigans, gaming the federal CMS for more funding, denying coverage right and left.
CMS is reducing consumer protections in Medicare Advantage, increasing payments to MA plans & adding benefits they won’t include in original Medicare. This harms patients, Medicare & taxpayers. Medicare Advantage Plans Found to Improperly Deny Many Claims https://t.co/5O6ITSb7eU

Medicare itself is not perfect but it has made life better for millions. There is a learning curve, however, ahead in order to be a savvy consumer.

The For Profit Medicare Advantage corporations' lobby spends millions getting Congress to support further privatization of Medicare. Don't be fooled!
Don't be fooled.Private MA plans are thriving due to Govt largesse and latitude not forthcoming for traditional Medicare.CMS could enhance coverage in regular Medicare if they wanted- and save Medicare money. That's not really the goal. #SaveMedicareNow

Or hey, maybe some of you youguns' have some extra millions lying around to invest in the Medicare Advantage industry. It's hot! /s

Their plan is to use tech and other changes to provide great coverage for Seniors. Wouldn't that be great. And they plan to make some big money. I am too cynical to get excited over it.
MA market apparently potentially so lucrative that the number of companies going into it has:

We all know that millions still don't have healthcare coverage.
We need a true single payer, improved Medicare for All Plan.
PNHP president Dr. @CarolParis7 cautions against half-measures masquerading as #MedicareForAll. Only #SinglePayer would guarantee quality care and provide meaningful financial protection for all. https://t.co/w6XRK78ka9 via @nytimes

But getting one through a captured Congress that will be a truly single payer plan that benefits all Americans, not one that will further enrich the oligarchs , is key.

I hate to sound like this, but
Before we can get real health care, single player, rather than some half assed pseudo single payer designed to fail, we need to first get a Berniecrat majority in both houses and a Berniecrat president. Any less and either the Republican fascists will block it or the Democratic fascists will sabotage it. That's just the cold, hard truth.
I'm not suggesting that we all vote republican, but we have to vote Berniecrat wherever possible and if not vote Green or Socialist or anyone but a corruptocrat. Yes, the next 2 years will be hell, no shit, perhaps America will become a fascist dictatorship. But if the corruptocrats are not purged fascism is certain. You cannot win a war when your generals are all traitors, period.
On to Biden since 1973
Absolutely correct.
A truth of the nuclear age/climate change: we can no longer have endless war and survive on this planet. Oh sh*t.

Why do seniors need healthcare anyway?
Don't they have bootstraps?

I'm thinking
I might have to try one.
Do they come in salteen flavor?
The soup from bone marrow is sometimes lacking.
Regardless of the path in life I chose, I realize it's always forward, never straight.
Really, damn oldsters should bootstrappit!
Too many do not.
Others, oldies, might qualify for Medicare but don't have the energy or health to navigate the grossly complex system. My mother spent hours and hours on it. Thank god Medicaid is paying for her technical nursing stay. Medicare or Medicare Advantage sure as hell won't pay for any lengthy long term care.
So yeah, we had the bootstraps to cover our part. Most Americans apparently don't have $500, much less the say @15,000.
A truth of the nuclear age/climate change: we can no longer have endless war and survive on this planet. Oh sh*t.
It's stunning that people consent
C'est la vie.
"Obama promised transparency, but Assange is the one who brought it."
A real problem for seniors who can only afford Medicare Advantag
Instead of a "D", "G" or "F" policy.
Even with it, my sister has to pay $197 for one month's supply of Xarelto, 15% of her total income. For the dug alone.
I've seen lots of changes. What doesn't change is people. Same old hairless apes.
It's pretty simple. Should health care in this country be a
free market capitalist for profit system or should it be a non-profit system to save costs and provide equal benefits to all citizens.
The republican voters in the 70% peasant class are fucking stupid. That's not to say the democratic party voters in the 70% peasant class aren't.
The standard depiction of Americans among Europeans
"Obama promised transparency, but Assange is the one who brought it."
I was called a "stupid American" my first week in West
I've seen a couple commercials in this area from the republicans who are scaremongering the public about the democrats plan to "socialize" health care, take away your choice of doctors, increase taxes by 100%, etc. That's why I was referring to the 70% peasant class who vote for republican as stupid. I can see some in the middle, upper middle, and upper classes doing so in spite of the republicans stance on health care, but the lower class doing so is, like you say above, stunning. Because like I said, in the end this is a pretty simple issue when looked at broadly. It's an ethical human issue regarding human rights.
Only if humans think so.
It appears, in this country, humans tend to think about what they want instead of what they need.
Critical thinking is not what the masses desire or want in my opinion.
They need fodder.
Regardless of the path in life I chose, I realize it's always forward, never straight.
Instead of healthcare,
The cost would be low, but we should still charge the users $500 for a download, just on principle. We don't want to drag any free-loaders along.
I'll bet I could get at least 20 repug Senators to sign on to the above as a replacement for Medicaid.
"Obama promised transparency, but Assange is the one who brought it."
Bravo.
That's a cute thought.
Regardless of the path in life I chose, I realize it's always forward, never straight.
I think this has changed these days, Big Al
I think some Europeans see you as victims of your own system that has been corrupted completely by mobster oligarchs and militarism. Thinking Americans are stupid is stupid. It's just horrible what happens in the US. I wished you weren't the masters of the universe, because it's not as if a benign God is handlign your affairs, but the devil in sheep clothes.

And considering the state of affairs in Europe,
common European class?
hmm, who is that? I am one of them. I can talk. Doesn't mean I am understood, but I don't feel threatened by blank stares as a reaction to what I am uttering once in a while.
